Hey, sorry I forgot to post stuff the other day after work.
Beading wire: Soft Flex and Beadalon are both pretty commonly used things available on Amazon and at Michaels. The gauge really depends on what kind of beads you're buying. Basically, if you're going to be getting bigger chunkier beads, you can get a thicker wire, but if you plan on getting tinier more delicate beads, get thinner wire.
Also, this kind of thing could be fun to play with: http://www.amazon.com/Artistic-20-Gauge-Buy-The-Dozen-Various-12-Pack/dp/B0044JPQV6/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1418016827&sr=8-5&keywords=beading+wire
Firemountaingems.com is also a great place for beaders. Looks like they have a bunch of stuff $10 and under right now as "stocking stuffers." They have tools and organizers! You could totally get one of the organizers to put all the little clasps and jump rings in and stuff.
Speaking of Jump-rings: I think about 6mm should be good, unless you plan on getting pretty big beads, than you could go for bigger jump rings.
Clasps: I think springrings are the cheapest, lobster claw clasps look a little cleaner IMO, and Toggle clasps can become a beautiful addition to the actual design of bracelets and necklaces.
Chain-nose Pliers, Round-nose pliers, wire side-cutter, crimper
They're glass (officially quartz?) and I can still see the shine from some of the cracks inside the beads.
https://www.michaels.com/bead-gallery-white-quartzite-stone-round-beads/10290843.html#start=20 This is what I bought, but the image is't very clear. They originally looked like this with a lot of interior sparkle, but now they look like the clearest ones in this link.
I wouldn't worry about that. The material you are stringing with is the issue, not the beads. If you google "elastic bracelet how to tie and hide knot" you get some contradicting but typical answers. You might consider adding spacer beads between the stones as it helps keep them from grinding against each other and helps to hide any cord. You can then use a matching cover over a knot without it standing out too much.
Like I said though, I hate elastic cording. It breaks eventually. Using crimp covers with wire can look great and clasps can add a lot of design options. If you are personally having a hard time putting a clasp on, I suggest using a chain extender as part of the end of the bracelet. Pinch the end of the chain between your finger and palm and use your other hand to loop the bracelet around and attach the clasp. I add a matching bead to the end and tend to use lobster clasps that can hook into any point of the chain. Using this type of closure widens the range of the bracelet market by fitting a wide variety of people while still proving a lasting and professional finish.
Alternatively, you can take a page from common round stone bracelets and do a sliding knot closure with a cord. Like this example. Additional example. (Random google images that matched what I meant. No relation to me.) This is a very inexpensive method and what you'll often see from the Chinese type imports because it's so straight forward. Because of the lack of additional material (chain, covers, crimps, clasps) this helps keep the material cost very low and flexibility high. So the type of market you are targeting and how to manage your costs is another factor sometimes.
Thank you. I just got size 10 delica beads. Before I tried size 11 toho beads but someone here recommended delica. And I figured slightly bigger beads might be a little easier. And I'm using Nymo size D. And these needles from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S8S5RBX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_a-5rDb4QP4SKH
I love this book. The last third or so is all sorts of 3D beaded flowers.
I found this artice. There are a couple more that I found on google.

I use these scissors for beading, and I would recommend you get the same.

I wouldn't try this if you don't know beading or sewing. But if you know sewing beading is easy.
I would make the design on a piece of parchment paper and sew through it... if that makes sense. Then you can tear/ cut it out.
I'm assuming you want size 11 opaque glass seed beads. Try these:

If you want to get into making your own stuff this loom is my favorite because you can make some big projects. Darice Large Oak Bead Loom with Legs, 15-Inch by 14-Inch by 3-1/2-Inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005M68LTO/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_n2C8wb6CT4BHP
This is a bad pic, but I think they fit the bill:https://www.amazon.com/Preciosa-Polished-Faceted-Borealis-80-Pack/dp/B0079D0PTM/ref=br_lf_m_aurr8jj3mxzv6qt_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&s=arts-crafts

I like [Ricks Bead Loom] (https://smile.amazon.com/Ricks-Beading-Loom-Kit-Complete/dp/B008KLP6QO) because you don't have to deal with so many warp threads. However, you are kind of stuck with the size once you start beading; you can't add or subtract rows of beads.
If you are using slide clasps, you can just tie off the ends and hide them in the clasp. In that case any regular beading loom will do, and you can get one for ten bucks or so, instead of $30+.
Beeswax all the way. I bought a tiny container of Thread Heaven and it turned out I was allergic to it! I spent the next couple of hours wheezing, coughing, forget it!
I have since read that some people have had even worse reactions. A review from a customer with COPD was posted to amazon.com and has since been deleted - they've deleted all the negative reviews, but I found it here. Scroll down to "jayelithe".
Also, it gets old and crumbly.
Far too late for Christmas but the 4th graders I teach are crazy about their rainbow looms.
