This charger, with this cable. You can get the single port version, but for the price at the time ($18) I bought the double. The cables are awesome for the price though.

I can run both wifi's and Ethernet w/o the battery perfectly stable. No reboots for the last 6-7 weeks since.

I use two of these if I have to connect to an antenna 4mi away: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XH92RQV/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

One of these to connect to the tower 1.5m away:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BJ61LDY/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Both improve my signal and speeds. Just gotta find that sweet spot for the best signal. It's not always near a window if you mount it indoors.

The exact adapters I have don’t appear to be for sale anyone but there are plenty of similar adapters available. It’s a TS9 to SMA Female adapter. Here is one example https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HG7HBDY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Fp-SAbC06B2HA

The cables I used were MPD Digital LMR400 cables with an SMA Male connector on the modem end and an N-Male connector on the Antenna side. Where you intend to setup your modem and antennas will dictate how long of a cable you will need. I would tend to recommend ordering a length beyond what you think you will need. For reference my cables are 35ft long.

I would recommend trying to find the best Multiband yagis you can get with N-Female plug. These Proxicast yagis work well but their false advertising on their brackets left a bad taste in my mouth.

NETGEAR 4G LTE Modem with Two Gigabit Ethernet Ports - Instant Broadband Connection and Automatic 4G LTE/3G Backup (LB2120) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MQRHQYT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_NA4ZLGRWpzADQ

Got this on Tuesday and it’s working great. Although it’s not its own router (which for me is better cause if the router messes up I just swap it out, not buy a new LTE modem). Speed can go up to 150 mbps and supports all of AT&T’s LTE bands. Using unlimited plus plan and it’s connected to a Netgear router.

Non cable company provided routers are almost always better if you get the right one. Problem is, a good one that supports a gigabit connection isn’t cheap.

There are also other factors to consider, like if you live in an apartment complex with lots of other WiFi signals which could cause interference and slow your speeds.

Here is what I have: it was cheaper about a week ago by like $100

Yes here is link to router I have though honestly you will probably NOT need one this expensive or powerful we run a local plex server and file server so we need our local speeds to be fast plus we get wifi on our entire two acres you should probably get one in the $50-$100 range or if you use below 10 devices you can use the home bases built in wifi: link to router we have: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0167HG1V6/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1500917392&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=asus+5300+wireless+router&dpPl=1&dpID=41W-l7KcX6L&ref=plSrch

First, go to Antenna Search and locate the tower you want to pull from. Then find the contact person for that tower by clicking on it. Email that person explaining your problem, and then you'll have a local expert helping you out.

When I ran in to this issue I got 2 yagi antenna, the proper low loss cabling, the adapters to connect to the antenna and to my hotspot, a mounting pole, and put them at a 45 degree angle pointed right at my tower. Then I set the band priority on the hotspot based on what the tower tech told me was the optimal band coming from that tower.

When you get in to the world trying to optimize your LTE connection, you will probably want to join up with the LTE Hacks group on facebook.

A new SIM will almost always be $5 at a store - the size you'd want for the S8 is a "nano SIM" - Amazon and other places even have adapters to use a nano SIM in a micro SIM slot (what the S4 has), so if you kept both as nano SIMs, an inexpensive SIM adapter could offer some flexibility: https://www.amazon.com/SIM-Card-Adapter-Nano-Micro/dp/B00R25GJJW

SIM-locking is to a carrier, not a line, so you can swap as much as you'd like with any AT&T-locked (or unlocked) device and they'll just work.

The only exception would be MetroPCS who matches the SIM to the device in their system and you have to call if you're going to change to another.

Just a cheap panel antenna from Amazon. I'm currently going through chemo right now so not much climbing on the roof and such is allowed. It didn't do much to increase signal but signal is more consistent. I actually band lock mine to HSPA band 5 because the LTE band 12 is pretty crappy. Waiting for firstnet upgrades to be done and then will look at other options for modem. I know sierra and telit both have new modems that sort band 14 and better CA than what is in the Mofi now.

If you are under 2300 sq feet this should work just fine:

https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Dual-Band-AiMesh-Router-AC1900/dp/B00FB45SI4

Make sure you turn off the wifi on the pace 5268ac and put it in bridge mode.

Also make sure your problem is with the Wifi not the internet connection by connecting your computer to the ethernet port on your pace 5268ac and testing (make sure you turn of the wifi on the computer when you do this).

NETGEAR 4G LTE Modem – Instant Broadband Connection | Works with AT&T and Alternate Carriers (LB1120) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5ASNTE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_jw1BCbEE6EXRM

This should work and you can also plug it into your existing wifi router in order to amplify the signal.

This is why I'm afraid to try it. I could cancel my Comcast home Internet and save $30/month using the SIM in a home cellular modem like this one, but I don't really think AT&T will allow this to continue forever.

My coworker has been doing it for about 2 months without issue, but the question is if it is enough of an problem for AT&T to do anything about.
