13. EMSCO Group Big City Picker Raised Bed Grow Box – Self Watering and Improved Aeration – Mobile Unit with Casters – Extra Large 48” x 20” Design

    Features:
  • CONVENIENT MOBILE PLANTER – The Big City Picker is the ultimate raised bed gardening system. The unit is mobile and features casters for easy transport and sun tracking that works great in areas with limited space. While the unit is roughly twice the size (48” x 20”) as our popular City Pickers product, it’s still perfect for gardening in limited spaces such as patios or apartments complexes.
  • GROW YOUR FAVORITE FRUITS, VEGETABLES, OR FLOWERS – Grow your favorites, or try something new with a Big City Picker! Tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, herbs, beans, and much more can all be grown wherever there’s sunlight! Just add potting mix, seedlings, and water; each unit includes easy to follow instructions.
  • SELF-WATERING AND IMPROVED AERATION – The self-contained system of the Big City Picker is self-watering. It automatically waters plants by wicking moisture from its water reservoir and has water overflow holes to prevent overwatering. Additionally, plants rest above an aeration screen that enhances the oxygen flow to plant roots and encourages faster growth, which allows you to grow more with less effort.
  • SPACE SAVER – The Big City Picker is perfect for homeowners with limited space who wish to grow plants and vegetables. It is less expensive than large, traditional raised bed gardens and can be used to introduce people to gardening with minimal investment. Even users in urban areas can use a Big City Picker, as you can grow vegetables in small spaces, such as rooftop verandas!
  • WEED PREVENTION – The Big City Picker alleviates weed growth by having its own self-contained soil system. A mulch cover is included to further prevent the development of weeds. Case Cube- 14.96 feet

I made this so I could visualize it myself. Simple and minimalist, so it seems fairly low maintenance. I like a black painted wood bench (add some pillows for your style), a black metal end table, and simple decor like potted plants and oversized lanterns. I think the curtain helps close in the area and make it look more cozy. I know this style isn't for everyone and may not exactly match your house exterior, but let me know if you like it :)

Amazon! I’m quite happy with it. Nothing to put together and a good size. Fairly good price too.

Amazon has some like this, but they aren’t cheap. I believe I searched plant shelves. Good luck!

Sure, here ya go! It’s pretty affordable and has held up all the plants wonderfully!

For the box airflow, do you mean run the exhaust fan at a higher RPM than the intake fan?

I'm thinking about creating a removable panel to connect the rig's exhaust hose to the kitchen vent. That way, I can turn the rig off and throw a cover on it (begrudgingly) when I need to have a "presentable" kitchen. When it's game on and time to exhaust heat, I'll just reattach the hose end-panel to the vent -- maybe with velcro or something.

For the fans, I'm talking plant grow tent fans, not CPU fans. Like this: https://www.amazon.com/Amagabeli-Hydroponics-Ventilation-Bathroom-Basement/dp/B06WGR78YZ/ . I imagine one of those for exhaust will get solid CFM.

The unfinished industrial steampunk idea is good too. I would just need a rusty pirate chest-looking case, LOL.

This dude has a pretty serious 590 Mh/s grow tent setup. I don't have nearly that much space though. I'm doing 4-6 GPU max. https://youtu.be/rQ-k8zl6D1g

Thanks for the tips.

At least this will give you some keywords to look for! :)

If it’s going to have soil idk if you’ll have to water every day,

I’ve seen some raised garden beds that use soil over a res with a plastic ground cover that goes over the soil. You don’t water through the soil though, you water through a pipe that goes down to the res below.

Here’s a link for them on Amazon:

One of my local grow friends Mothers has a few, he says they work well.

I have 2 of the Ufine brand 3 tier plant shelves from Amazon for the balcony that is also full of succulents and plants. The capacity on each shelf is pretty decent and assembly was fairly easy.

Fun fact. You can grow fruits and vegetables in cool shapes by growing them in a mold. Disney does it with pumpkins to make them Mickey Mouse shaped. Here's one that does a cucumber buddha. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FCBF8M9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_rIdBDb6SA5Y9P

Looks like this brand:

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07FNWRWYB/

Edit: Theirs are the bigger size. It looks like some kind of shelf liner was added as well.

u/Nyvix · 2 pointsr/cactus

Oh just some holders I bought on Amazon, I had crocheted holders that looked like pineapples but the leaves were breaking off when it was time to pull them out and soak them. These are much easier getting in and out of.

u/chairoikoguma · 2 pointsr/succulents

It's identical to this but I got it on ebay, and I don't remember the listing. The instructions aren't intuitive, just to let you know. The wood had somewhat discolored from the outside elements (SoCal heat) but it's still pretty sturdy - bought it in February 2018.

u/computercluster · 1 pointr/MephHeads

Such a good solution. I bought these and they work for 5 gal fabric pots https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D9DH4WF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

u/madamepirates · 2 pointsr/succulents

have you looked at the metal/wrought iron kind? I think that vibe in this solarium would be very cool

(I went on an imaginary shopping spree)

I dont know your budget or anything, but maybe youll get some ideas there lol or find out what you dont like

u/letawookieewin7 · 1 pointr/CatAdvice

I have this exact problem. You can hang some floating shelves. I am not sure if your cat would try to climb this, but my girl friend got this thing, and I am considering getting one for myself.

u/poolammm · 5 pointsr/houseplants

I showes him one very similar on amazon and then he designed it and built it from scratch. Here's a similar one on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Wooden-Display-Storage-Outdoor-96x95x25Cm/dp/B076QB2P7N/ref=mp_s_a_1_15?keywords=plant+shelf&qid=1566662094&s=gateway&sr=8-15
