I have a coffee obsessed bird. He'll go so far as attacking you if you won't let him have it.
I found a solution that's safe for him. I think I actually read about it somewhere on Reddit. There's a coffee substitute called Postum that's made from wheat and molasses.
I make him a cup of that, and he'll drink it while I have my coffee and then we're both happy.
