I shop on Amazon because I get gift cards for work (camgirl). I'll list whatever I find in my order history - Apologies if it includes anything discontinued. I shop on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca as I am Canadian, so I'll include finds from both.

Loves

Bombsheller octopus leggings - They don't carry these on Amazon anymore, but last I checked, they do allow you to pay via Amazon on their website. The size chart was off when I first ordered them so I exchanged them for a size up, and the company was very accomodating. The leggings are comfy and sturdy.

Jellyfish socks - Adorable and well made. Definitely plan to purchase more designs from this seller.

Snowpants - I don't wear these a lot since I'm more the summer outdoorsy type, but they were excellent for walking my ex's dog in the winter and I still occasionally wear them for running errands on foot when it's really cold out.

Burned velvet leggings - I bought these in "blurple" and adore them. They're slightly sheer, so I wear other leggings underneath (these ones from eBay do the trick).

Anna-Kaci search result link - Anna-Kaci is an awesome vendor with well priced attire. I listed the vendor since the specific items I purchased are no longer available.

Thigh high socks - I have found these cheaper on amazon.ca, but this was the first pair I bought. Cute and sturdy! I now have 3 more pairs on their way!

Zebra print scarf - I was impressed by the quality of this one. I did donate it when I was gifted a similar scarf in black/gray as I try not to keep duplicates of non-essentials, but I would still have it otherwise.

Timberland knee high boots - Bought these in black, and they are probably one of my favorite Amazon purchases ever. If I were to ever re-buy these, I'd go a half size up, as I had to get them professionally stretched once they arrived, but holy fuck I love these boots. Waterproof, and fantastic quality. They're my go-to boots and I wear them more than any other piece of footwear I own.

Underbust belt - I'm not huge on the price tag, only because I once bought a nearly identical one on clearance pre-breast-augmentation. I'm glad I was able to buy this one post-op since the old one stopped fitting though. Will buy in more colors if they ever go on sale.

Booties - Pleasantly surprised by the quality! Will definitely consider buying more if I ever want/need them in different colors. Comfier for longer wear than most of my other heels, too.

Suspender Skirt - I love this thing so much, I bought two more on eBay after buying this one in black. This one's definitely better quality than the other two, though. I'd recommend wearing them with a shorts slip since there's not a lot of length to them. I'm actually really sad that they don't ship this to Canada anymore, otherwise I'd buy a couple more colors.

Beechfield beanie - This is definitely more my style when it comes to fit, but isn't as warm as the cable knits. Definitely one of my go-to hats.

Likes

Wet look batwing top - Surprised by the fit/quality for the price. Fabric looks/feels a bit cheap but overall the piece is well made.

Chunky cable knit beanies - I ordered this hat in olive, mustard, and teal. They're comfy, warm, and feel well made. I find them to be a little too bulky for my head, so I'm trying to stretch them out/break them in a bit. Definitely personal preference though, and not a quality issue.

Glitter loafers with spikes - They're gorgeous, but not high quality. I'd put them under "meh" for lifespan, but I did love them up until they started falling apart.

Holo creepers - I really need to wear these more, but my day-to-day fashion is much more casual and I don't party like I used to. Working my way towards wearing them more. The quality is decent but I don't think they'll last forever.

JollyChic search result link - JollyChic is great for cheap-ish stuff. I've bought from them a number of times and rarely been disappointed. Some of their synthetic stuff smells chemically at first (shiny leggings being one) but the smell dissipates after a couple washes. Their customer service is also stellar. Shared the search results since the specific items I ordered are no longer listed.

Iron Fist sweater - Bought in a size small, fits more like a medium. Will be shrinking it.

Waist belt - Great quality for the price (~$13CAD if I recall correctly). Fit is a little stiff, so it can look a little boxy with some outfits as it isn't flexible around curves, but overall still nice.

Meh

Faux fur vest #1 - Not the worst quality, but definitely felt cheaper than a couple other vests I own. Ended up selling it since the size chart was off and I didn't love it enough to exchange it for the right size.

Faux fur vest #2 - Slightly lower quality than #1, but same deal - Size chart was inaccurate, but not worth exchanging so I sold it.

Thermal leggings - Smelled awful at first, but it went away overtime. They are still pretty warm even after washing/wearing them for a couple years now, but they pill, so they're not the most aesthetically pleasing. Great for layering, but would not buy again.

Skull cardigan - It's cute and cozy. I wear it around the house more than out, since I noticed after washing it that the bottom corners started curling up a bit due to shrinkage. Also wish it was a tad bit longer.

Spiked slouch beret - The creases are a little harder than I wanted/expected, so I'm trying to stretch it out/break it in a bit. I have other hats that I like more though, so this one doesn't get a lot of love and might just end up being donated.

Leg warmers - Quality-wise, they should be in the "loves" section, but I bought these back when I was on a wild spree to better prepare myself for winter, and while I do love how warm they are, the patterns/colors just aren't my style.

Digital print tanks - The quality is about what I expected for the material, but I found the fit to be off on most of them (especially in the armpit area). I modified a few for a better fit, but mostly I wear them as slips now. The material is perfect for layering under sweaters that normally "grab" onto cotton camis. They can definitely be found cheaper elsewhere, though.

Fleece lined leggings - I bought these in damask, which I guess is no longer available. They're completely matted on the inside now, and not what I'd call "fleece lined" anymore. Still pretty on the outside, but definitely no good for warmth.

Downright Awful

OURS vendor search results - Seriously, don't buy anything from OURS. Their photos are stolen from other brands and the quality of their clothes are laughably poor. I threw them away rather than donate them because I knew that they would never be rebought, even at thrift store prices. They were the worst. Woooorst.

Bikini - The shittiest shit that ever shitted. Everything about it was just awful.

Black 1461 Dr. Martens,

Simple black tie,

Slightly cropped black slim fitting trousers,

A nice belt (I have a Dickies grafter belt which I think works great, but more high end like LV would work nicely too I'm sure, can't give much about belts however.),

White, or maybe even off-white/cream oxford shirt, both would work nicely with the all black. If you want to be more loud, find one with faint stripes possibly.

These All Saints trousers are gorgeous, although maybe not as formal and too short for the low top shoes; there are many alternatives, and for cheaper too:

This is the belt which I have and has held up great especially for the price:

or pricier alternatives which would possibly work nice are Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, etc.

This Acne shirt will definitely not disappoint both with the fit and quality, and looks absolutely amazing, I'm sure even more in hand:

http://www.acnestudios.com/emea/en/york-pop/21B166-183.html

Finally, this coat once again from Acne would surely compliment the whole outfit, completing it for sure. Gorgeous cut, although probably works better with longer trousers now considering proportions:

Hope I could help guy, good luck finding what you want. 😉

edit: just realised that if this was recommendation for school some of the things will probably be pretty loud, however if it's a formal event/workplace might work well. 😉 my bad

You guys, I’ve been the luckiest thrifter recently. Here’s a roundup of some - but not all - of the things I thrifted in the last 30 days or so:

This pair of Clarks for $6. They’re so cute (unlike your typical old lady Clarks) and comfortable and I loved them so much that I bought a second pair from eBay for $29. I want to wear them every day forever.

Two pairs of Rag & Bone skinny jeans - this one and this one. They were a little pricy for thrift at $14 and $16 each, but Rag & Bone skinnies have been on my wishlist for a while so this really helps a broke girl out. They still feel really stiff and sturdy, like they were never worn or broken in.

These J Brand Maria jeans with a cute ankle zip. The model picture of these makes me laugh because they’re much less cropped and a bit higher waisted on my short legs.

A Calvin Klein fuzzy camel coat ($11) like this. It’s alpaca and wool. Just in time for summer, ha, but it looks really great on so I couldn’t resist.

A Theory blouse that looks exactly like this one only it’s 95% silk and a pale mauve color ($6).

A Barbour L116 Black Microfibre Short Quilted Jacket like this one ($15). I’m tempted to flip it, but I’m a sucker for black basics so I can’t!

These & Other Stories leather loafers, but in black. I couldn’t find a picture of the black ones anywhere online to save my life.

These Calvin Klein black skinny pants ($7). They’re super comfortable!

These Bass black faux leather sneakers ($4).

This Diane Von Furstenberg tank ($3). It’s silk and viscose and has actual goldtone chains woven across the front.

Topshop mid blue Jamie jeans ($8). These have also been on my denim wishlist. They’re super stretchy but in great shape. Also grabbed a pair of Levi’s just like these and some black BDG skinnies like these for $4 each. Yay! I’ve been replacing all my denim recently because I went up a couple sizes and the thrift gods just keep blessing me.

I also randomly stumbled across these never-worn Eileen Fisher sandals for $8 shipped on Mercari so obviously I bought them! I wasn’t sure how I felt about them, but they’ve grown on me and I’m glad I grabbed them.

Hello! Kind of new-ish here. I'll comment occasionally but I don't really know what I'm talking about. I realized that I never fully introduced myself and lately I've been on this sub more because I want to up my style game.

This post the other day about menswear inspiration was AMAZING. Totally the perfect reference for me. I love "menswear-as-womenswear" and noticed that what I already have is leaning in that direction already, so I'd like to go with it more.

I'm very much a comfort-first shopper and I love earth tones and neutrals. I mostly shop at the Gap Inc. brand stores (Banana Card- holla) and Target, but I'm more than ready and willing to branch out.

I'm currently sitting here staring at a pair of Sebago oxfords that have been on my Amazon wishlist for a while. Everyday I almost buy them. Not sure what's holding me back. Anyone know how comfortable these are or anything about the general reputation of this manufacturer?

I'm a mod over at /r/RandomActosofMakeup, so if you're into makeup or want to be and like the whole "random acts" thing, feel free to come join us! Someone just posted her intro after being told about us from here, so thank you to those who spread the RAOM gospel! I marvel at how awesomely this sub is run and totally stole the "comment of the moment" idea for RAoM (sorry!).

Anyway, hello!

I have the easiest time fitting my orthotics into boots, personally. A good pair of ankle boots will take you a long way. I don't know if they work with your aesthetic, but Dr Martens are super orthotic friendly and they make some pretty cool oxfords that would be great with a work outfit. If you don't wear an EU 42, these are also a great option. The volcanic red leather is especially gorgeous. I typically wear a US 11/EU 42 and they ran a smidge to small for me, but I would recommend the brand in general.

Not sure where you are specifically, but I know Clarks, Camper, and Ecco are available in at least some parts of Europe and all have a wide variety of shoes available with removable insoles that may work for you.

u/manondessources · 10 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I'm not sure if this would read as too casual for your workplace, but I love patterned button up shirts and blouses. I'm basically a walking Reductress article at this point. I just bought this gorgeous shirt from Lucy and Yak, H&M has cute stuff in both the men's and women's section, as does Wildfang though they tend to be pricy. It sounds like you also might like edgy/structured layers like a blazer or moto jacket.

For shoes, try a pair of Oxfords or loafers as they tend to be more supportive than ballet flats. I've been wearing this pair and Dr. Martens makes some nice work-appropriate shoes as well.

u/jenniferocious · 3 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Yes, and I love them! I have two pair, though technically one is more of a saddle shoe than a true oxford. I got one pair from zulily and one from ideeli.

I have these and these. The Chelsea Crews run just a smidge too small; they are comfy and fine without socks, but with socks the toe is a tiny bit snug because it is just a bit pointier. The Restricted pair is wonderful and comfy. I do wear an insole in both, but I do that in almost all of my shoes. I love wearing them to dress down dresses and skirts, and with cuffed skinny jeans. I actually prefer them to ballet flats for versatility and comfort.

My advice for online shoe shopping: read reviews. If the site you are shopping at doesn't have reviews, put the name of the shoe you are looking at into google, see if they are available at amazon or somewhere else. I won't buy shoes online if I can't find reviews, unless I am super familiar with the brand already.

u/queendweeb · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

can you do a wedge at all? any of these remix wedges?

also, these anne klein flats come in wide widths if you need that, and I have them and can attest to the fact that they are super comfy-the sole is so squishy.

what about these dr. scholls? my friend swears by them, and they're way cuter in person.

I have another friend that swears by Ecco. What about these loafers?

and you can't go wrong with a cute pair of hi tops if you ask me. :)

also a no brainer, a cute pair of lace up oxfords in a classic style. or maybe a less classic one, if you're like me

u/nixol · 7 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Oh man the purchases.

This from etsy. I don't really know why but I really like it and it actually goes pretty well in my wardrobe. I'll try to take a picture when it gets here.

Then these. Was looking for a good oxford, love the shape and colour of these, plus such a decent price.

Theeese next Do I need to explain why?

These I already have in my sweaty little paws and I'm so stoked on them

It's been a while since I've bought so much in one go.

These shoes don't look like orthopedic shoes, but they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn and I get tons of compliments on them. They feel like supportive sneakers and they're very lightweight and easy to walk in. It's also nice to have shoes that are cute and can be worn to more formal occasions and just look more put together on a daily basis. I got them because my grandmother bought a pair and decided I need them, and she's 75 (but she doesn't have EDS). I now have them in both red and black. I was wearing them all summer, but they're not too practical in the rain.

u/not_enough_sprinkles · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

My oxfords are these from Sebago, they're very comfortable and I highly recommend the brand. I also have these Sebago loafers in the wine color. I've also had good experiences with loafers from Clark's and Nine West, both of which can often be found for a good price on Amazon.

If you wear converse you might also like Keds. They were my replacement for converse because I felt that they looked a little more refined without being too formal. I have them in metallic gold and love them!

I don't recommend the ankle boots that I have; I've worn them for 1.5 winters now and they're shredded, I'm currently looking for a replacement haha.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/minimalism

> I feel like I need some ballet flats that can be formal/casual

Ballet flats will make you look young and will always seem casual (just quoting r/FFA). Look for some beige heels or wedges. Or even a black pair with a color accent so you can wear them with everything. There are heels that are very comfortable! If you still want flats, pick something a little more fun. Also this.

If you get a comfortable enough "formal" shoe, it might be able to double as your work shoe.

If the events you are going too aren't too formal, you might be able to get away with something like this. A nice oxford can work for both parties and work.

u/imjustheretobehere · 3 pointsr/labrats

I have a pair on right now that are very similar to these and I think it would be pretty doable to dress them up with dress pants. I have another pair of shoes that are nice to dress up that looks like these.

The pair I have that look like the first shoes I got from Rack Room (brand is Xappeal), and the second pair I got at Payless (brand American Eagle). I bought them ~5 years ago. I would suggest going to shoe stores and asking a worker if they have anything like that. It might pay off to go to a retail store like JCPenny or Macy's because they'll definitely have some more professional flat shoes too. I hope this helps a little!

u/noanydeviceexists · 4 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

I have a few pairs of Chie Mihara shoes (3 sandals, 2 oxfords, and 2 heels) and I can't say enough good things about them. The quality is stellar, the colors are gorgeous, and the shoes need little to no breaking in. I have a narrow heel and wider forefoot and have found the fit to be comfortable and true to size.

I haven't owned any of my pairs for as long as the other commenters, but every one of them still looks new. You said you were interested in her oxfords, and I should say those are far and away my favorite. Inaugurated my most recent pair on a long trip through France and they were a dream from day one. I wish I had both oxford styles in every color.

Go for it! But be aware, these are your gateway pair. I practically never buy other designers anymore.

u/Hahahahahahai · 1 pointr/supremeclothing

They just released some cool 1461 colorways too if you're interested; not as light blue but still a cool turquoise if you want something wacky.

And weirdly if you wanted the low-key ones, the black and merlot Smiths Supreme model just used classic colorways from the 1461 (with yellow stitching) if you don't mind the slightly chunkier shape you have a close alternative.

Finally, they may be tougher to find but you can find Smiths just like the Supreme ones, but without the yellow stitching

u/AnnieNonmouse · 6 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

(posted this late in yesterday's Simple Questions, re-posting now) I'm not great with links so let me know if it doesn't work:

I got these 'leather' oxfords in brown and black, first time I've ever ordered anything online. I hate wearing work pants but most of the outfits I see paired with oxfords for work include pants. Can anyone give me ideas as to how to style them with pencil, straight, or a-line skirts? Cute but professional socks to wear with them would be a bonus. My style is pretty fluid but I need to look professional for an insurance agency (so more traditionally professional). Thank you!

u/julieannie · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

I have an earlier season of the Vans in Rose Gold and I just loved them. Burgundy is a prime color in my wardrobe and so it worked amazingly well with my outfits plus it was always a flash of fun without jewelry if I wanted to dress down a bit. In the summer I have a similar flash of bling with my Cole Haan shoes in blush and silver. I find those super lightweight and the Vans quite a bit clunkier but in the winter my feet were never cold with my vans and I had a lot of freedom to wear good socks with them or the hidden ones too.

u/femalenerdish · 23 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

What a great question!

I'm still looking, but I'm hoping to find oxfords I like. Not too clunky, in dark green, blue, light grey, or floral.

Something like this, or [this.] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07215TVZ5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_oI03BbGY08D90) But cheaper :)

u/Iophobic · 15 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Those are the Nine West Speakup. I can't say they're the most comfortable flats I own but I like the overall look so I just throw in some insoles and deal haha

My pairs from Dr. Scholls and Corso Como are more comfortable out of the box

u/redparapluie · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

I have the charlie brogue. It looks like they currently have these available, but patent leather can easily get scuffed. Other quality comfort brands to consider are Born and Bass. Looks like you should be able to find something for 100-150(USD).

u/chamomile827 · 3 pointsr/femalefashionadvice

Depends on your feet, but I have Dr. Scholls flats on Amazon on my wish list and it sends me a notification when they go on sale, so I never spend more than $30 on any given pair. They last me a long time.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00BTYTRRS/

I'd never heard of Rothy's until I saw your post, and they look so good! I'm going to keep my eyes on those too :)

u/QuaereVerumm · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

My office is business casual. I used to wear heels every day, but my feet couldn't take it anymore, so now I wear ballet flats or loafers. I really like these Dr. Scholls' flats and these flats. I even have a pair of Crocs that I wear to work! They just look like regular ballet flats.

I get most of my work clothes from Target and Marshall's/Ross/TJ Maxx!

u/lIlIlIlIlIlII · 1 pointr/Sneakers

My shoe size is men US 11. This is the shoe I want. Thank you and happy holidays.

u/sorrynothanks · 1 pointr/femalefashionadvice

I have these oxfords in black and I'd definitely recommend them.

u/klein_small · 2 pointsr/malefashionadvice

It looks just like the mens shoe. Yours just looks a bit different than the website since it has a short toe. The website uses (I think) size UK 8 (US 9) for the photos.

On Amazon.co.uk they advertise the 1461 as unisex: Link
