from BC here - 7 month twins. We got two http://www.toysrus.ca/product/index.jsp?productId=150543336 recently after discussing with our other parent friends what they are using for their little ones

they were on sale when we got them for 279 at babies r us but they are also on amazon.ca https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07CL1HW3Y

anyway, we got these because they will support taller babies longer, they are wicked easy to install and they are super smooth to adjust to fit or recline etc. and 2 of these fit nicely in the back seats of or 2003 subaru outback station wagon.

If you’re not picky about colour and designs I found the brands TILLYOU and American Baby on Amazon to the be the best bang for your buck. They each sell in packs of two for less than $30. I had four cotton sheets for summer, and four flannel sheets for winter. If you keep up with laundry two is probably enough though.

I use Utopia mattress protector, and these come in packs of 2 as well. They take a small bit of jiggling to get seated on the mattress properly, but otherwise are great!

Also check out Winners or Marshall’s (or the like) for discounted/clearance items. That’s where I got all my wash cloths!

I got this Motorola one and absolutely love it. It says colour screen but it is black and white when it's dark in the room. But I find the image quality very good.

I've used this from the get-go
Burt's Bees Baby Bee 100% Natural Multipurpose Ointment, 7.5 Ounces https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B006YTX0HQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_EJlUBbE2SCX4T
(shoppers has it too)

And more heavy duty zinc stuff when she's really red with a liner (we used. Viva paper towels as liners)

I have a combination of the kids wash cloths from IKEA, some random wash cloths we were given, and these Bumkins flannel wipes (which were much cheaper when I bought them). I use the peri bottle I got after delivery and just squirt water on the cloth before using. They get washed with the cloth diapers.

My bub is almost 8 months old, and I needed a place that would keep him out of... well, to be honest, everything. He sticks whatever he can in his mouth. Hell. He tries to stick the bars of this baby jail in his mouth.

I love the fact it is flexible and I can make it whatever shape I need it to be, and that it attaches to a wall when needs be for extra stability.

Now, for a newborn, we bought a more common playpen.

For our uses, the newborn sleeping space was useless. Our kid had issues sleeping... well... anywhere not on us. We ended up with him in a glider for our own sanity for sleeping. Three weeks of not being able to put him down were enough to make me cry Uncle. We ended up using it for cloth diapers as we made copious use of the changing table.

We gate checked our stroller and car seat (infant size). I got the $60 bags to wrap both in (this brand) and was glad I did. It was pouring rain at our destination, and I guess it took them a while to bring things up from below (and they went uncovered a bit) because the bags were soaked, but the car seat was dry after.

If your stroller has smaller bits (i.e. ours had adapters between the stroller & car seat that I popped off) I would take those with you onto the plane. One of the adapters fell out of the travel bag in the plane luggage area, and we nearly lost it.

We didn't travel with the car seat base.

We flew YVR to SFO when she was 3 months.
