I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Q7EPSHI which is ~$280.
I also bought this frame: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NHWGGWE ~$200.
I would recommend both.

You could absolutely slap it on top of a home made frame. The biggest thing is to have enough support underneath to prevent sagging.

It's funny you mention this, the following link has been in my Amazon cart for a while now but I might just pull the trigger.

Do you think this would be easy enough to pack up when moving apartments? I have about 10 months left on my lease.

Definitely solves my bed skirt issue and yours looks much better than the one I have linked below.

Hey man, thanks for the reply!

>What's your budget?

I have always been very stingy with my money, but I would say no more than $1000. I know that won't get me much based off other things I've seen on this subreddit. Why is furniture so damned expensive?

>What's your situation?

Single, 22 year old male, working full time and going to school either full time or part time (depends on the semester). I don't have many people over, but I just want to improve the furniture I have now so that when I get my own place soon, I can work on just the living room and kitchen areas.

>What's your purpose?

I can't really come up with any purpose other than "I want nicer stuff than what I have now" lol. It's my bedroom, and I usually do work on my desk or play games on my desk (Steam) or on my bed (Xbox). I don't spend too much time in here since I'm always so busy, but when I do get free time, I'm typically in my room or playing hockey.

>What's your style?

I'm awful at this. I like the modern mid-century stuff on here, but not the price. I like black or darker furniture. I can't really place anything that "represents me well". However, I did just order these two pieces of furniture for my room (hopefully I don't regret it):

>What's your view?

I live in on the 3rd floor of an apartment complex and there's literally just a tree outside my window, so there's not much to see outside.

Thanks again for the help you've already given and any more that you provide me with!

I remember reading this exact review because it’s from the bed I bought! If anyone’s curious it’s this one.

For anyone looking at a more affordable platform bed, I would highly recommend this purchase from Amazon.

I purchased it about 3 years ago and I've been incredibly happy with it. It's been through one move with me. All the parts cleverly pack up into the headboard.

Plus free, 2-day shipping is pretty tough to beat on an item that weighs almost 100lbs.
