I'm afraid I don't understand. The USB C port is the charging port.

If you just want a "stand" where you can rest multiple controllers to charge, you might be served by the local dollar store in stationary or kitchen doodads. A document organizer or dish dryer might be able to be MacGyver'd to work.

If you wanted a charging station, this may work. It has removable baffles so you can have multiple storage areas - but the controllers would still need to be plugged in by cable.

I don't believe a commercial product similar to the Playstation dock exists, or will exist unless 8bitdo release one themselves. If, however, you were keen to try, I can't imagine it'd be too difficult to build a dock with a 3D printer or just out of wood, and route some USB cables through it with a little Anker dock in the base. Could be an interesting project.

They make a USB dongle that connects their and other controllers. It works extremely well.

8bitdo recently released a new version of the M30 2.4G that comes with a USB receiver: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XPHP57T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_-rUVDbJK68CPT

You can also get the version of the M30 2.4G with Sega Genesis receiver and combine it with a Raphnet adapter: https://www.raphnet-tech.com/products/db9joy_usb_v2/index.php

and

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HB1XFQW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_vAUVDbK3NW9KV

This second option is twice as expensive, but it lets you use your controller on both PC and Sega Genesis.

  • PS1 Classic Edition, Switch, Windows, macOS
  • Android TV box, Raspberry Pi, Retrofreak

    Right from their site.

You likely didn't assign the controller in game controller settings within the control panel from the sound of it..?

And ICYMI the retro receiver only connects 1 controller per actual receiver, to use 2 controllers you need 2.. or you could buy a BT 4.0 dongle that will work with 4 controllers for PC with DS4Windows & call it a day.

This may be overkill, but won't find anything more sturdy and protective!

u/jjdanek · 1 pointr/8bitdo

I tried everything. My PC could detect the controller, but it barely did anything. I'm sending it back and getting the iBuffalo Classic USB Gamepad (https://smile.amazon.com/Buffalo-iBuffalo-Classic-Gamepad-BSGP815GY/dp/B06XWD8QQJ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1518988706&sr=8-1&keywords=ibuffalo)

It's this one. Retro Receiver for the SNES Classic. I downgraded it to 1.10 and it worked. Is this the current firmware for this item?

u/DroppinFnLoads · 2 pointsr/8bitdo

Just buy a USB-A to C converter and use a USB-C cable. That’s what I did.
