I separate each variety with 2 bricks. I have the most amazing labels. Some are 10 years old. I print on Avery 5630 Clear easy peel address labels. I stick them to the zinc plates, and I swear, they NEVER come off - it is truly amazing. Here are the markers I use:

We use these tags. Different colors for different kegs - clean, CIP, clean sour kegs, dirty sour kegs etc. You can write on these too - so you could number your kegs if you wanted. We write dates on them. We don't share kegs so we don't have to think too much about it.
