This is a discussion, and criticism is a part of that, however, I went through art school, and work in an artistic career, and a crucial tool in learning how to make "better" art is getting and giving detailed critiques that offer explanations for WHY something is failing or succeeding, instead of just stating that it is good or bad.
So, for instance:
> massive dip in quality.
What do you mean by this? My guess is that you don't exactly mean quality as in it being poorly written, acted, structured, etc, but that you aren't laughing, so something is wrong with the humor. Something about the writing isn't making you laugh.
So, let's try to pin down what it is that you used to like about the show.

As a total aside, if you've never read "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance", it's kind of related to this topic. It takes deep, perhaps overly so, dives into what we mean when we discuss the idea of "quality", and how it relates to all of our experiences, from relationships and love to machines and consumer products.
Quote from it:
> “The test of the machine is the satisfaction it gives you. There isn't any other test. If the machine produces tranquility, it's right. If it disturbs you, it's wrong until either the machine or your mind is changed.”
No, that's definitely good thinking. I myself just bought a copy of The Essential Bartender's Guide on recommendation from here:
http://drinks.seriouseats.com/2011/04/cocktail-101-five-essential-cocktail-books-best-bartending-books.html
I've only read a bit so far, but it seems great. It's probably enough for me, but if I get another, I think it'll be Mr. Boston. Based on the sample pages on Amazon, it seems like every recipe (about 1500 of them in the latest edition) has some accompanying text with historical background and common modifications.
You win the thread. Jeeves and Wooster is the best reading anyone will ever do.
Also, it was a BBC series starring Hugh Laurie (House) and Stephen Fry (if you don't know who Stephen Fry is, I'm sorry for you) - maybe the greatest TV series ever.
/I like P.G. Wodehouse a lot, if that wasn't clear.
Thanks! It's actually a rubber Superman wig, I think it worked super well for him though!
My mom's toaster has one. Amazon seems to sell one similar to it:
http://www.amazon.com/KitchenAid-KMT222OB-2-Slice-Toaster-High-Lift/dp/B003TSTOXO
It's as useful as you might think. The only problem with that toaster is the super loud beeping noise that it makes. Which isn't too bad if you throw some bread in and go into another room... But it can sound like a truck is backing up outside.
Have you checked the rules or sidebar? We have links to a variety of different stores, like vudu, xbox, amazon, itunes, etc. Surely one of them would be available in Aus, right?
After Season 2 Episode 1, I couldn't believe that the age of consent in Germany is 14. However, I was too lazy to research it. In this book, the author confirms that not only is Anke correct, but Italy and Hungary also share that fact.
It's a fascinating, gut-wrenching read.
These are the best googles I've tracked down so far: http://amzn.to/rESGqK Anyone find anything better?
FIND THE TRUE PATH!!!>!>!>! http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00475B0G2/?tag=dealswoot-20
How to Archer is a fun read! I read it entirely in H.Jon's voice as well.
I have a decent idea for a the swan. You could use a cheap pink flamingo lawn ornament as the structure of the swan, then you just need to attach the tin foil to it, somehow.
For example, one of the swans from this set of two, for 12 bucks on Amazon is pretty much the exact shape you want. Compare with this sceen. And as abonus, it will keep it's shape more reliably.
Also, will you take pics to show us the finished product?
edits: fixing links
I agree with the comment below, if it's hot enough to melt the plastic, it's too hot to gently poach eggs anyway. But, if you're really concerned, you can also buy silicone egg poachers.
The show is filled with stuff like that. After reading an article a year or so ago about their process I realized that most of what we see on screen is rendered 3D models, many of them of actual commercial products. The article was about the cars used in the show but...
It's easy to see in scenes where they have some kind of electronic equipment (on board the pirate ship in Heart of Archness, in the surveillance room in Pocket Listing come to mind though they have shown up dozens of times) it's always the exact same stack of equipment that includes a Rotel RSX-105x receiver and NAD C3x2 amplifier. Incidentally neither of which would be of any use in the application where they appear but anyway.
Malory has an Eames chair at her desk. And I so, so want those two green chairs in front of her desk but can't figure out what they are. Also the sideboard next to her door.
BTW that Barcelona chair is one of the most ripped-off furniture designs out there.
Its to promote her new book. She did a piece I heard on NPR this afternoon.
Edit: Found it if anyone is interested.
While this would be awesome, I'm still waiting for him to do an audio book reading of How To Archer
Was it this book by any chance? It makes for enjoyable bathroom reading.
>So where is it ok to promote piracy, then? On something that you didn't personally work on, therefore it doesn't affect you (ignoring the argument of just what affect piracy actually has)? That's bollocks.
this is an Ad Hominem argument. My stance on when piracy is acceptable isn't in question. The issue at hand is about if you are or aren't promoting piracy of the show, which is against the rules of this sub.
>Not really. I watch Archer, legally, via my Netflix subscription that I personally pay for and don't give out to anyone. Extras aren't available, some crazy how, through Netflix and I'm not going to buy the DVD/Blu-Ray
You kind of asked and answered your own question there. DVD Extras are DVD Extras to promote physical sales. While you may not feel like "Cooking with Archer" merits buying the Discs, we didn't either. that's why there are also a hand full of other special features including Archer's Gator 2 Trailer, a snip-it of Archer recording his audio book, and video of the 2012 Comic-con Panel.
Also "Not really" is an ineffectual dismissal and not a counter-point.
>I will say, if someone doesn't actually know how to search TPB for media and actually went because of my post then they're literally retarded.
This is a total Straw man argument. It doesn't matter if you think it you that someone who does what you suggested is "retarded". It matters that you were suggesting it in the first place.
>Anyone who pirates knows how to find stuff.
"boys will be boys" is not an acceptable excuse. At some point a person must be held responsible for their actions.
>I get your sentiment, but I'm not coming on board. Sorry, mate. But for the record, I have bought the DVDs as gifts for people, so does that technically absolve me?
You'll get no absolution from me, it doesn't really seem like you need or want it. You're going to stand your ground and stick to your own rational. personally, I still think you broke the one of the only two pretty straight forward rules here on this subreddit:
>Piracy discussion or linking to illegal streaming or download sites will get you banned.
If you'd like to know how to make Eggs Woodhouse, you should consider buying "How to Archer"
I think you might need this: (Amazon link to perfect outfit). (Image for those who don't want to click)
A bunch of these are in the public domain. Here are the ones I found for free on Kindle:
Bartleby, The Scrivener
Leaves of Grass
The Richard Hannay Collection (Greenmantle is Book 2)
Etiquette
Roads of Destiny
Selected Sermons of Jonathan Edwards (includes Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God)
The Island of Doctor Moreau
The Tragical History of Doctor Faustus (this wasn't in the list, but I saw it when searching for a mirror to the list /u/YoSoyUnPayaso posted)
If anyone knows of additional books from Archer that are free on Kindle, let me know and I'll add them to the list!
What about something like this?
Searching amazon I found blonde 50s wigs with a bouffant or beehive will kind of give you the shape you need in her hair

And with those two things, and a trip to Walmart to find some beige skirt and peach or pink top you have
Your look
You should see if you can't get the barcode to scan as something. Maybe the How to Archer book or something like that.

Piracy is at the very least kinda rude to the makers of the show that post here, so this is all you will get.
If you have enough people/disposable income, you could get all the alcohol(or closest approximation) that archer has drank over the series run, and make all the drinks he's made, or if you wannna go real nuts grab his book How to archer and use all of the drink recipes found within, but I have no idea how many that would entail as I only just learned his book was a real thing. Also make it a tactleneck occasion.
