I think the Electro Buy Online band in the attached link is the best light bone/black knockoff yet. I really like the color even though I'm aware it could be the result of an accident or just a bad attempt to copy the original. Depending on the light, the "white" part of the band can look like an off-white or antique white/tan or even a very light gray. You can occasionally see through the white part of the band and see traces of black on the underside of the band, but I love when that happens! It's especially visible where the band attaches to the watch as you can see in the 3rd picture. I've gone swimming with the band a couple times and I swear it looks like a very light gray when it's wet.

I've worn it a lot for the past couple weeks. Everything about the band is fine and what you would expect from a knockoff. It fits my wrist fine, it attaches to watch just fine, it feels secure on my watch and I'm not worried about it falling off, no rust on the pin (hopefully that doesn't happen), and the texture and feel of the band is fine. It's not the same quality as a real Nike band but a knockoff never will be. But, I'm not paying $600 to buy the real light bone band and Apple Watch Nike+ combo on eBay.

I didn't take pictures of the Fantete band or test it or even look at it very thoroughly. I immediately knew I liked the Electro band better. The Fantete band was kind of a solid painted tan color as opposed to looking like a mixture of white and tan. Almost looked like a rough bumpy paint job, but I might have just imagined that 🤷🏻‍♂️. I didn't pay that much attention to it.

TL;DR Version:
I think ElectroBuy makes the best NikeLab light bone/black knockoff on Amazon so far.
The Fantete band was ok and a light tan color, but I already had the ElectroBuy and I liked Electro better.
The Sellers360 band is very bright white and I didn't want that color.
My first StarMoring band was good white/tan mix of color, but the second one was pure shit http://imgur.com/LMebtwG (more details below).

Note about Star Moring: my review below is about the M/L band which was great, but they reduced the price by $6 and started selling a S/M band which fits me better. Got this leather band from Amazon for around $10. Looks great on my Apple Watch, also Space Grey Aluminum.

Been wearing it almost every day for a little over 2 weeks. Fits nice and snug into the watch -- I have no anxiety in the band failing and the watch falling off.

Leather seemed and smelled genuine, and has broken in very well. No tears or malformations in the band. Excellent quality.

I also just got this watch, my first Apple Watch, about a month ago. If you're in the market for Apple Watch accessories, do pick up the Skinomi screen protector pack. This specific brand and screen protector is widely praised throughout this subreddit for its value, quality, ease of installation, and next-to-invisible look. I was skeptical at first because I did not want to ruin the look of my beautiful watch with its classy leather band, but trust me when I say this: you cannot tell there is a screen protector on with that product. If installed correctly, which is easy and foolproof due to its wet install procedure, the protector will shape and smooth itself out and become practically invisible. Feels fine on the finger too. And $7 for a 6-pack? Tremendous value. I don't foresee myself needing to change out the protector for a long time. The Apple Watch is a pricey fashion accessory and utility that is strapped to your wrist and is prone to bump into stuff, even with utmost care. Protect its integrity and resale value with a cheap screen protector.

u/miroben · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I have a similar one to your 2nd example. The Spigen Tough Armor. It includes a built-in screen protector. It's working well so far.

I also considered your first example, but was concerned that it might scratch the watch after sliding it on/off repeatedly.

I don't really like the look of screen protectors as I can usually see the edges and, IMO, they take away from the look of the device and screen quality. I also don't want to have my watch in a case full time. However, I wanted something to protect my watch when working in the yard, on the car, etc. This case was the best I could find to protect both the screen and the watch. It's fairly easy to put on/take off. It looks good enough that I could leave it on for a quick trip in to town if I didn't want to bother taking it off right away.

I could not find many options that included the built in screen protection. I wish I could find something comparable that would not require me to remove the band to install/uninstall .
I would also like to have one that was easy to install/uninstall and covered the digital crown to keep out dust when mowing, etc.

u/huge_wang · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

There's only one so far from a reputable company so I would suggest you bite the bullet and just get it. I got mine yesterday and I'm so glad I did. I tried about 4 different crappy Amazon chinese ones and a couple of different films and they all suck. Installation is a little intimidating but you get two tries for what seems like a almost permanent solution. I ended up with those two tiny dots in the top right that might be from dust but I'm totally happy with it. It looks and feels like it's not going anywhere so that's good for peace of mind.

Whitestone for The Apple Watch

It also comes with a little metal you snap on top that feels solid and should protect from from and side damage to the body if that is something you might run in to.

Current favorites are:

  • Nomad Modern Strap (I already own it in brown and the slate gray version just shipped today)
  • If you want a cheaper leather band (not as wide as those above), you can search for "Mifa" on Amazon. They come in black , brown, and gray and are good for the money. Just got one in black silicone with a layer of brown leather on top that looks nice with the black outlining the brown.
  • Juuk Ligero is my go-to metal band (Cosmic Gray matches the watch almost perfectly)
  • Carterjett's NATO bands (you'll find these on Amazon, and they come in various colors in nylon as well as black and brown leather)
  • Apple's sport bands (I've got three: black, gray, and white)
  • A few knockoff sport bands (silicone) in colors that I like but only work out in, so I'm not willing to spend the cash for the genuine sport bands. You can get these on Amazon or AliExpress.

I own a lot of bands. It's become an addiction. Please send help.

I tried a number of third-party bands from Amazon, and I wasn't really satisfied with any of them until I bought this Mifa Leather Band. I don't know if it's "different" enough for you, but I think it looks pretty snazzy, and it seems to be well-made. However, the band has black connectors (I have a space-gray S4 watch), so it might clash with the gold finish on your watch.

The Covery Leather Band also looks nice, and it'll match your watch's gold finish. I don't have it, so I can't attest to the quality. The Amazon reviews look good, though.

u/PhotonRAndD · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

Yes! Definitely read the User Guide !

Also... my klutzy self recommends you get AppleCare, and then double down and get some kind of protective case. I am using this one and so far (over a month later), it’s working well, looking good, and has been well worth the money.

u/JoeCat3 · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I'm interested in the same, and have been looking at many options for the past weeks. I finally just ordered the Luvvitt adapters that are pretty well recommended (http://amzn.com/B015GMZG82), and a Hadley-Roma 24mm leather strap that I like the looks of and has good feedback: http://amzn.com/B002EEP5WS.

u/therealfarmerjoe · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I ordered this leather band and really love it so far. It looks great, and is very comfortable:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011IH9TEQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also ordered this metal band. It seems very solid. My only gripe is that it does not have micro-adjustments and is a smidge too tight for my particular wrist. Adding in one more link makes it far too loose:

Edit: Looks like Amazon doesn't actually sell the Spigen stand right now. Here it is on Spigen's own website: http://www.spigen.com/products/copy-of-apple-watch-nightstand-s350 But it is definitely NOT worth twenty bucks.

You might be better going with the Moko stand: http://amzn.com/B010LFIXMA

------
I use this as my watchstand at night. http://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Charging-Premium-Compatible-Nightstand/dp/B0109I9W24

Other than buying some bands, there's not really much in the way of accessories needed! Cases just look clunky, most (not all, but most) screen protectors look tacky.

I'm a fan of Clockwork Synergy's bands, and Apple's own sport bands. I have a Space Black stainless steel model, and it looks sharp with the black, white and red sport bands.

Enjoy your new watch!

u/mattdev · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I have two. The Luvvitt adapter that everyone here loves, and this Wearlizer adapter. I definitely prefer the Wearlizer, but I wish it were a better match for the SGS.

u/bagelche · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I've gone for the small and inexpensive as well with the Moko stand and really like it. I appreciate the lack of visible branding. The cable does make a strong bend to fit the exit channel.

u/oldpeopl · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

I don’t use a case but this screen protector has treated me well so far ArmorSuit Apple Watch Series 4 Screen Protector (44mm)(2 Pack) MilitaryShield Full Coverage Screen Protector Compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 (44mm) - HD Clear Anti-Bubble https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HCNHYGW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_yPA4BbZE6V533

It’s a wet application and looks really good when it’s installed correctly. Just don’t rush it

u/MysteryStep · 9 pointsr/AppleWatch

I just picked up the S4 SS 44mm. I work in an industrial setting so I need to have a case on my Apple Watch. These two fit the bill and look pretty good considering. I didn’t wear a case on my Series 0 SS 42mm and it got pretty beat up on the SS. It never got a scratch on the face so I’m not too worried about that but I want to protect the SS from scuffs this time around.

I found this one and although I haven’t had it but a few days, it’s already my favorite band. And for the price, you can’t go wrong. Stitching is nice, and it seems like it will wear with time really well.

u/xultar · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I love this case. No branding. Not too bulky.

I love it on my AW S4 44 SBSS. It keeps me worry free when doing yard work. I also tend to bump my arm into everything.

u/prozaakk · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I’ve had tons of luck buying cheap third party bands on Amazon.

Mkeke makes a leather one I use most often:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B011IH9TEQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_CqRSBbQ4MP9GD

Just ordered a Tirnga Milanese loop band from Amazon. First one I had has last >2 years.

So many cheap options, it’s not the end of the world to try some to see if you like them.

u/Rom2814 · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I’ve used this since November 2016:

Smatree Charging Case for Apple Watch Series 1, Series 2, Series 3, Series 4 (Original Magnetic Charging Cable NOT Included) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019MS45B0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_K5KWBb9Y4P8NH

You have to provide your own cable, but I love that it has a battery - really helpful in hotels with limited outlets. I’ve used it 4 nights in a row to keep my watch changed without plugging it in, then recharged it when I got home.

u/Shifty54 · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I bought this off amazon. It hooks nicely to my keychain and can charge my watch 1 and a half to 2 times on a full charge. It comes with its own charging cable that doubles as a lanyard if you like. I’m very happy with it

I ordered this today. I'll have it installed on Wednesday (when my watch arrives). Mixed reviews on it but I've seen strong opinions about how nice it is. We'll see.

u/michikade · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

For traveling I have a Smatree travel / charging case. Put an OEM short puck cable in it (the 0.3 meter one). It also has, in the section where the puck goes, a short lightning cable, a cube and the micro USB cable to charge the case in: http://imgur.com/9IZXwN9 . It has a d-ring hook on it that I could attach to my bag. The case itself has a 3000mAh battery in it.

Got it on Amazon for $26. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019MS45B0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_EgVByb55D8711

It's a lot bigger than a keychain, but it can charge both my watch and phone at the same time while I'm out. Really convenient too, because I wouldn't have to hold my watch to my keychain or something, I can just zip it up nice and safe.

u/ygTooch · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

I have a case and screen protector on mine. I try to keep mine looking fancy so I can sell them the next year and buy the new one with very little out of pocket. I bought both my case and screen protector on Amazon. I'm happy with both. I don't LOVE the case, but I have whacked this thing on just about everything already, because I bought the big one, despite my small wrists. I am hoping that more stylish cases come out. I also keep AppleCare on my 4, where I didn't keep it on my 3. Something about that extra $70 really pushed me over the edge.

I have two items. One is a portable charging case. It's $30 from Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019MS45B0

I have multiple watches and I like being able to travel with this safe in the case and then using it to charge. It's also quick and easy to throw in the safe.

I also like this charging stand:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0127F1IC4

It's $4, but is much nicer than having a loose cable, or not having the watch stand up.

u/TrapdoorExplorer · 4 pointsr/AppleWatch

Spigen makes a great one thats minimal and secure.

u/david_chi · 2 pointsr/AppleWatch

Mine will usually be ok for a while until i eventually swing my arm and whack something with my watch. Usually on a door or door jamb, the metal pieces on the outer edges has got me several times.

So now im always sporting a screen protector but have never had sensitivity issues at all. Works really well actually. Currently using this particular protector which was a little bit of a pain to learn how to put it on but once i figured it out it’s been probably the best protector I’ve had over the years.

u/anwei40 · 1 pointr/AppleWatch

I've seen the LUVVITT ones, but many reviews note these as slightly darker than AWS. Know of any options that are a (near-) perfect match?

u/mrwcs · 3 pointsr/AppleWatch

You probably don't need a case unless you know you will be really rough on the watch. But, here’s one that I like to use occasionally.

LEO here. I bought a series 1 about a month ago and haven't had any issues. I sometimes bang my watch going into people's houses or any tight spots and it's still holding strong. These are not perfect. They get dirty and scratched easily. And one of my two makes the screen a little less responsive in one corner. But they are easy to remove, affordable, and have a minimal impact on the size/shape of the watch.

I'm pretty sure you couldn't damage the watch with these type of install. I mean the watch is water proof, right?

I was more talking about how the install can be tedious. You have to move slowly to make sure the screen protector ends up in the right position. A slight nudge of a finger at the wrong moment can throw it all off. Ended up messing up my first attempt for this reason.

It's also a pain to make the edges stay put since the film itself isn't curved. The trick that worked for me was to use a hair dryer on the screen protector for a few second after applying it to the face of the watch. Then I wrapped the watch in a microfiber cloth, and applied pressure in the palm of my hand for a few minutes. That did the trick.

Also, these screen protectors need time to set and dry. It looked really rough with micro bubbles and clouding last night after the install, but this morning pretty much all those issue were gone.

I cannot recommend this one enough. I asked the same question on here a few months back as I was struggling with having a screen protector stay on my watch. I've tried others off of Amazon, and multiple Zagg styles. I've been the happiest with this. You do need to be persistent on getting the edges pushed down when you first apply the screen protector, and you need to let it sit undisturbed overnight.

This one here I like it since always that I wear a watch i hit it everywhere

u/SixQuidSquid · 12 pointsr/AppleWatch

I use this as well, in the car. It keeps the watch upright and prevents it from slipping off the charger.

Check out the Julk case. It covers the watch, doesn't look bad at all, and doesn't inhibit use.

I've been using the Spigen dock since I got my S1 and it's been great. It's dirt cheap and enables the desk clock/nightstand mode. Soft touch, rubberized feel and takes up very little space on my nightstand. Both include a little bumper to adjust for the 38mm, as they're setup for the 42mm out of the box. Cheap, simple and they get the job done.

I bought the Moko brand for my wife and she has used it with no issue on her S0 for some time. I think the cable management is a tad cleaner on the Moko. Otherwise it's almost identical to the Spigen.

I got this band to start:

As well as the standard black band that came with it

You could always look at getting a used one from whatever your Craigslist equivalent is.

Otherwise, there are keychain docks like this that might be harder to lose if attached to something important like keys.

You could also check out a portable power bank to charge your phone and watch, but you'd be looking at a bigger price tag.

I own three Apple Watch chargers. One is always plugged up at home and attached to a stand on my bedside table. A second sits at a desk at my girlfriend's house, in case I need to charge there. The third is inside this device and I throw it into my bag when I'm traveling or staying overnight somewhere.

Skinomi edge to edge. It’s a wet instal type and you need to let it dry, preferably overnight. I got it aligned the first time but you get six covers. This is my first watch so I don’t have experience with any others.
