Are you taking about wrist watches or a stopwatch you can wear around your neck?

If wrist watches I have some recommendations (I’m into wristwatches myself so sorry if I get a bit too excited). What is your budget?

I like to wear chronograph watches while I’m working directly with clients. That way I can start timing something right from my wrist and stop it with the same ease. All of our RBTs have tablets for data entry but a lot of the time (especially during bx) I find this to be faster.

Anyway depending on what you would like to spend there are a few options.

If you want a digital watch I would recommend any of the Casio G-Shocks. They are rugged, will take a beating and have a stopwatch function, most of them with lap/split time functions. They come in a huge range of both prices and features but they’re all great.

If analogue is your style (mine is) then I have a few recommendations. I was wearing the Timex Expedition Field Chronograph for a while. It’s a great watch for the price (about $40 or so) but it has a brass case and will get dented, as well as having a more scratch prone crystal. Currently I wear a Citizen Avion Chronograph , which is stainless steel and solar powered (so you don’t have to fiddle with a battery change every two years). It’s a bit pricey if you’re not into watches, about $140, and although it has a stainless steel case it’s crystal is not as scratch resistant as more expensive watches will be. I also sometimes wear a Seiko SSC031 which also has a chronograph but is a bit pricey (it’s a dive watch).

Of course you don’t need any of those. A cheap $10 watch or a $5 stopwatch will do the trick. I just like watches.

I have found the APA style manual (pg. 128-150) and Nicol and Pexman's book helpful in designing tables and figures.

Off the top of my head:

  • put the table number and title in the body of the text, and dbl space

  • remove all vertical borders (5.17 in style manual)

  • if you are presenting "rates across conditions", then one of your columns should display conditions (or call this "rates under different criterions")

  • did you provide tasks as a reinforcer? if so, then column two is OK but you might want to consider reducing the text to make it easier to read at-a-glance

  • if possible, try to make each row have the same width height (kinda relates to 5.17 in style manual, with regard to white space)

Edit: See above (though it might be good to balance the widths of the columns too).

My company provides us with iPads equipt with this case and I love it. We only use our tablets for data collection & notes because all of our clients have their own tablets.
I honestly love how it's not extremely thick and the strap is extremely useful as well. No one else in my company uses the strap but I find it useful as I can just swing the tablet to my back when m my client tantrums and I can record data immediately instead of remembering it until i get in reach of my tablet.

Hot Logic Mini - 12V Version - Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074TZKCCV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_N9WFDbV2PEJRP this has been a lifesaver for me! Plug it in to your cigarette lighter before leaving your client’s home. I usually drive 30 mins between clients and it’s warm by the time I get to my next. It allows me to take leftovers
