I play on the DS4 like you and I love it. You should look into the Madcatz FightPad series if they look like something you could use. You can get the 360 models relatively cheap like the one I showed (actually thats the one I own as well) and its quite responsive and comfortable. I don't use it simply cause I got so accustomed to the Joystick on the DS4

https://www.amazon.com/Genius-Scorpion-Gaming-Keyboard-31310471100/dp/B00ZUPM5GC i use this one, it's not mechanical but it has a antyghost system, so i think it would be usefull for you, also thanks for try to implement this, it's a really awesome thing to give some love to keyboard players <3

I recently started using the Hori Sports Pad Pro which has octagonal gates around each analog stick. It takes a bit of getting used to, but I'm truly enjoying the controller. Note that I did need to get extra thumbstick covers because the thumbsticks wear very quickly and feel strange on the thumbs -- I got these which fit perfectly.

Yea, the dpad on the Nintendo Switch Pro is ass. Just google search Nintendo Switch Pro dpad and you will get a bunch of results saying how bad it is.

About the adapter, I do recommend you get this one instead:

It is basically the same as the 8bitdo one, but better. It can do everything the 8bitdo can, but it is not limited to wireless, you can plug a wired controller in as well and it works. I plug in my wired Hori Commader Pro and works perfectly.

if you can't spring for a 144hz monitor then this is the lowest response time 60hz monitor I have ever encountered: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077XLKLH4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

be aware that "response time" in monitor specs does not refer to actual input response. this has to be done with a special hardware tester and is never included in specs. A whole website/community spawned around this, trying to catalog actual input lag across monitors (https://displaylag.com/display-database/) but has long since died out. I've ended up testing a lot of these when searching for the best monitors to use at in-person tournaments, and this was the best I ever came across.

i have a flightpad too :), ive played with other Bluetooth adapters to make it work but its always been so finicky. but after I bought a mayflash Dolphin bar (which is mainly used for the dolphin emulator but has a option to use wii remotes as a pc controller) and as I said joypad, it was really easy to configure.

I got a dolphin bar from here

this should solve your problem

keep your spacing and make sure hes not able to rush you down, use adas weapons to your advantage, they are both good for keeping people away (adas sigs are also really...really good)

Mayflash adapter + newly manufactured GCN controller is a godlike combo imo.

https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-GameCube-Controller-Adapter-Port/dp/B00RSXRLUE/

Fairly cheap, compared to modern controller prices at least, and supported out of the box by the devs. The octagon gate on the analog stick in particular is really great for throws. (Unfortunately I feel Brawlhalla tries to use the analog triggers as digital, but I fixed that by changing my dodge button to the x button personally, ymmv)

Those of us over at LeftStickDown would also be interested in this information.

For a wireless 360 controller, you'll need a wireless receiver like this:

I've played this game with WiFi every time and my internet is consistent. Updates and patches usually mess with their servers which make it lag for some people. I was rubber-banding for a month straight until a patch fixed the issue. If its impossible to use ethernet I suggest buying this:

https://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-Powerline-Adapter-Starter-TL-PA4010KIT/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_3?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1481213072&sr=1-3&keywords=powerline+adapter.

Edit: Don't buy this since you do use Ethernet, all you can do is just hope an update fixes it and email BMG

I use may flash it works fine for me without drivers installed
