There's a significant amount of DLC for Super Smash Bros. 6 "collections" even, each having 1-2 unique DLC characters including Mewtwo, Roy, Ryu, etc, along with Mii fighters and new stages.

oh, in that case, its essentially a ROMHack. It definitely wasn't developed with the official tools, on the official DLC release schedule that (some people) bought codes for prior to release in the US. It definitely wasn't developed by the original developers, available on the official nintendo Eshop, that ties in with your official NNID. It's really just one step up from cheat engine. Its certainly not officially sold by Nintendo.

Can you find me a case where someone has actually claimed that? The people who complain about it exponentially outnumber the people who actually do claim that.
