every one of these fit my blue haired curvy barbie. The pants took a bit of work, but they fit and look like leggings on her.

The shirt is good as a jacket for normal babries, but it fits her perfectly.

The dress is naturally loose, so its a little tight on her. but it fits.

The shoes and belt fit also. Its honeslty the perfect pack

I also recommend another one.. I can't find it on amazon so i can't give the name. But it has a very nice teal blue skirt with lace, a lavender top that sits off the shoulders, and white shoes and a white hand bag. The top and the skirt fit perfectly and are very cute. The heal of the shoes though are too high for the doll.

I actually don't currently own any Kens--though I can imagine that kids would easier mess up contemporary Kens' hair: I've seen some Kens with bad hair days still in the box! I wouldn't think it would be so bad for adult collectors, but maybe the product looses its strength after awhile...

I agree that many of the playline Barbies are super boring these days, but I'm not sure if that's just selection bias since I'm older now and I'm definitely not their target audience. For instance, I find many of the "fairy" Barbies to not be my thing at all, but I know I would have totally loved them as a little girl!

One budget doll that I think is cool looking is the Barbie I Can Be Fashion Designer doll--I really love her shirt and her faceup is really pretty. That being said, sometimes I just look at the Barbie aisle in my local stores and just feel like I'd just be buying new dolls strictly for their outfits--many of the dolls seem to have such similar faces that they're really interchangeable.

Two current playlines I think that are different are the new Life in the Dreamhouse dolls (with real eyelashes!) and the older So In Style dolls.

But back to the older dolls: which 90s dolls do you think had the most fun concepts?

I love to share when I find non-Mattel Barbie clothes that I think are good. These 3 E-ting outfits arrived today. Two will fit the old Barbie figure pretty well. The red dress would not fit the older bodies as it isn’t made of a stretchy material. It fits pretty snug through the top on the fashionista body (I think tall). And they were under $5.00. Not a bad deal! I actually ordered a set!

This one seems to have a yellow chair for two like you said:

This one has two separate yellow chairs:

This is from 2002 and is the only one I've found with an inflatable pool, are you 100% sure it's not this one or that the pool really was inflatable? Someone else already linked it but just in case:

https://www.ebay.com/p/Very-RARE-2002-Barbie-Tropical-Cruise-Ship-Playset-Mattel/1900367697

And the only two I've found with dolphins are a 90s one:

https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Hawaiian-ISLAND-HOPPER-BOAT/dp/B0044VCW6Q

Or a very new one:

https://www.amazon.com/Barbie-Dolphin-Magic-Ocean-Playset/dp/B01MT1ABJ1

And neither of those really fit your description.

But I believe in the power of this subreddit!! We shall help you!

I got it on Amazon. Just look up Barbie Advent Calendar 2019 or use this link:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NW9MYBM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_qntLDb4QMCFTK

It comes with a Barbie and a whole bunch of color coordinated stuff. It’s pretty great.

Schleich came out with a whole pug family (a standing fawn, standing black and a set of two puppies- black and fawn) a few years back, but they aren't really cheap these days. It looks like with shipping, you're looking to spend about $20 a piece on them these days.

Kitan Club has a series of blind box pugs out right now. These ones are a little less versatile because they are meant to hang on the edge of a drinking glass, so their poses might be funny, depending on which one you get. I found mine at one of those gift stores that has all kinds of weird and quirky items, including tons of different blind boxes.

A decade ago or so, there was a series of birthstone barbies that came with different dogs, and some of them were pugs. These pop up on eBay every once in a while. They usually have crowns, but sometimes you'll find Barbie pugs without crowns (same mold, different series).

I hope you find what you're looking for!
