Obviously Kong was where we started. We moved to the kibble balls, the balls that dispense kibble if rolled a certain way. We recently went away from kibble and moved to raw so we’ve been putting a few small training treats in the kibble ball. The one we have is cylinder shaped, rather than ball shaped
That turned dinner time into a job.

We’ve since started buying random puzzles on Amazon. Here’s a few we like. You do have to monitor them to make sure they don’t brute force their way through the puzzle.

I really like the methods used in this book http://www.amazon.com/Art-Raising-Puppy-Revised-Skete-ebook/dp/B0047Y0FC8/ref=sr_1_1 and we've used this technique with several dogs over the years, always with very positive results. As everyone else said, aussies must have a job and get a lot of activity! If you don't give them something to do, they will find something to do, usually something you'll wish they hadn't done. Which leads me to...

Warning: Their teething phase is more destructive than you can even imagine. We've had them eat entire thorny rose bushes, a small tree, an entire sprinkler system, outdoor furniture, a dog house... each of these took only a few hours of their time! This was with many better options, like bones and chew toys, available. This wasn't all one dog, we've had 4 over the years.

Start your training by leaving a nice, round, soft leash on your puppy ALL THE TIME. An example is below:

https://smile.amazon.com/Dogline-Padded-Comfort-Microfiber-Round/dp/B012TOGIXC/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1481113977&sr=8-8&keywords=microfiber+puppy+leash

With a leash constantly trailing your puppy, you can fairly easily grab the leash when your puppy is doing things you don't want, like nipping other animals. Whenever your puppy does that, you pull on the leash to get him away from the other animal, and make a noise like "No!" or other sound that makes him pay attention. Watch some videos of professional dog trainers and try to make the sounds they make when getting a puppy's attention.

I left the leash on my dog for at least a month or more -- inside and outside of the house.

Somebody else mentioned treat balls, here's the one we have. I think my dog like the rubbery texture of it, and can pick it up when she wants to.

JW Pet Company GripSoft Double Sided Comb Dog Comb https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0006349YY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_mnHlDb0DT28G3

This is the exact comb I use. I do one comb through with the wider teeth, then a comb through with the thinner tooth side.

I've used just a slicker brush before which worked. Mylo's coat isn't very thick though

Ooh do you have a link for this? My Google search is only bringing up power tools!

Ive been using this shampoo

I don’t wash her more than once a week. Usually on Saturdays, if she gets dirty in between baths I will do either a rinse or use a puppy wipe.

Furminator or any other brushes that actually cut the undercoat are terrible for aussies or any other dog with an undercoat. It often causes the topcoat to grow back weirdly which will result in undercoat burn.

We use a rake such as: https://www.amazon.com/rake-deshedding-dematting-brush-comb/dp/B01M14GWS2 It works great and will pull out loose undercoat. You should use it more regularly when the pup is blowing coat.
