Your welcome.

There also smaller remotes that should work like this one AduroSmart ERIA Smart Wireless Dimming Switch Remote https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HJHJWGT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lO21CbXYRXQGE

But that one would not change the colors.
I actually have it just won’t be used with Abode.

Would something like this do the trick? Would it interfere with motion detection?

When you say triggered, do you mean like when someone breaks into your house?

I have it currently setup so that when I get home, the garage door opens (https://www.lowes.com/pd/Iris-Z-Wave-Garage-Door-Controller-Works-with-Iris/50213045) and my interior lights turn on.

To get the lights to work, I have GE Z wave switches (https://www.amazon.com/GE-Wireless-Lighting-Control-12722/dp/B0035YRCR2) and some GE Link LED bulbs (https://www.amazon.com/GE-Wireless-Connected-60-Watt-Equivalent/dp/B00NOL16K0/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1478189524&sr=1-1&keywords=ge+link).

I don't have any Hue products (yet) but I believe they require a hub to allow them to communicate to abode (not sure though)

I prefer using the Irwin Speedbor Max in lieu of old-school spade bits in most cases. They drill faster and cleaner, and clear chips better. IRWIN Tools SPEEDBOR Max Speed Wood Drill Bit Set, 3-Piece (3041003) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000LQ9054/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_aAm.Bb9B64KC8

Not yale, but this one worked perfectly with Abode / Alexa. Picked it up for about $120 open box on Amazon Warehouse.

Since I couldn't find the tech mentioned in the video, I rewatched it and found the things I spotted in the video:

GE Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Plug with 2 USB Ports 28177

Aeotec LED Strip, Z-Wave Plus ZW121-A

Nexia One Touch

Danalock V3 Bluetooth & Z-Wave Smart Lock

BTW, the links are included for informational purposes. There is no guarantee that the products I linked are the same versions shown in the video. Don't buy these and then complain to me that they don't work 😁

None of which appear to be on our wiki (which isn't visible in the reddit redesign as far as I can tell /u/Animum_Rege) or on the abode site's updated compatibility list

Similar to the aumi mini, you can get a simple nightlight and a Hue Candle Bulb. Works great with Abode. Then, you would set up Automations to change the bulb color when the system status changes.

Thanks! Is the DZ15S-1BZ physically identical to the Leviton 5601-2W 15 Amp, 120/277 Volt, Decora Rocker Single-Pole AC Quiet Switch, Residential Grade, Grounding, White ? If I mix these Leviton smart and dumb switches, will they blend well?

Something like this is what I think Abode needs:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073VXZ5JN

But with a new design because this thing is pretty ugly in my opinion. I actually like the iDevices Switch design. I'd actually prefer it be Z-wave instead of abodeRF so it can act as a Z-wave node to extend/improve your Z-wave network.

Wish I saw this thread before buying the status indicator. This thing's going to give me epilepsy!

Thinking this might be worth a try:

I have this one. It also has a built in sensor but I found that it read the humidity as much higher than it actually is (according to my other sensors, at least) and therefore it wanted to run all the time. I now have it plugged into a smart plug which uses an automation triggered by Abode's temperature/light/humidity sensor. I've found this has the dehumidifier run anywhere from 2-5 times a day which uses less electricity than before and still maintains the humidity level I'm looking for. (Sorry for the information overload!)

I'm using the Aeotec Smart Switch 6 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VQISOCG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) without issue. It shows up as a Power Switch Meter in Abode, and can be turned on and off. Energy usage doesn't show up in the Abode UI, though.
