This is the one I bought 5x of. The plastic shell on 1 has split though exposing the circuit-board but still holds together when snapped on some level.
Some people swear by the official PS4 dongle for best experience but for me these seem fine.

Here's my favorite out of box wifi dongle for linux, thank god someone sells a USB incase onboard wifi is a issue (I think they sell these at office depo in stores too if that's a thing where you are)

From 2017, this wireless USB has a Linux driver that works, not sure if it's built into the latest version of Mint at this time.
Back then, you had to download a zip file, run "make", and then "make install" to get it up and running. I verified the zip file is still there - so there were a couple of hoops to jump through, though.
I occasionally test my wireless router using a cheap $9 JUE 301 nano USB on my desktop that is just plug and play on Linux 19.2. Can't say if the support has been built in for your model at this time, it's easy enough to test using the live boot.
I was pleasantly surprised how well Linux (and Mint) has come along in recent years, it's worth having another look :)
