The first one was...not good. It jumped around a lot, and the end was...odd.
But I'd heard that the first two or three were not nearly as good as the rest, so I plowed through. So happy that I did.
I might suggest starting over with Wee Free Men. It's a YA book, and therefore (I hear) much faster paced and easier to get into. A gateway drug, you might say, to Discworld as a whole. :-)
