I'm only recently getting into the audiophile world, but I'll give this a shot from what I've discovered. The guys at /r/headphones would love to go into detail.

Lets take a 0-100 scale of audio quality, in which 0 is a person banging on a garbage can and badly humming the tune to a song, and 100 is literally being in the studio with the band recording.

A generic setup like an iphone and the iphone earbuds probably falls somewhere around a 65 on that scale. You can hear the song and make out the words and all, but there's not much intricacy and it has to be pretty loud to hear the different pieces of the music individually. The bass is probably bad and the sound-stage is very small.

Investing in something like THESE, which are occasionally <$100, would move you up to about 80. Its a HUGE jump in quality. You hear things in songs you never knew were there before. Any person with functional ears would easily hear the difference and universally prefer this sound over the cheap earbuds.

Add another $100 for an amp and dac and you're getting into the mid/high 80s on our quality scale. You can hear the music very much the way it sounded in the studio. Unless you're actively listening for differences you aren't likely to ever have a complaint with this type of setup.

Most reasonable people would probably stop in that range just because for a couple hundred bucks you can get a really good sound setup that satisfies the vast majority.

But without question a person with functional ears would be able to notice an improvement between the $200 setup I described and the $2,000 setup that includes headphones like these. If you have discerning ears you may even find the difference to be fairly large, although most people probably wouldn't think its that huge.

And then there's another step even above this, where you could spend >$10,000 on a setup from the truly top of the line. And yes that will sound better, but not 5x better. The higher up the ladder you climb the less pronounced the changes become.

  • Fire TV Stick, which is a lower-cost alternative to the awesome Fire TV. (think Apple TV, but actually good)

  • Raspberry Pi which is a tiny fully-functional/fully-featured ARM computer.

  • Arduino, which is an easy-to-use electronics prototyping platform, great if you're interested in learning how to make your own electronics and whatnot. (you might also want this, this, this, this, and this. Should be less than $40 altogether, though you could also probably find like a starter kit that comes with an arduino, book, and components.)

  • Huion drawing tablet, great for if you want to do digital art. I haven't used this model specifically, but I do have the (bigger/more expensive) Huion 610 Pro, which I love.

  • Amazon Prime student was like $40 IIRC, not sure if that has changed though.

If you've ever owned an Xbox 360 (or have a wireless 360 controller), you can pick up this wireless receiver for only $16.72. Plug it into your computer's USB port and you can use your 360 controller on normal computer games. I use mine to play Nintendo 64, Playstation, and Gamecube emulators I've downloaded. So if I want to play Super Smash Bros or Animal Crossing or whatever, I can just use my xbox controller and download the game free online off of a site like coolrom.com. It's one of my favorite purchases. I've gone back and beaten so many games for purely nostalgic reasons and have tons of hours on it. Loads of fun.

Even if you don't have a controller, you could pick one up at GameStop for like $15.

For some smaller led lights I'd suggest either these, which are a bit bigger than you expect but good quality or these which come highly recommended with almost 3k reviews and are at an excellent price point. On the 12" bar I don't have much experience but I've heard good things about "eyourlife" on amazon which is just a rebranding of the Chinese light bars but they're cheaper

An alternative I was originally looking at purchasing was the Mpow bluetooth headset but ultimately ended up buying the Coulax QY8. I'm happy with the QY8. I got it honestly because they looked really nice and is similar to the design of headphones posted by OP. They are a bit big though, but don't fall off. You need a day to get used to them. Also Canadian Amazon, so shipping shouldn't be a problem.

This looks cool and everything, but even better would be something like this. It just plugs into your existing outlets, and you secure it with a screw.

Make sure it specifically says it has a surge protector built in like this one does. 800-1000 joules should be minimum if you're going to plug in something that cost you hundreds of dollars, like a smartphone or tablet.

I would also recommend this for soups, pasta, etc. I bought it in like 2010, and I still use it virtually every day. Don't know if production quality has gone down since, but it's amazing at keeping stuff hot hours afterwards.

I also have Zojirushi's Mr. Bento. Tbh not the best at keeping stuff hot, but that's just because there are like 4 containers. Still a great way to transport lots of different foods.

I purchased this one last year and my friend purchased it this year. It seems to be unavailable for now but I was going to recommend it. It has been great and most of the negative reviews were people that didn't bother to upgrade firmware or follow instructions on usage. I think I paid like $140. I did not ever get the lens addon package but my friend did.

Here's a real "top rated," spend $3 more and get something with 4.8 stars and over 2k reviews:

Prophet and Tools Beard Oil and Beard Comb Kit! FREE Beard Care Ebook Included - Unscented Leave-in Conditioner, Softener, and Beard Growth - 0% Alcohol, Vegan and Nuts-Free - All Organic Vitamin E https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YKR92IK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_xyGNybGW5FXBR

Here's the same speaker under a different brand name with some actual reviews on it. And yes, it does get good reviews.

I have the little brother to this speaker and it is well built and can put out some volume. However, the sound quality is pretty tinny despite how much people rave about it in the reviews. The Bluetooth range is also pretty poor. It's nice enough though, and I'm not afraid of it getting banged around, both because of the solid rubberized casing, and because it's pretty cheap to replace if I do kill it.

I like to use these. It has every electrolyte. It definitely helps. I also take NAC while drinking to help my liver breakdown the by-product of alcohol which causes hangovers
