Ah, that's different then. I'm very happy with my ATH-M50x's, but I'm also more focused on overall audio, since I'm listening to music all the time.

I can tell you the AD-700x is often recommended for gaming, as it's comfortable and has a good soundstage for gaming purposes. I have no personal experience with it though.

The fans appear to be the same size, I really didn't look closely. The fan you found definitely looks easier to mount onto the back of a cabinet the only issue i see is the way you power the fan is usb. If you have a free usb port on each system/available in each cabinet then that could work. If you want to rig up something using one of the usb hubs I linked below with a few usb extension cords that can work. Another option is to buy a surge protector or outlet plug in that comes with a usb port to plug in your fan.

Masters of Doom. Tells the story of John Carmack and John Romero. Touches games like Commander Keen, Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake, Daikatana and Deus Ex.

It's not the best written book I read, but certainly one of the ones I enjoyed the most.

I read it a few months back and if you have questions about content, lenght or other stuff, feel free to ask.

I agree with /u/ddcno1, used is your best case, on eBay or local marketplaces. The bare minimum new laptop I'd recommend for light gaming would be the Acer Aspire E-15 as the MX150 is really the bare minimum for gaming but might be adequate if you're playing games like Overwatch, Fortnight, Rocket League, or CSGO.

This one is considerably smaller than the standard xbone controller and works amazing. Best 3rd party controller i ever bought. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01J36HGC6/ref=zg_bs_6469279011_16?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=4T7FJPHKTKR4TE4FP6JX

I've used 360 controllers without issue. I set up a PS4 controller for my friend yesterday and that also worked without issue. You'll be fine with either one, though the PS4 controller needed DS4Windows running to make it work properly. The 360 will just work with windows.

The best solution, however, is to buy a Super Smash Bros. Gamecube Adapter and a Gamecube controller.

That's what I could find. How recent is your TV? I recently purchased an LG TV (not a "new for 2013" mind you) that still had the required inputs. Otherwise, most people would like to get rid of their aging televisions, so you could probably find a tube TV for cheap. Best of luck, in any case!

The static was probably due to the usb to audio converter thing.

I would recommend the hyper x cloud 2(recent sales), since it has exactly what you want, it has surround sound via usb if you want, and a 3.5 mm jack as well if you want to use a dac if you still have those problems, also its pretty much the best sounding headset for under 100 bucks.

I have a pair of sennheiser game zeros which I really like. Some people would recommend these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0126HISOO?ref_=gbps_img_s-3_0842_6756412c&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=2338600842&pf_rd_s=slot-3&pf_rd_t=701&pf_rd_i=gb_main&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0Q9NCW37G85SM285BM1J&pldnSite=1. Then you could just get a clip on mic or something, the clip on mics can be really good and you could get one for like 15-30 dollars.

I really like the logitech g930 and have been using mine since 2010. There's a wired version, the g35, that seems to be nearly the same price right now on amazon because of some sale. Very comfortable but a bit big. The earphone part goes completely around my ear so it's never pushing it down. The wireless battery is usually 10-12 hours and it comes with a little station for charging so if you keep it close you can just plug it in when it gives you a little beep warning. Microphone works great. The only problem I have had is due to age the stuff that covers the foam around the ears is wearing away and leaves behind a black residue. I scraped all the stuff away but I'm pretty mean to this headset after nearly 3 years of use it's still working. When this one finally goes, I have every intention on replacing it with another g930.

Thanks for pointing that out. I ended up getting this instead as it was super cheap and works for most of what I need.

However, I solved my issue with the audio.

I have one of these to record my gameplay. It has an audio out so I plugged my PC speakers into that. I tried, and I get audio from all of the sources this way.

I just got the splitter to make it so I don't have to reach behind my monitor to switch signals.

Xbox 360 controllers of all sorts come with what's called a "breakaway cable" that will purposely disconnect when yanked on, since actual USB connections are so firm; MS doesn't want you yanking your console off the entertainment stand.

You should be able to find something like this without too much difficulty! (Or get the original seller to send you the part of the stick's cable he forgot to include.)

Black and White?

Jurassic Park Chaos Island (Not sure what's up with the Metro 2033 logo there).

DinoPark Tycoon

I'm not sure about Petz but you can search Amazon and see if anything that comes up matches what you're looking for. Amazon is a decent spot to search for older games because you get the websites and people who are selling used copies through Amazon as well.

I've been using an Asus VG248QE, its a 1080p 144Hz monitor. 144Hz is like butter, I love it. http://www.amazon.com/Asus-VG248QE-24-inch-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00B2HH7G0

u/TheRealLHOswald · 3 pointsr/AskGames

Why get those for that price when you can get THIS INSTEAD

Edit: and the system I linked will stomp the shit out of skyrim special edition at 1080p

Thank you for the feedback! As far as I know, the Destiny Collection will also include The Rise of Iron DLC bundled in,(https://www.amazon.com/Destiny-Collection-PlayStation-4-Standard/dp/B01K63R7HY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474046056&sr=8-1&keywords=destiny+collection+ps4) so I won't have to pay $90, only $60. And I really enjoy RPGs so this may be the move.

Also what I just thougt about: you could get a capture card/stick like this one and just play it back via your PC. Pro: you can also record your gaming sessions. Con: your PC has to be on to play some N64.
