39. RUFFWEAR - Cloud Chaser, Forest Green, XX-Small

    Features:
  • PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS: The Cloud Chaser jacket is both waterproof and windproof, while also being breathable. The three layer, soft shell upper fabric keeps your dog safe and comfortable in inclement weather. The reflective trim helps you keep an eye on your dog, even in low-light visibility environments, and includes a light loop for attaching The Beacon Light (not included) for additional visibility.
  • COATED LOWER FABRIC: The Cloud Chaser's coated lower fabric keeps your dog as clean as possible by shedding off the excess water, snow, and dirt in order to prevent accumulation. This also helps keep the jacket from getting too heavy on your dog's back.
  • HIGH PERFORMANCE FIT: The Cloud Chaser is built to withstand the rigorous elements of the great outdoors. The jacket closes with a zipper to keep the interior well-insulated in order to maintain your dog's core body heat.
  • FULL COVERAGE: The "Sseeved" style of the Cloud Chaser Insulated Jacket provides both optimal warmth and full range of motion, keeping your dog comfortable and able to participate in a wide array of outdoor activities with you.
  • CLOUD CHASER SIZING: The Cloud Chaser Jacket is available in 6 sizes (see images for sizing chart): XX-Small: 13-17 in (33-43 cm); X-Small: 17-22 in (43-56cm); Small: 22-27 in (56-69 cm); Medium: 27-32 in (69-81 cm); Large: 32-36 in (81-91 cm); X-Large: 36-42 in (91-107 cm). Choose the right size based on your dog's girth. Girth can be determined by measuring around the widest part of the rib cage. For in between sizes, choose the larger coat for more coverage.

I got this for my Boston a few months ago, and so far it has worked very well. I like that it fastens on the top-it seems to make it a lot easier to get him into it that way. He is around 20 lbs, and I got him a large.

When my dog is super antsy, I'll put half of his dinner in one of these. Then he spends the next half hour chasing it around the house to get his food out of it, and by the time he's done, he's tuckered out. I also make sure he has lots of toys and bones and hoofs to chew on so he has something to do so he's not bored.

When it happened to mine, I have read that they might stand back up. I taped them just once instead of waiting and it solved the issue. Took about 4 days.

These came cut in little pieces that fit his ears perfectly.

Harness: Petco
Bow Collar: Amazon

Both have been great quality for us so far, 2 months in! But she'll already be growing out of the collar soon.

hey! Currently my Boston is 4 months. Ears typically should start standing up at 4 months but if they don't then they might need some training. Here is an explanation and guide to help. I would wait till 3 months and start taping. It is a harmless trick. http://www.boston-terriers.com/ears.htm

the tape they mention is kinda hard to find through stores, I have been using this tripled up https://www.amazon.com/Kind-Removal-Single-Silicone-2770S-1/dp/B01BH57H2U/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_200_lp_t_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=SV4J698RGNJWX1F4GBKE

$45 for a 30lb bag Taste of the Wild. Sometimes he gets buffalo breath, but he scarfs this shit down like noone's business. I remember this particular type getting an A or A- on one of those food rating sites, the top ingredients are all meat.

Like others have said, they're real hands-y and will need toys they can manipulate. They're one of the only dogs I know who will go inside blanket forts you build for them. They're real sensitive to your emotional state so try not to lose your cool with them, and try not to let them walk all over you.

I had one with a flat snoot like the one in the pic and he was real quick to overheat and I had to carry him on the second half of some walks, and he snored loud AF, but otherwise I didn't have to take any extra care of his eyes. I did get to stick my nose in his nose nook when snuggling, but otherwise, his head held his eyes just fine and he was really expressive. Them bosty boys got wide noggins.

My girlfriend says you're gonna need bully sticks of the odor-free variety because they're aggressive chewers. Real artists. I've watched my girl meticulously gnaw the ears off of stuffed animals (straight cuts at the base of the ear) and then chew small incisions into the main body so they could extract the squeaker. Bully sticks will keep them busy and you can watch them hold it in their paws and nom it like a Popsicle.

We use this one for beckett. I like it because its loose until he pulls then it tightens until he stops pulling then it loosens up again. its light weight and it also doesnt hold in heat or anything. and it wont come off unless you want it too lol. weve had this for years and i wont use any other harness. He feels like hes wearing nothing.

He's adorable! One thing that you should try is to raise the level of the food bowl. This has helped Rex immensely and prevents most of the hiccups that he was getting that would sometimes go too far and have him throw up.

We have one similar to this, which is just a 4" rise.

Give it a try!

We got Cicero this jacket this year. It's fleece-lined and keeps him toasty warm! http://www.amazon.com/Ruffwear-Chaser-Jacket-XX-Small-Forest/dp/B00DZ298SU

It's a little more spendy but it keeps him really warm; it's fleece-lined on the inside.
