Thanks for yet another chance to score the best haul everrrrr! <3

Here we go!

  1. Okay, so this one kind of is "boring" and all, but I LOVE it for its simplicity. It's a bold style while being sophisticated. I also reallllllly like this one and this super trippy one. So many taped lines! Yay!

  2. Congrats on almost being in a bigger and better place! My truly terrible living arrangement occurred when I decided to leave my husband (then boyfriend) to find "true love" or prince charming or some shit. Not my brightest move. Turns out I totally didn't realize that having a well-established, financially secure, loving guy providing me with a 3/2 in a nicer neighbor actually considers him prince charming. Since I wasn't working at the time (college woes!), I could only afford $250 a month... Long story short I literally moved into a crack house. I wasn't aware HOW crack house it was until I got there, but I had no choice really. I'm also hardcore straight edge, so it was weird to say the least. I basically hid in my room 24/7 unless I was slipping out to classes. I got "robbed" 3 times while I lived there which meant all my saved up money kept going missing, and even worse my guns (self defense, woo) suddenly disappeared (again, stolen). I called after the 27th day because my life was clearly a wreck and I had made a very poor decision. Hubby came to the rescue, yayayay! We are happily ever after now, in a home that is not suck. :3

  3. LOOK AT HIS TENTACLEY FACEEEEE!

  4. So pretty, so tasty.

  5. Is this too creepy? If you totally don't think so, you need it! She's adorable with her little bow and winky face. :3 If that IS too creepy, then perhaps you need this because everyone needs a favorite mug!

If my luck happens to change and I somehow win the lottery, I would love the following colors!

I just bought a whole bunch of camping stuff for the bike. Basically, I focused on a two things; Pack size and weight. I'm aiming to fit everything in some hard cases, and I think I have enough space for all of this plus food and clothes for a week quite comfortably.

The thing I realised is that the tent and sleep system will cost the most. The tent you can skimp a little on if you're ok with it wearing out after a few seasons.

So, I was able to save a lot by getting a Kelty tent; they make some great 2-4 man tents that are super portable. The Salida 2 might be the most appropriate for you. I'm able to set up the Salida 4 in about 5 minutes. It's not quite as easy as the "pop-up" tents, but its pretty damn light and packs down into a manageable size. $113 and you'll want the footprint $32

Self inflating mattresses seem to take too much space. So I went for a Therm-a-rest all season mattress. There's a new model coming out I think but the one for $109 seems fine. Yes, expensive but I think it will be worth it - it improves the temperature rating of the bag and will fit inside the sleeping bag I got.

Get a warm sleeping bag. Something like this Big Agnes $179 is good. It will accept the mattress so that you don't fall off it during the night. It will back down tight and unlike a down sleeping bag it will stay dry longer and will perform well for longer. Down is "the best" but unless you need to sleep through sub freezing temps you should be ok. Can always stick one of these underneath $22 to improve things.

This is an awesome stove for $14. Fits on standard camp stove bottles and is very wide and stable. You need to buy the gas at a camping store.

You'll want other stuff:

  • Cook set. Lots of single person/2 person cook sets out there that are great on a small stove.
  • Cutlery and plates. I have a lightweight aluminium plate set and some cutlery for it.
  • A collapsable bucket thing so you can wash your stuff when you're finished, and also so you can carry water from a water source.
  • A water filter if you're counting on drinking water from a water source.
  • A tool kit for your bike.
  • A first aid kit.
  • Paper maps of the areas you will ride through.
  • LED rechargeable lanterns/lights etc so you can find stuff in the dark.
  • A multitool, a nice big camping/hunting knife to cut stuff with when you're bored, a camping axe and a shovel so you can bury your excrement if needed.
  • Some way to start a fire if needed, matches, lighter, etc.
  • Inflatable pillow.
  • This seems to work great for coffee.
  • dry bags/sacks to store stuff in.
  • Something to store food in.

And you'll want some motorcycle specific luggage that fits to your bike. I'm a fan of Kriega system bags for sports bikes as you can strap a whole bunch of the bags together to store everythign you need nicely. A bit expensive but when you start looking at the options you might find it's hard to fit everything you want on the bike without investing in some good luggage for the bike.

People may disagree with some of the things I've said, thats cool. I just went through all of this myself so figured it might help. YMMV etc.
u/Mach10X · 2 pointsr/abv

I have tried letting it sit at room temperature, it can take days and the potency is not quite as as high. You'll get the most if you still do the freezing and add soy lecithin powder.

If you want to try it without adding heat at least heat the oil before hand to be hot but not scalding then mix the ABV powder, lecithin, and oil together and seal the container, let it sit for about a day then freeze it for at least 2 hours, then let it sit for another day, and if possible freeze it one more time. Freezing is even more important when doing it without a heat source. If you have a computer, xbox, or other mild heat source you can also keep your sealed container near that.

Here's an example of a perfect container to make your ABV oil in since it has a sealing lid and a small vent if needed: http://www.amazon.com/CorningWare-1035985-French-White-20-Ounce/dp/B0002KZMCO/ref=sr_1_10?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1377078391&sr=1-10&keywords=ceramic+crock+lid

If you want to try making these stealthily try this:
A little mini crockpot is pretty cheap, many of them are labeled as potpourri warmers or even a candle warmer would work well, if you can't find these locally Amazon has them very cheaply. What I'd suggest is placing the ABV, lecithin, and oil in a ceramic container with a tight fitting lid to lower the smell to almost nothing then let it sit for a couple of hours. Let it cool then pop it in the freezer with the lid still on tight. Pure citrus sprays such as pure citrus orange (walmart) or Citrus II which you can get at a restaurant supply store is great at covering up odors and smells wonderful. Ozium is also a great tool to use.

Another thing you can use is activated charcoal. This is available anyplace that has aquarium supplies (pet stores, walmart, target, etc) place a good amount into a sock and tie off the end then place the socks in your stash and keep one very close to the mini crock or candle warmer, it will significantly reduce the odor. Even if you're making this at room temperature I'd still recommend the activated carbon. It also works well for making sploofs.

If you have any more questions please let me know! And remember that soy lecithin, freezing, and time are the three most important things to making a successful and potent batch!

Yayyy more gauntlets! Alright here it goes:

  • Here is a cool geometric mani. I love it with the neons. I also really like this one. The different hues look really cool. [This}(http://www.pinterest.com/pin/115193702939043256/) last one is really cool with the gradient rays. Striping tape is fun but it takes some getting used to for sure. It's time consuming!

  • Haha my house story. Well it's mostly my families terrible house story. My dad is a very frugal man. Ok just kidding he is cheap. So for most of my childhood we lived in the ghetto and by the time I got close to high school my mom wanted out of there so I could be closer to a better school. My dad says fine and starts looking for another house. We decided to rent and my dad says he has a "hookup". Turns out a guy he works with bought a pretty big house but his wife left him right after so he wanted to get back into something smaller and was willing to rent it out. The house fit our needs and was in a good area so my dad jumped on it. Little do we know he is doing this completely illegally. He is just making the house payment as if he was the guy. Just going right to the bank and paying it in his name and no one ever knew. Well 2-3 years later the guy freaking dies! We have no connection to him or his family and we didn't know what to do. We kept making the payment for like 4 years in this dead guys name and the bank never said a word until we moved out. Lol.

  • Here is a cool picture of one. I love going to the aquarium and seeing these things. So weird looking lol.

  • This recipe for the southern porch sipper sounds so tasty I think I might try it soon!

Oh Squeakachoo, why are you so awesome?! =D

Here are my most wanted items under $10!

  • This travel coffee mug because the only one I had broke! I've been coffee-less during my early classes, and needless to say, I have been struggling to stay awake, hehe X)

  • The Hobbit. I had a copy when I was in the 4th grade and I LOVED it, but I no longer have that copy anymore. I have many happy memories attached to that book and the time I read it, and it would be so lovely to experience that all over again!

  • These drumstick pencils because well, they're pretty darn awesome and I think they would make a FANTASTIC present for my boyfriend, who is a very talented drummer!

  • This adorable bookmark because, well, it's adorable! Belle is also my favorite Disney princess!

Thanks for this fun contest! You're awesome! =D

You want a budget option for a teacup + infuser, nothing tops FORLIFE.

https://www.amazon.com/FORLIFE-Curve-Infuser-ounces-Graphite/dp/B00178RRJG

They have a more rounded cup but you can find a mug for $18-22 if you dont mind getting a non standard color, it fits the infuser perfectly, the infuser is easy to clean and never rusts (have had mine for YEARS, no issues) and also fits other cups

The mugs are huge 12-16 oz getting you two nice 16 oz cups aka two water bottles worth tea which is how i start my day

As for tea, sales are the way to go, check the sale page or wait for a holiday example teavivre had spend $100 get $20 back in gift card plus $5 in rewards essentially spend $100 get $25 back and some of their sales were great as well

u/gambola · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

My affirmation of when I feel loved is when me and the boyf just get all tangled up and lie together, doing our own thing. I'll often fall asleep with my face nuzzled into his armpit while he reads a book, or we'll just have a little nap together or something. He'll do little things like just stroke the back of my neck with his free hand or give me a little peck on the shoulder or whatever. It's just lying there in those little moments, when you can feel it, that's when I feel the most loved up. Or when he lovingly refers to me as 'fuckface' lol :)

I think this is under $10, depending on the exchange rate! I had one and it was amazing but I forgot to wash it up and the plunger went mouldy. I'd be sooooooo grateful for a replacement! this is under $15.

Thanks for the lovely contest! <3

List of Basic Kitchen Equipment

  • I'm really happy with this set of Ikea pots and pans (they're oven-safe, work on my induction stove, and are ridiculously good quality for the price. they've held up admirably to 2 years of abuse, and the non-stick skillet is still looking good:)
  • I added a big stockpot, which serves double-duty as an extra, extra large mixing bowl. also, the lid fits the non-stick frying pan so I can steam spinach :)
  • 2 non-stick baking sheets/cookie trays (oven bacon FTW!)
  • 2 silpat baking sheet liners (essential for keto pizza crust recipes)
  • 2 wire cooling/baking racks that fit inside your cookie trays; use in the oven to keep steak above the drippings and on the counter to cool baked goods
  • 24 silicone muffin cups (just throw them on a cookie sheet and you don't need muffin tins anymore. you can hold each one over the bowl as you ladle stuff into it, so you won't have nearly as many drips. food doesn't stick and they nest to store in a much smaller space than a muffin tin)
  • a set of mixing bowls
  • a couple of casserole dishes/pyrex baking dishes
  • some basic cooking utensils
  • a good whisk for stirring sauces etc
  • tongs (you need to decide whether you prefer the scissors style or the pincer style...)
  • kitchen shears
  • we really love these microwave cups (I just bought more yesterday cause we use them all the time)
  • little pyrex prep bowls (I never had bowls this size and thought they were dumb but they came with a set; turns out I use them constantly. the fact that they're oven-safe just adds to their utility)
  • electric kettle (super fast hot water for bouillon in the morning and a hot water bottle on cold nights)
  • crockpot with a timer (I've got pork shoulder cooking right now!)
  • electric mixer (whipping heavy cream by hand is pretty torturous! and trying to whip egg whites by hand is nearly impossible)
  • blender (I pretty much only use mine for cream of mushroom soup anymore, but it's essential for that recipe)

Shark attack!, one fun mug: Time & Space, Click!, and Awesome. My favorite drink is hot green tea...I love it so much-made at home, made at a tea shop, it's amazing! Tea is always a good idea!

Green tea I love

u/real_parksnrec · 3 pointsr/WildernessBackpacking

This is a really cool setup, very ingenious.

That said, if you're willing to spend another 10 bucks or so, you can get a much better anodized aluminum mug. The anodizing process darkens the aluminum and gives it better nonstick properties, making it much better to cook with than regular aluminum. I've also found that bare aluminum can sometimes give a bad taste to acidic foods, like tomato sauce.

The mug I linked to also has a folding handle and fits over a Nalgene bottle, so it packs really well.

Again, I love your setup. Always happy to see camping gear that anyone can afford!

u/IronOntap · 3 pointsr/AppalachianTrail

During my 700 mike section hike last year I carried the following mug on trail with me:

https://www.amazon.com/ZYLISS-Travel-French-Coffee-Single/dp/B00F9ZTL6U

In the spirit of multi-purpose tools, it not only served as a means of making amazing fresh coffee every day, but also worked as an all around cup in camp. Perhaps a bit heavy compared to the titanium stuff you can get, but the best $10 I spent on a piece of gear. Keep a small ziplock of your favorite coffee in your food bag and enjoy!

u/hazelowl · 2 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

My favorite mugs are Starbucks mugs. Big and such high quality!

Favorite drink... mmm... probably chai these days. Nice and spicy. Although at work lately I've been drinking Lady Grey with a splash of cream. Yum.

This set of mugs is fantastically geeky. I may have to buy them myself...
This owl mug is so cute.
Necessary for the tea lover.

Kitty paw!!
If you like Dr Who
So gorgeous
For feeling fancy
I love hedgehogs

I could spam you with these all night... Tea is always a good idea.

u/domin007 · 1 pointr/tea

If you have a kettle and want an easy to manage work teacup, I'd check out this or this. The Kati's infuser is really easy to clean if you have a small trashcan nearby (just put a grocery bag inside) and although they're a bit pricy, you'll save money by being able to use loose-leaf tea. The Forlife is a bit harder to clean but is still doable.

However if that still doesn't work, Twinnings has a good range of flavored black teas. I also would check out Harney and Sons. A little bit more pricy, but totally worth it. I've had Paris, Florence and a red raspberry tea and all three have been nice.

u/jclim00 · 1 pointr/tea

Most people here refer to resteeping in the same tea session with gongfu brewing which uses a lot of leaf to a low water ratio, gongfu sessions can go anywhere from 8 to 15+ steeps. You can keep leaves to resteep throughout the day with larger teapots though, just remove the infuser and let the leaves air dry. If you're leaving it for the next day, I think some people have some success with refrigerating, I personally just leave it out which is fine as long as it doesn't grow mold. You could also try cold steeping your leftover tea leaves overnight, it's a great way to use up the leaves.

Honestly though, with a teapot that large, unless you're brewing for multiple people, a mug+basket infuser combo might be a better choice for drinking solo. You won't waste as much leaf and you can resteep 2 or 3 times without abusing your bladder :)

u/rlopez8 · 2 pointsr/tea

I have the FORLIFE Infuser Mug and I absolutely love it! The infuser is great (and I think is the same one you'l get in the teapot), the mug keeps heat well and it's cute to boot! Everyone here at work loves my cup :)

Sorry I can't give direct feedback on the teapot in question, but I would recommend the brand for sure and have plans to get one of their teapots myself here in the near future.

u/cupcakegiraffe · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I'd like to enter to win this cool hippo mug, please! Thank you for the contest and I hope that when you get your zoo on gurl, you get it on like Donkey Kong!

u/Gooseberryspoon · 1 pointr/tea

I like forlife infusers which are similar to what you linked, but a bit cheaper and don't come with the accessories (cocktail shaker lid??!?). They have the stand alone infusers as well as ceramic and glass mugs and small teapots in a variety of colors. These type of filters don't catch as much small particles as the mesh, but I find them sturdier and easier to clean.

Mug that I have:

https://www.amazon.com/FORLIFE-Curve-Infuser-ounces-Graphite/dp/B00178RRJG/ref=sr_1_12?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1493584169&sr=1-12&keywords=tea+infuser+for+life

Note, the lid will slide off this mug since it's ceramic on ceramic so if you want something you can walk around with go for one of the models with a metal/silicone lid.

Edit: just saw you like glass.

Olicamp mug/pot $12, 4oz weight, 20oz capacity

BRS 3000T Burner $15, 25g. It really is an amazing little micro stove.

Jetboil Flash LID This lid fits the Olicamp mug/pot perfectly! $6, plus shipping. About 1oz

A 100g canister fits perfectly inside, plus the BRS and a bic. The jetboil lid fits securely and keeps everything together.

Ditch the canteen.. carry your water in 1L and/or 750ml smartwater/lifewater bottles. Seriously. It’s durable, and weighs significantly less.

If you're ok with a cup/infuser set, check this out. I just ordered it the other day and am super impressed with it. It will be replacing this ForLife mug (which is still a nice infuser/mug).

If you want simple western style brewing, which of you are in the Americas or uk is the norm these two items will get you set up right. All you need is tea. especially if you want to get into oolongs, which can be very fussy about temperature, you will find a kettle with temp control a dream come true.

Also if you were in the USA look at Harney and sons. They a great first step, offering a wide variety of low cost samples with free shipping.

I use the provided hot water in our office kitchen. We have two systems -- the water cooler gives water at about 180F and the coffee maker provides plain hot water at a slightly higher temperature (both are filtered). I brew in gaiwan, in a Western-style teapot, or grandpa-style in a mug, depending on what I feel like. I don't find that the slightly-cooler-than-boiling water affects the flavor of black or pu-erh teas, and if I'm brewing a delicate green or white tea, I put the water into a mug before pouring it over the leaves to let it cool slightly.

All this said, I'm a bit of "that eccentric tea lady" at work. I find it endearing and enjoy talking to people who enjoy tea, no matter how they take it. I have a small collection of teaware, including a gaiwan, a portable gongfu set, an English china tea-for-one set, and a glass kyusu and two glass cups.

At my old job, I kept a small electric kettle on my desk, plugged into the power strip with my computer and printer. I would boil it and let it cool off for as long as I needed depending on what kind of tea I was drinking. I was less "eccentric" in that job and drank all my tea out of this mug.

Good morning! I am a coffee shop manager irl so my work day is me rolling out of bed at 4:45am and driving to work in a tired stupor. There I can fuel my soul with espresso before making sure hundreds of other people have awesome mornings. I ❤️ coffee more than life itself.

On my days off we either go out to eat at a local breakfast diner where they have raspberry waffles and an omelette stuffed with hash browns. Sometimes we cook....usually breakfast potato skillet. No matter what...more coffee is involved.

I have a super rad mug collection but I'm on mobile and photos are hard to do :/ but this one https://www.amazon.com/Vandor-18062-Hello-Kitty-Ceramicl/dp/1223069818 is my favorite mug in the whole world. Pink, sturdy, and thanks to its shape holds 18oz but is still normal cup sized!!!!

I use this FORLIFE mug at work.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0017938B6/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1374170929&sr=8-1&pi=SL75

It works well and it is easy to clean. The ceramic lid flips over to hold the metal infuser with the used tea leaves. This is helpful so u don't need to take multiple trips back and forth to the break room/garbage

u/what_the_heil · 3 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

/u/pickyourowndamnname because he's my fiance and I want to get him something nice for his birthday. He always gets me oreos and takes care of me when I'm sick. He also tries to help me whenever I'm cooking or baking and he can make delicious tea. He needs a new mug, specifically this one.

u/paradoxikal · 3 pointsr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I am sorry for your loss. I know how awful that is, and I hope you're able to heal soon.

That being said, I hope this cheers you up, because everytime I imagine an unsuspecting person drinking from it, it makes me smile :)

u/heavyraines17 · 1 pointr/movies

Not a movie (yet) but an Aperture Science mug would fit in nicely with what you have so far!

Pricey link

u/digger_dog · 4 pointsr/reactiongifs

You might enjoy this then, it's a lifesaver!

u/AlbinoWitchHunter · 1 pointr/MealPrepSunday

I bought one similar to this at Wal-Mart for about the same price but it has a screw-on lid, which I like better personally.

u/ModestCamel · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Ok my favorite 2 are probably the tardis mug and the GoT board game. As cool as the game looks, I couldn't let the tardis fall into a black hole of awfulness.

u/awkwardsoul · 4 pointsr/tea

Go for one of these big basket stainless steel infusers. https://www.amazon.com/FORLIFE-Brew-Mug-Extra-Fine-Infuser/dp/B001JPA3Y8/ (though the mug with infuser is close in price https://www.amazon.com/FORLIFE-Brew-Infuser-16-Ounce-Purple/dp/B00FONTSZG)

If you want to attempt to save your gravity infuser, maybe try a denture cleaner, PBW, or oxyclean soak.
There are also glass models which last longer like this https://www.amazon.com/PRESS-TP-200-1000ML-CAPACITY-Yeme/dp/B00654M0AI/

u/tamtheotter · 1 pointr/MealPrepSunday

there are a lot of recipes on here for ramen (I'm sure you can omit the noodles if you like) and if you let it cool I'm sure you can drink it fairly easily without a spoon. https://www.amazon.com/Sistema-Microwave-Cookware-Medium-Ounce/dp/B005D6Y1OM I love these for soup (and cereals!)

u/kammioderin · 1 pointr/tea

Electric kettles are probably a life saver in your situation. Then I would do a single serving style brewing container. The teavana perfect tea maker or an IngenuiTea are good picks and more of a one piece type deal. They also have a fine mesh strainer so only the smallest bits of tea dust get through when you are done brewing.

If you want to brew in the mug or cup you will be drinking out of there are a lot of mugs with infusers out there. I can personally say that I love my ForLife mug and infuser. The only things to watch for when looking for a mug and infuser is the size of the infuser basket and the size of the holes in it. You want your basket to be big enough for your teas to be able to float around a bit and unfurl, but you don't want your holes big enough that the leaves or small particles to float through.

u/DNA_ligase · 3 pointsr/MealPrepSunday

Not the OP but those look like the Sistema soup containers. They sell them on Amazon and also at Bed Bath and Beyond. I think Dollar Tree sells a knock off version, but I've never tried those so I can't vouch for them. I like the Sistema containers; they last nearly 2 years before the seal gives out.

Not quite Christmas, but my sister got me a Tardis mug (like this one ) for our birthday, which was last Saturday. Christmas-wise I didn't get anything too flashy: a beautiful scarf made by my mother, a robe, gloves, a mini/travel umbrella, and a little money from my aunt and uncle.

u/stinkylibrary · 48 pointsr/gaming

You can add the weighted companion cube and the Aperture Science Coffee Mug to that sub. My favorite part is that the Aperture mug makes you look like a scientist drinking coffee. And bitches love scientists.

u/believecmv · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

hi contests are fun! this tardis would be amazing but eating with chopsticks is also cool.

u/qqpugla · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

Go Cops!

This mug is awesome because it changes color when you put your hot beverage in it!

u/FrankiePoops · 2 pointsr/WildernessBackpacking

$5 at Walmart, or my local grocery store (C-Town). $8 on amazon.

Another option that people love is the Imuza. Comes in 10CM and 12CM widths.

u/echodeltabravo · 1 pointr/CampingGear

For a cheap, lightweight cook kit, get the BRS Ultralight stove for $15, the Imusa 10cm aluminum mug for $10 and fashion a lid out of a pie tin or something.

  • Stove weight = 0.95 oz
  • Mug weight = 2.5 oz
  • Full gas canister weight = 7.5 oz
  • Total = 10.95 oz
  • Total cost = $30

This type of system works best for boiling water to hydrate freezer bag meals or Mountain House-type of freeze-dried meals.
u/lmercier · 1 pointr/Coffee

Sounds like you're not in the friend zone with your boss so there's no good way to break it to him, I'm afraid. Coffee is about personal preference and he's expressed his.

If there's a hot water tap on the machine then it might be easy to make your own but if he's the sort that looks down on craft coffee culture then you may want to do it on the down low in one of the those french press mug things like this.

I love this comically oversized ramekin mug because: a). it's giant, and b). it's oven-safe so I can use it for eggs florentine and stuff.

u/pixielady · 1 pointr/santashelpers

Oh man, there's a lot of stuff you can get him that fits the bill.

Maybe the Pac-Man shot glasses, Nun Bowling!, Gloom boardgame (dark humor and very fun), the Man Cave Laws poster, a Doctor Who mug, or a mighty wallet with prints he'd like. I could go on!

u/Mr_wobbles · 38 pointsr/army

It is but don’t waste that money.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B4FY8YO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_QoRKAbBW18T9F

And then some Coleman butane/propane fuel from Walmart for $5

And then a good liter camp cup. I recommend this

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007OJKI2U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kvRKAbZDCD0DN

And then a French press.

You can be selfish:

Get one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Smartcafe-Hot-Cafetiere-Mug-Platinum/dp/B0007MTNJ0

A one-cup filter coffee cup or something similar. They come cheap enough in supermarkets and homeware stores. To use with this you can get coffee grains from Tesco or Aldi/Lidl for very little. They're not great but they're much better than instant coffee. The cup is also insulated so your coffee stays hot.

u/cyan_pop · 1 pointr/EatCheapAndHealthy

I take this ceramic bowl to work

www.amazon.com/CorningWare-French-White-20-Ounce-Mug/dp/B0002KZMCO/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=8-3&keywords=ceramic+bowl+with+lid

They sell it for cheap at kmart . Marshall's also sells cheap ceramic bowls with lids in cuter designs

u/packtips · 5 pointsr/Ultralight

This info is for anyone considering the IMUSA mugs: They make a slightly smaller version that is 10 cm or (.7) quarts or 662 ml. Weight: 71 grams/ 2.5 ounces. IMUSA USA R200-10

My suggestion: Bear can or bear bag. Second suggestion: Haribo sugar free gummy bears. Why carry all that heavy food in your stomach?

u/Large_Eddy · 1 pointr/AppalachianTrail

I have used an alcohol stove for about 6 years and I love it. I use mine with an MSR Titan Kettle but it is about $50. A cheap option would be to use a grease pot. Loads of people swear by them. You can buy one at Walmart too. The Toaks titanium pot is around $30. People also use this mug to cook water in and claim it will boil 2 cups. Here is another grease pot that people use.

You can make a windscreen for it out of lightweight aluminum flashing or heavy duty cooking foil.

u/bananafosterflapjack · 2 pointsr/tea

I keep it simple - I have a cup, a basket infuser, and the cup comes with a lid that I can sit the basket infuser on when it's done steeping. Here's what mine looks like!

https://www.amazon.com/FORLIFE-Curve-Infuser-ounces-Turquoise/dp/B0017938B6/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1496790941&sr=1-1&keywords=forlife+tea+cup

It's work, so I try not to do anything too fancy!

u/tgsgirl · 1 pointr/loseit

I'm not sure if you're after something that keeps the soup warm or that can go in the microwave. But if it's option 2, I like Sistema.

u/DesertTwitch · 1 pointr/Cooking

I have the same problem, but using plastic bowls or microwave safe tupperware works for me. I use something similar to this.
