  1. I have a pizza cutter similar to [this one] (https://smile.amazon.com/Pizza-Cutter-Stainless-Integrated-Mozzbi/dp/B01DLHGXA4/ref=sr_1_6?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1496203463&sr=1-6&keywords=pizza+cutter) but the exact brand isn't on here because I bought it from a different site. It is by and far the best I've ever used. I went through quite a few trying to find one that cuts well :)

  2. I keep [this] (https://smile.amazon.com/Kershaw-1660-Onion-Folding-SpeedSafe/dp/B0009VC9Y0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496203582&sr=8-1&keywords=kershaw+onion+leek) with me at all times. It was a gift from a friend many moons ago. We were all amazed that he had bought it on amazon.com because back then we thought amazon only sold books :D

  3. My favorite mobile app is [Pokemon Go!] (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nianticlabs.pokemongo&hl=en)

  4. [This] (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00BJQPX8S/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=IA15C3NOZJXFA&colid=2Z0D7A1SRJBDE) "welcome" mat is amazing.

  5. [This] (http://www.valuecityfurniture.com/product/item/accents/furniture/tv-stands-and-media-centers/grenoble-media-credenza-teal/1639347?utm_medium=cpc&gclid=CjwKEAjwsLTJBRCvibaW9bGLtUESJAC4wKw1q_R1JBCXLoWCo0obyzyn2NledF37RbGhZ7qI0Y-BUxoCMMTw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds) is my favorite piece of furniture. I bought it on super duper black friday clearance and I just love it. It's distressed and holds a lot of crap inside of it. It helps give the appearance of adulthood!

  6. I have a much cheaper version of [this] (https://smile.amazon.com/Eye-Vac-EVPRO-Professional-Touchless-Stationary/dp/B0011G20QY/ref=sr_1_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1496203991&sr=1-1&keywords=electric+dustpan) (also an off brand not bought on amazon) and it's really awesome. It has a setting that senses when you sweep stuff to it and just sucks it up. My room mate is "floored" by it and loves it almost as much as I do!

shrdbrd you lazy bum, heres some cool stuff.

If you want to make life a little less expensive, brush and bathe the pets frequently (I wouldn't advise this with the cat). You can create your own pet odor remover with white vinegar, water and essential oils. Use lavender, lemon, citronella, sage/clary sage, bergamot, cedarwood, lemon eucalyptus, lemongrass, peppermint, geranium, sweet orange, and rosemary. You don't need to use them all, but a mix that pleases your nose and be sure to include peppermint (geranium is great too) you'll get the benefit of getting deterring of fleas, ticks, spiders, other bugs and rodents. Mist the carpet and furniture. You can use this spray to wipe down their kennels too.

These mats are awesome and really do hold the dirt and dust. You'll find a similar product at Costco sometimes and they're worth it. Put them by the front door, dog door, back doors.

For the cats, scoopable litter in a large storage bin. I have a lidded, 30 gallon bin for my two. I cut an entry door on the end from the top/lip down, leaving about 5 inches for litter and replaced the lid. It keeps the dust down. I also put one of those mats and plus the clear, plastic, carpet runner protector at the entry. I fill with litter and it lasts forever. Scoop at least weekly. You don't have to dump the entire box all the time. I use the Scoop Away from Costco.

For the outdoor kennel/dog run or areas that they frequent, you can use the spray to wash out adding a little Dawn dish detergent. Lime for rocky/dirt areas. To remove odors after picking up solids. I don't recommend in grass or planted areas.

Look at this unicorn puke (cotton candy) scented candle!

I don't know about you, but I love decorating my home with fun figurines, like this one

this rug is also pretty cool

same with this tapestry

My BDAY is April 29th!

I think my spirit animal is an owl. Because:

  • Wisdom. I have it. :P
  • I like to think I'm good at reading people, seeing beyond deceit and the masks people wear.
  • Nocturnal? Yes I am
  • Silent, for the most part, which I am.
  • Can be beautiful and terrifying at the same time.
  • They are complex creatures, much like myself.
  • Also I want to fly. I hope I'm an owl in my next life, if that's a thing :P

I'd love to have either this or this for my birthday! Both can be found on my $20+ wishlist. :)

What about an entry/kitchen mat? Like this?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06Y1RRDPQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_1P04Ab25GDPTE

I’m not sure if the surface is really the issue, but it couldn’t hurt to try! I wonder if your dog is just having a hard time listening with the many distractions of obedience class with other dogs - it’s hard to focus when there are so many other fun things to pay attention to! My dog listens perfectly at home, but home is very familiar and quiet and pretty free of distractions. Obedience class, on the other hand, is sooooo distracting with the other dogs that she wants desperately to go play with. We finally found the highest value treat to help her focus on me instead of the distractions (boiled chicken & beef flavored baby food), and while it is still a challenge, I can get her to redirect her attention to me and listen.

u/Siansian010 · 1 pointr/Random_Acts_Of_Amazon

I found two smaller things that you NEED because I noticed you have the sweetest looking doggo! So this festive pillow would be amazing! If you celebrate a different holiday or do not celebrate, then disregard, I apologize!

And every new house needs a welcome mat and this one is so cute!

Also, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Buying a house is such a big deal and I’m so so happy for you! It’s not an easy thing to do and you did it!

I made this so I could visualize it myself. Simple and minimalist, so it seems fairly low maintenance. I like a black painted wood bench (add some pillows for your style), a black metal end table, and simple decor like potted plants and oversized lanterns. I think the curtain helps close in the area and make it look more cozy. I know this style isn't for everyone and may not exactly match your house exterior, but let me know if you like it :)

So essentially...this bathroom will be less functional than a real bathroom (can't do anything "too messy"), require major upkeep if you do ever use it for normal showering (how you planning on dealing with conditioner build-up on many porous surfaces?), and cost a few grand to put in while reducing resale value of the house/requiring replacement before sale because no one else would want to maintain it.

It's an art project. If you want to pursue it for aesthetic value, and if you have the money lying around (between labor and materials...yikes. How are you planning on getting both concrete and rocks up the stairs, since you basically have two floorings? Are you sure the floor doesn't need to be reinforced?)...go for it, express yourself, this is your home and you own it for a reason. Customize. Go nuts. This is pretty doable, and there are even "compromises" you could make to make it more functional.

Look around at options, since you're not the first person to crave a river rock/natural bathroom unfettered by silly things like a shower enclosure. Consider slate bathrooms, concrete or concrete-and-bamboo combos, loose stones for only part of the flooring or in lower-traffic areas, traditional pebble or river rock tiles that you grout in, river rock with epoxy, river rock granite, enclosing the rocks in some way, or even river rock rugs or bath mats you can just haul up and down the stairs to hose off. Also think about other natural finishes like wooden/bamboo bath flooring, which will be less heavy and maybe could evoke a similar ~natural aesthetic~ for a little less money and effort.

Lol, I tried to figure out the same thing. About a year ago, the best I could tell, he was using this stuff, at least the product pictures matched. Not sure if this observation is still accurate. I think I did a Google reverse image lookup to find it.

The first roll I got was awesome. Nice and thick, with the latex that holds it together on only one side. I had great results growing on it.

The second roll, in the exact same packaging, was not good at all. Very thin, stiff, and tightly packed with a ton of latex on both sides. Had worse yields and battled more mold. Was very weird how different the two rolls were.

well, this is more of an outdoor mat, but I have one, and see no reason why or couldn't be used inside as well:

Mats World's Best Outdoor Mat, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RZUPHQ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_sbRvybH4PX0VC

if you shop around, you can find it cheaper, but so far, also in the Midwest, it's been well worth the money

u/NullableThought · 1 pointr/femalelivingspace

Thanks! Hmm, I don't particularly like that floral pattern (pattern is too big and too modern) but it's giving me something to think about. I haven't really considered getting a floral rug but I think it could work. Maybe more of an antique vibe...

Do you think a traditional style rug would fit my room? Like maybe something similar to

About a year ago I purchased this after going through multiple cloth bath mats that got smelly and fell apart in the washer. I was skeptical at first but have really fallen in love with it, as has my gf. To clean it I just put it in the shower and spray it down. It dries fast and looks classy.

  1. Because I like to 'chop' my pizza!

  2. Daze and confuse those buggers!

  3. Did someone say Chimichangas?

I really like all of these things as they are mega cool. I hope you do too
u/DeletedAllMyAccounts · 5 pointsr/PetMice

Try something like this hooked up to one of these. You can get them from any pet store that stocks supplies for keeping reptiles.

You'll also want some auxiliary probe thermometers because you want to put the thermostat probe between the mat and the cage so that you can ensure the probe is touching the mat and won't get moved, but that will only tell you how hot the mat is getting, not how hot the floor of the cage is getting or how the ambient temp/temp inside a hide is. Then you set the temp on the thermostat so that the temp on the probes looks good. I keep mine at 96f and my probe mounted to the ceiling of my mouse's hide stays at a solid 75f-80f.

I'm glad I have some experience keeping reptiles, because otherwise I would have been completely at a loss as to how to keep my baby mouse warm. The heat in my apartment barely works half the time, and it's not uncommon for the temp to dip down to below 60f.

I think teak is a pretty good wood to withstand water over time.

Seems like some people even put it in the showers.

Bought something similar on Amazon they are tough as nails and absorb water etc really well. Live in Chicago so I deal with a ton of snow and slush this time of year and these things have never failed to contain it and absorb it. Another great thing is the sizes. You can get one as small as 2x3 or as big as 12x6 depending on what your needs are.

How about a dirt-scraping welcome mat? Like this:

http://www.amazon.com/Wearwell-Entrance-Scraping-Entrances-Thickness/dp/B004E10U6U/

Though I have one that's a wee bit less heavy-duty than that. It keeps dirt out pretty well.

u/Elistariel · 1 pointr/funny

I found you a semi-matching bath mat to go with it. https://www.amazon.com/Non-Slip-Rectangle-Outdoor-Entrance-Doormat/dp/B00QFFA3EW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1479019846&sr=8-1&keywords=space+cat+bath+mat

eta - so that seems to be a welcome mat. Oh well, now your bathroom can have a welcome mat.

u/HerringLaw · 1 pointr/woodworking

Had to Google "wooden bath mat." Never heard of such a thing. Here's what I found. Technically you could do that with a hand saw, but I wouldn't. Ripping wood by hand is hard labor, and you wouldn't get even results. That kind of project begs for a tablesaw, or at least a circular saw.

Who knows, haha. That's one reason why I wanted to buy this for my home.

u/DaSilence · 11 pointsr/ProtectAndServe

I don't think so.

Given where this pic was posted, I think it was assumed that everyone would recognize that door mat (we've all seen it before), and that the tac team was mugging for the camera with the mat and the warrant.

Then the BCND/AMIFREETOGO crowds showed up and started whining.

It was supposed to be a funny and lightheated photo, similar to this album. But you'll never make the perpetually offended happy. They have to have something to fill their empty lives.
