It's this one from Amazon! It's pretty good. The right side won't lay quite flat but that's fine with me. I'm not sure it the most 100% optimal if you are more of a g a m e r than me, but I've never run into any issues playing Ana and zenyatta in overwatch so it's perfectly fine. It's also firm enough to write on. The brown color is really pretty. I play to put it on a white desk once my mom and I move and get some more money.

The size is fantastic! It gives you all of the room you need, even if you have full size keyboard. I play with my mouse sensitivity really low and I don't run out of room. I have 15 inches of room at the minimum. You can always move your keyboard over if you need more room, but I've never had to do it.

Decent build, but upgrade your case!

This is a great choice for $31.

Decent construction, easy to build in, just great in general.

You will probably have to drill your own standoffs and drill out different HDD bays to get it to fit.

It's not that hard, though. I crammed a Dell GX270 in there with the PSU in front and an EVGA 6200 and I drilled out all the HDD bays and mounted my SSD on the roof with double stick tape and my storage drive on the side.

Took me about 3 hours to get everything in there and the cable management perfect.

A bit of a budget setup, but I am finally extremely happy with it. PC running R7 370 and 1090T. Still handles most games fine on med-high, but hopefully upgrading in about a year.

After the picture was taken I moved the mount about 8 inches to the left. There is a bracket in the middle of my desk that prevents it from being perfectly centered. Any suggestions for what to do next? Mouse upgrade is probably most practical - I've been using a $20 'gaming' mouse for about a year.

Monitor - Found out after I got it that if you keep an eye out it occasionally drops to just over $200.

Thanks pal,
This picture is from a while ago, I currently use a Corsair K70, but I believe this is the board I had when I took this picture. Its a super budget board, but I loved it. Quality is superb for the price.

Is there any benefit? Um, I mean I got it cause it’s clean & minimal. Never really used the number pad & other options for games (mostly FPS) so didn’t need that. Nice & compact. OH! & I usually angle my keyboard when playing FPS games, (habit) so I guess it makes it easier? Haha

I went with MX BLUES! & I got custom WASD grips for familiarity, so that’s why they are a bit more darker ‘grey-er’ in the photo, cheers!

u/Belsibeth · 1 pointr/AverageBattlestations

If you're talking about the red chair, they still make them but only in specific colours now (yellow/white and orange/black). They don't seem to make the red one anymore (at least that I was able to see).

The chair was really comfortable! I used it basically every day for 3 years, but it ended up with a bit of a lean since I lean quite heavily to one side in my chair. After a while it caused it to be kinda squeaky. Other than that, it was awesome! >w<)/

I originally bought it because it was kinda cute and was well priced. As Tazay mentioned, I've moved onto the Raynor Gaming Chair (Staples Canada Link). It's a bit harder and more expensive, however it feels a heck of a lot sturdier!

u/bigylittle · 1 pointr/AverageBattlestations

Thanks! Yeah I figured lol.

I got this from Amazon. I was really iffy because it was so cheap compared to other monitor mounts but it's super sturdy and really happy with it.

I did get some strips of MDF and got it sandwiched between the clamps and my desk to distribute the pressure. I read about nightmare stories of the mount punching through the desk.

u/CosmonautJizzRocket · 1 pointr/AverageBattlestations

Honestly, it looks nice either way. If you can't find a way to manage the cables, i'd recommend getting something Like this. You can just get the wires together and tuck them in. It looks super nice.

u/OneMadBubble · 2 pointsr/AverageBattlestations

Great! I would suggest that you get either a gas spring monitor arm or a Vonhaus arm. I have tried many arms and had issues with almost all of them.

I have 2 of these arms
and one of these on my desk and they are fantastic, i tried about 4 other arms and they were all returned quickly for various reasons. Please do yourself a favour and avoid saving a few quid on the other stands like I tried.

u/ralph-ey · 1 pointr/AverageBattlestations

get something like this and a couple of these for the controllers and it becomes a really awesome setup. Well, it's already awesome, just needs some tidying up.

This one uses Outemu Blues, which are equivalent to Cherry MX Blues, but their technically a "rip off". Some people actually prefer them, because I'm pretty sure there a little smoother and have more of a bump.

This one has genuine Cherry MX Blues, but its more expensive.

(Unintentional notes) The white could actually complement your setup, and the %65-%75 could allow for more stuff on the desk.

I bet with a mechanical keyboard you could easily make it into /r/battlestations

Hmm. Personally I'm a fan of Architect Desk Lamps, but ultimately I'd just make sure to go with a color that matches your desk/peripherals. Since everything is a dark brown/black I'd stick to that color lamp. Silver/grey might look good since you have a white wall.

I think this is my personal favorite:

Maybe consider a monitor mount (example) and a headphone hook (example) and you might find yourself with some more space to work with. Looks great, though. Pretty cool that you're so close to that window for some fresh air.

[Redragon K552 Kumara] (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Redragon-Backlit-Mechanical-Keyboard-English/dp/B016MAK38U?th=1)

A TKL board that comes with Outemu Blue Switches (which sound super clicky and loud on this board). The switches themselves are removable.
The red back-lighting is also really nice, but can only be adjusted for brightness, though there is an RGB model with more lighting modes.

u/DSOxES · 2 pointsr/AverageBattlestations

It’s not the exact one, but this one is extremely similar, and I have it and love itTribal-signs 55inch desk

u/gyar6178 · 1 pointr/AverageBattlestations

Drill a hole in your desk under your keyboard and route your mouse and keyboard wire under your desk

Ditch the Cheap led remote and get one of these ,way more colors, adjustable brightness, timers for turning on and off, google home and Amazon Alexa compatible

Maybe a slightly larger monitor or a multi monitor setup

Switch the LED color to something more neutral or form some sort of color scheme

Get a lamp with a good LED bulb

u/WhoisE · 2 pointsr/AverageBattlestations

Thanks! The monitor mount is separate from the desk.

The monitor mount is this one from amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00E43JYVU

Originally I had it set up with the base on the stand, but it was so big and obstructed my mousepad. I play CS:GO at 400 DPI, so I need over a foot of mouse movement. (This is how it looked on my old desk)

So when I bought a new desk, I drilled a hole in the back center and just mounted the stand to give me more space.

Thought the same thing about the PC light so I just added the orange as a contrast hoping it would contrast a bit with the blue.

This is what I used for dual 23.4'' screens, it's very sturdy but takes up little desk space.
