Sorry for not directly addressing your question - but a few years ago I was thinking about doing this. I ended up getting stuck on finding my preferred translation, so that might be a key starting place.... NIV, KJ, NKJ, NSB... etc... If these letters mean nothing to you, just get a look at her most used Bible... And then there’s the font size issue... (I hope I’m not complicating things more for you. These were just things I considered.) Most of these types of Bibles were not large print I think, which may or may not matter. Just thought I’d mention it.

I’d suggest going to Amazon and looking at reviews. People will post pictures of their Bible art and so you can get a sense of the paper quality while also considering what people say here.

I think these two are the most popular. I actually bought both, and ended up giving them as gifts as they weren’t what I wanted. And then I just ended up realizing that it was too much pressure for me.

I hope you find something! It’s a wonderful, thoughtful gift idea.

Beautiful Word

This one has pre-printed verses that can be colored and then blank margins where one can create their own.

Journaling Bible
I think this one is more for note-taking, not necessarily art work. Cream pages.
Thin paper, ruled.
