The Behringer that /u/BangsNaughtyBits recommends below is spot-on. I just picked up the 4-mic version recently and it’s really good. Grab those mics he recommended, too. Throw in some foam windscreens, some shock mounts, and some boom arms and youre good to go.
youre looking at around $170 all-in on gear for 2 speakers.
u/hacd123 - with a $300 audio budget, you can get a $199.99 used Zoom H5 recorder with a case plus a $99.20 SGH-6 shotgun capsule.
If you can stretch your budget by a few dollars, you can get a $217.99 Amazon Renewed Zoom H5 recorder with a 90 day warranty instead of a used recorder with no warranty [Referrals].
The H5 with the SGH-6 will give you very clean audio, as seen here (better than the DR-10SG because the H5's preamps are cleaner).
Again, hope this is helpful!
Friend of mine uses this for PC gaming but we've used it to record games before and it works quite well.

a microphone sock
I'll try this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0718THT3F/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_XJdDzbGYD0PKV
(Thought about getting them in white and drawing in irises... but I think I might freak myself out while walking to the bathroom at 4am)
Since there isn't an option to disable vocal overdrive, there are a few things you can do to prevent accidental activation.
Keep the handle of the mic pointed at the speakers. The "business" end of the mic will pick up sounds directed at it.
Use a mic stand to reduce handling noise. This is especially important with the Mad Catz mic. It does not have any sort of internal shock mount. The older Logitechs have a rubber gasket. If you're on a hard floor with people bouncing around, put the mic stand on a towel or rug.
Get a foam pop filter. They greatly reduce breath and wind noise (ceiling fans). Plus they catch spit. Think about that the next time your mic is passed around at a party.

Everything u/LeviathanUltima is spot on with my experience. The only issue I had with the mic was that it would pick up noise from my ceiling fan. I was able to resolve this by getting a cheap foam mic filter for the mic: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0718THT3F/
I did have to zip tie the filter on but it works just fine and no more complaints from my buddies on Discord.
Buy a few of these and keep them with your gigging gear. Band-aid fix to be sure, but it's not your job to fix the venue's shitty gear and personally I would just want to get on with my show instead of wasting time in soundcheck chasing ground issues (which is something the venue should sort out on it's own time if you ask me).
kk. So assuming you were using the built in mic that would be cause for the wind. Sadly tho there is almost nothing you can do to remove the wind in post. I did find a link to a video about connecting an external mic to the Osmo though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8lGQ_-cknQ
If the videos are just you talking whilst showing off a home then a simple lav mic would be a good investment. They can be had for cheap on amazon. But make sure to get one with a "dead cat", or buy one separately. All will come with the standard black foam mic cover, which is fine for indoors but useless once outdoors. Hence needing one with a dead cat. They will eliminate most, if not all wind noise (depending on the weather conditions) and this will help for any future videos you make. But sadly once you have wind noise in the audio track it's almost impossible to remove. Hope this helps =)
