I suggest you stop doing it. That is some industrial strength bullshit.

>Does anyone else have this problem?

I am of European and Ashkenazi decent and I used to use relaxers. It would really damage my hair and the perm would usually just wash out as soon as I washed my hair the next week.

Relaxer is from Satan. <_< You should get a silk press weekly or bi-weekly instead. I found this hair product by TM Products online, it's a moisturizer for pressing your hair. Get a hot comb and a flat iron and also invest in some argan oil, which will protect your hair from the heat.

If you absolutely must get relaxers you should go see a professional stylist because you could really mess up your scalp. I have heard of people who have burned their hair off with relaxer.

Good Hair- Relaxer -here's a clip from the documentary "Good Hair" by comedian Chris Rock.

Maybe try a better straightener. The best one I've ever used is this one from Tool Science. I've had mine for about 7 years now and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It leaves my hair nice and silky straight without making it crunchy like Chi irons do

By far the best I've used.

Nizoral A-D Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, 7 Oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AINMFAC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_kcyNAbJ6QZVW1

I shampoo once a week and condition/moisturize everyday. But obviously do what works best for you and your situation.

I don't use this shampoo all the time though. But you mentioned dandruff shampoos, and it's a good one to have in your arsenal.

I recently tried Halka Styling Hair Gel, Clear, 18 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UBLC3RG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xTYXBbDQPYSBH

A friend visiting from the Dominican Republic left it in my bathroom. I was really impressed with it. I have 4c hair and it’s difficult to find something that holds without getting flaky. But I don’t know much about how natural it is or if it has silicone.

I’ve heard people recommend “gorilla snot” but I haven’t had success with it personally.

Sorry, I'm not getting the notifications, so I forgot to reply.

I bought two different ones, because I have two showers. This is the one I've been using to wash my hair. And this is the other one I bought.

I ended up buying the second one, because I was going to buy another one of the first model, but they sold out. Both are the same brand though, around the same price, and they filter evenly. The only difference is the second one is I guess fancier because it uses a strong magnet to hang back up, lol.

I have and use a Wahl professional clipper and The Wahl detailers for line up. I got These guards because the #1.5 gaurd that comes with most Wahl clippers are trash and fall off (mine did and after research seems it is a common problem). I also have a generic shavette razor that I use for making my line up tighter. Also, Wahl professionals do not come with guards!

Tips that I could give would be go slow and be patient at first. Like I mentioned above it took me a while to feel confident to go with a skin fade and so I would do #1-#2 fades (AKA shadow fades or more like tapers ) but once you get the feel for it its really not all that hard. Here is a couple videos that helped me. The first is the method I use for fading. Bald out - blade open - work the line to closed - #.5 open- work to close - etc til I get to #2 where it blends into the top. The second video was my inspo but the videos on that channel are mostly fire cuts and he gives a lot of good tips. 3rd vid is another guy who has a lot of fire cuts and uses a method similar to what I do. Good Luck if you try it out. And if you do try it out post some pics!!

Have you ever used a hair sponge? My hair was about your length and it worked great (after washing and deep conditioning). You can get them at your local beauty supply or online: Parabirds Curl Twist Hair Sponge Big Holes Brush Double-Sided Comb for Afro Hair Pick(2Pcs) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07P7PY1FQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_xHwIDbWQC2ZRG

It could depend what used to do the braids. I used to get mine done with mousse and I literally wanted to rip my hair out. I stopped using that and it got better. The itch does not go away .. no pain no gain right? Or you could try plaits those are never as bad as cornrows or feed-ins(for me). I just try and keep my scalp and hair oiled and moisturized. Also I use [this] (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0095UFAM4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_NkJPCb5P7JMJ9) “Jamaican Mango & Lime Spray” as well. I hope you try it again and this helps. GOOD LUCK ! 👍🏾 and honestly . I just recently started getting braided up and I will say the more you get your hair done it will be more bearable each time because like I said it doesn’t go away and not itch but it gets less itchier if that makes any sense lmaoo.

So currently, I wash my hair every sunday, then deep condition right after, add in leave in, avocado oil and gel. I co wash in the week (kind of). I only co wash if my hair isnt looking as curly because of sleeping (for some reason when i sleep, my hair looks different, still have some curl partners but not defined at all and yes I sleep with satin pillow case https://www.amazon.com/Spasilk-Beauty-Pillowcase-Standard-Queen/dp/B0070U9GSU). Every so often in the week, I would just use hot water and attempt to style my hair compared to co washing. Would only co wash if the use of water no longer works. TOday is friday, I co washed on Wednesday, added water today, my scalp is itch and dry. I think I have been having this problem for a while now but still cant find a way to fix it. Please help me! I want to get defined curls. So far, I have only been able to get defined curls once. Can't remember what I did but that was with longer hair. I did a buzz cut recently but I have gotten to the point where my hair can curl a bit again.

I know a guy who had great success with a product called Skin Tight. His ingrown hairs were more severe than yours.

Using a one bladed safety razor has completely STOPPED my in grown hair issue.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002RBF1PO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I use that cheap one from Amazon. Works great and only took about a week to get used to it vs my Mach 3.

Every time after you shower wipe that area with stridex pads. They are only $3 at my local dollar general. It will help remove your current ingrown hairs, prevent new ones from forming, & help fade away your blemishes.

https://www.amazon.com/Cantu-Butter-Leave-Conditioning-Repair/dp/B00449W12S/ref=sr_1_26_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1517494278&sr=1-26&keywords=leave+in+conditioner

Shampoo and condition as usual add the leave in conditioner everyday. Our hair has to moisturized constantly, or it won't grow properly. Additionally you can use an oil (olive, coconut, argan etc..) of your choice after the leave in conditioner to lock in the moisture.

Good luck.
