No problems! Glad I can help out in someways! (: If you are thinking of improving the battery life of your Anne Pro 2, then I would recommend to get the battery that I've listed below and not the one that the YouTuber recommend because I've tested it out and it doesn't fit well, so go with this one:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-7V-3000mAh-6040100-Polymer-Lithium-LiPo-Rechargeable-Battery-USA-STOCK/173573851121

Also, keep in mind that the inside of the Anne Pro 2 has these hard plastic ridges, but they can be easily trimmed (Just don't poke a hole into the case, gradually cut the ridges down going sideways until you reach the base of the case). I used a very sharp razor blade for that process. If you don't plan on doing a new case mod, then you will need to do all of this because the original case of the Anne Pro 2 has a dedicated comparment that only fits the small battery inside. But with the battery I provided to you on top, it shouldn't be a difficult internal mod. You only need to do the trimming part. Then, make sure you place this new battery on the most top right (inside) of the original case in-between the middle screw and the right hand screws and then just tape it down. It will be the perfect fit for the new battery. Also, it would be a good idea to put adhesive sticker foams on top of the battery as well because you don't want the PCB to accidentally puncture the battery.

Adhesive sticker foam:

My apologies for the long message. I just want for you to have an easy time if you actually plan to mod your Anne Pro 2 and not struggle like I did when I was a complete beginner. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask! (:

I started with the NPKC Thick PBT Blank dolch set from Amazon here. I loved the look and loved typing on it once I got going writing up a document or Reddit post like this, but when I had to start picking out my various shortcuts for things like quick launching apps and programs (Ctrl+Letter), using various Command short cuts and then trying to use all my FN layer shortcuts I programmed, I found myself staring blankly (pun only slightly intended) at the keyboard trying to count the keys out in my head to remember where they were.

At that point, I just went with the dark gray side printed thick PBT caps from the same company, also from Amazon. Put those on and was ready to go. They are great quality caps and feel awesome on this board, especially with the relatively short travel clicky Kailh Whites. Since I'm on Mac, the combo of blank black modifier keys and dark gray side printed alphanumeric keys is perfection.

The same company also has regular non-dolch blank keys in all the same colors offered as side printed so dolch isn't your thing and you wanted to get weird with it, you definitely could. Doing half blank and half side printed is not the most cost effective option since combined they are $40, but if you can make all of one or all of the other work, it is an easy $20 to spend and they feel significantly better on this keyboard than the stock caps (although I do like the new font on the stock caps).

I do slightly miss the shine through, but in all honesty, it isn't necessary. I never look at the keyboard except for when I'm using all my various shortcuts, and coming from a full size keyboard I have a whole lot of them and the LED glow lights the side printed keys up enough read them even in the dark.

Kailh has the best clicky switches nowadays for sure. You can always buy a switch tester like this one from Amazon. The box Jades and box navy are one of the bests. Did I said I had box royals earlier? Sorry, I meant to say box Navy.
I do enjoy 60% KBs but my perfect KB would be a TKL, or some 65% with Arrow keys. I know I can format it to have arrow keys, but I love me some arrow keys. That being said, I can't imagine using 40% ever, Lol. Always a personal preference.
I would love to try some DSA key caps too, but I just can't justify it right now. I already have way too many key caps than I know what to do with. I'm looking at the Maxkey f22 DSA key set for only $99. But I will have to get a new KB to actually use it.
I'm thinking of buying the CTRL KB from massdrop, but they want $200 for barebones with 6 months wait time. I just can't wait that long. I'm doing my best not to buy it for my sanity.

As the title states, it’s an Anne Pro v1 that I bought when it was current for 60.
It’s got $13 $17 dollar keycaps (price went up a few bucks)
And a kbdfans 5 degree case. ($70 at the time, might be a little more now... there’s more options now though as well. All other colors were out of stock)

I think the case shipped for free so with taxes you’re a buck or two over 150.

This setup today would probably cost in the 170-190 area right now but it’s totally worth if you just want a different look. Good keycaps will run you nearly that much new by themselves! And that’s not to say I wasn’t impressed at the quality of the 13 dollar PBT caps. They exceeded expectations. A little rough around the edges (literally), but you can sand them lightly fairly easily. I did it with one in under a minute, decided I didn’t care that much, and slapped them in.

This’ll be my office keyboard so if it gets spilled on or stolen (not likely, but ya never know) or made unusable somehow... I’m not too worried about it. Cheers!

this anne pro hardshell travel case is pretty awesome, it fits the anne pro perfectly and fits into my medium size backpack well. The best part is that not only does it fit my RK61 keyboard as well, but I can actually fit both of them and zip them up perfectly. I plan on bringing both my 60% keyboards to the r/mk newark nj meetup this weekend in this case.

u/valkyrprimo · 1 pointr/AnnePro

Some people think they're a bit cheesy but I love some nice pudding caps, I put em just on my alpha keys and it looks pretty good, these are the ones i got: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RJ63MPN/ref=twister_B07TV96Q4Z?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Zap Cables! Just put in another purchase for my other keyboard. John is awesome and helped me pick out some sexy, matching cables. Totally worth the price if you like the custom look and feel.

But if you’d like a more budget alternative, the braided Anker cables are really good quality as well. You can find those on Amazon (like this one).

u/Silverjerk · 1 pointr/AnnePro

Sure thing. So I wanted a 90 degree cable since I run my cable to the left side of my desk, under my MacBook Pro stand, rather than straight back, and also prefer the clean look, so this may not work for you, but here’s the exact cable I ordered (it also lacked branding, which many of these cables have, another bonus in my eyes as I like a very clean setup. I can take pics when I get back to the office):

All you really need is a soldering iron (or soldering station) with a temperature control, 63/37 leaded solder with a flux core, and a solder sucker.

I personally have this as my soldering station and it works fine.

The most important thing is to not apply too much heat for too long. If the original solder doesn't melt, don't try and force it. Wait for things to cool off, melt in some fresh solder and try again. Adding fresh solder will help the existing solder melt.

Here is a thread that lists some of the tools that other people use and like. You definitely won't need all (or even most) of these things to replace some switches.

This is a good guide. Watch it before you try anything

For an inexpensive soft shell case, the VISM rangebag works great as well. I use one to carry my Anne Pro to work and it's held up nicely so far.

this is the battery i used. looks like its no longer sold on amazon but hopefully the info can help you find a similarly spec'd one that would work.

u/spelledwithaY · 1 pointr/AnnePro

Hey I have the same caps on my AnnePro! If anyone is curious, I bought them on Amazon >here<. I don't know if these are considered good keycaps or not, but I like them and they feel nice.

u/rthee · 1 pointr/AnnePro

I use this one myself for a soft shell case.

Nice and cheap and has an extra pouch for my cables :)

u/Poop_Wizard · 1 pointr/AnnePro

these are "side-lit" Amazon Link and they're great!

I don't look at the keyboard when I type, though.

black

white

The picture you shared literally look like the caps in the first link.

Edit: could be your lighting throwing me off 🤷🏽‍♂️

u/Fraa · 2 pointsr/AnnePro

I noticed that too. Actually, there are more things that are different to it compared to another Anne Pro 2 a colleague of mine has (and the ones I've seen on the internet). On the box it says "Anne Pro 2 x Sainsonic" and there was an extra key cap for the Escape key that came with it that also says Sainsonic. The backplate is also a little bit different compared to the ones I've seen before. I guess it's an "edition" of some sort?

I bought it on Amazon.com, it feels and looks legit, ObinsKit works fine. So I don't know what's up with that.

Thanks!,

Keycaps are a mix of YMDK Gray Beiges, the extra keycaps that come with the Anne Pro (lower right colored keys) and the default caps for HJKL

The battery usually replaced with 3000mAh, 4000mAh or 5000mAh.

The one I'm using was from a cheap slim power bank from local store and solder the wires to the original battery connector.

Also, just so people know, some Anne Pro 2’s are being shipped with a 700mAh battery instead of the 1900 they’re supposed to come with. Mine did, so luckily I was already swapping it out. I actually discovered it during the swap. I mainly mention because I’ve seen a lot of discussion about people getting different battery life.

I got them off eBay, but if you search keycaps on ebay/Amazon they are usually the cheapest 61 keyset. NPKC Customized 61 ANSI Keyset OEM Profile Thick PBT Keycap set For Cherry MX Switches Mechanical Gaming Keyboard https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B06XWWRRXT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_uFzGAb1BWEWKC

HyperX Double Shot PBT Black Pudding Keycaps

The white ones surrounding them are the default keycaps that come included with the keyboard.

u/Grumpyskills · 1 pointr/AnnePro

For the ones wondering where to get these Click here

u/Anarch0Primitiv · 1 pointr/AnnePro

HyperX doesn't make white pudding keycaps, they make black pudding keycaps and translucent white shine through keycaps but not white keycaps with translucent sides.

I'm almost certain that you are referring to the following hyperx keycaps:

HyperX Double Shot PBT Keycaps - 104 Mechanical Keycap Set - Black & White Pudding - Durable - HyperX Mechanical Keyboard Compatible - OEM Profile - 2 Year Warranty (HXS-KBKC3) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JDVG4RQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yVIQCbKXE8Y3R

I know this because I have been looking for white pudding keycaps for nearly a year or more due to the fact that I personally prefer white or RGB mechanical keyboards and black keycaps with one of them would look stupid. Fortunately ymdk just recently as in a month ago released white pudding keycaps (perhaps due to my many many many emails requesting them to do that over the last year).
