> Baccano! - legal way

If you have Netflix and live in the USA, you can still rent the DVDs via Netflix. You can also always check your local libraries; you never know, their anime catalogue may be bigger than you think.

Also, while the USA DVDs/BDs may be out of print, the UK release by Anime Ltd is still a viable option if you're wanting to actually buy the series after all. Someone over on /r/Baccano was asking about the Japanese BDs recently and I ended up pointing them in the direction of Anime Ltd.'s standard Blu-Ray edition, which is priced at £30.

(As you can see on that page, the Collector's Edition is now priced around £230 - I'm lucky to have bought it back before the license expiry happened + caused the prices to skyrocket).

(Also, the French DVDs/BDs are still relatively affordable, but I imagine since you're in the business of English dubs you wouldn't be interested; they have the Japanese and French audio tracks and French subtitles)

Note that the UK releases are region B/2; whenever you buy DVDs/BDs it's worth making sure you won't have a problem with the geolocking in advance.

(And yeah, haha, I guess you could say I'm an 'active person' in the Baccano! fandom...)

I'd prefer to have them all dubbed. There are four Japanese Death Note movies and three of them have dubs. Death Note isn't some obscure property. Funimation should've been able to justify getting Ocean to dub it. All of the dub actors for the returning characters in the new movie are still active in Vancouver, especially Brian Drummond, who'd be the most important to bring back. In a way, it's funny. Funimation started out 2018 by celebrating his work through a much loved cameo in Dragon Ball Super. Now they're ending the year by giving him the cold shoulder.

Even if they couldn't dub the newest movie, I don't understand throwing out the baby with the bath water. The movies they grabbed with existing dubs tell a complete story. You can watch them and be satisfied without checking out Light up the NEW world. By ignoring them, those dubs are now exclusive to the increasingly expensive out-of-print discs (as far as I can tell, Viz never did a BD release of L: Change the WorLd) and pirate websites.

And the same goes for me with a slight difference... First off, I love Tatum as Okabe and I want to hear more of him, but I'm saving that for Steins;Gate 0. It's Trina Nishimura as Kurisu who I've been looking forward to hearing more of. I just love her voice and portrayal of Kurisu. Apparently, this is good news for me since from what little I know, she's more of a lead in this [questionably canon] movie. :) I even bought the [Japanese Blu-ray] (http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/product/B00DUCND22) last year and well, I didn't watch it. :P

Chunibyo season 1 went out of print in less than a year and Sentai has no plans as of now. There's a movie coming out next year, so Sentai will probably print more copies.

Your best bet is to buy season 1 from amazon UK. My friend bought Fate/zero from amazon UK when it was out of print

YOU'RE IN LUCK, FOR THE AMAZINGLY LOW PRICE OF $81.75 YOU CAN BUY IT ON AMAZON

https://www.amazon.com/Re-Starting-Another-Season-Blu-ray/dp/B07BF3V4QZ

Lol, seriously though, last year just part 1 was $49.99 and the pre-order for part 2 was over $50, so just one season with apparently shitty quality on the first part and the second part delayed by months costs over $100.

The anime market is shit, good on you for wanting to obtain it legally, and congratulations if upu have enough disposable income to pay EITHER of those prices for one season and not feel like a chump. I see so many comments praising blu-ray box sets at ridiculous prices...I don't get it.

But yea, good luck with that. The first 12 episodes were on funimation last year until the split with CR, so I'd wager the whole thing might go up on cr after they are sure they've got as many sales at those ridiculous prices as they can manage.

Sounds good. I went ahead and grabbed the app anyway and just denied it permissions for now. Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex is releasing on bluray this month (see Amazon). Any plans to add shows like this? Also, it looks like it puts later dates at the top for the DVD/Bluray list. Plans to make that a toggle?

Looks like a good base so far.

They also released Shangri La with SAVE box art that said “property title goes here” on the spine.

Amazon still has the original cover listed.

Donten - Laughing Under The Clouds: 3-Film Collection Bluray/DVD from Shout Factory/Eleven Arts via Amazon listed with English dub only, is this true?

u/KillerPayback · 2 pointsr/Animedubs
  1. It already started airing since Saturday and will continue coming out weekly.

  2. No, there is no dub. Streamline did the original movies but never the 1971 TV show.

  3. Yes, there is a dub and it is on; TubiTV , MidnightPulp , AsianCrush , & Amazon
