Yes, the ginger tea was just awful to get down! Oh the ginger extract gave me WICKED heartburn but took antacids to help mellow that out. They have an all natural ginger candy that is pretty good as well that I started to love https://smile.amazon.com/Ginger-People-Original-Chewy-Candy/dp/B000LKX4FW/ref=sr_1_5_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1481882476&sr=8-5&keywords=ginger+candy

never tried this flavor but people seem to like it but I have to imagine its pretty good as the plain ginger was shockingly good.

Before I received my pregnancy pillow as a gift, I got this $10 body pillow from Target. It definitely helped. I had cushion under my belly and between my legs where I needed it. I still had to use pillows for my back so when I got my pregnancy pillow, I had the back support as well.

This was the pregnancy pillow I received as a gift.

I'm definitely going to check out Mylanta now. TUMS seriously does nothing for me anymore.

Magnesium! Natural Calm - raspberry lemonade flavor is my favorite. It's like Emergen-C, I got it on Amazon but it may be at your grocer or a health store. It's kept me regular throughout my pregnancy (38+5 now), and it also helps me get to sleep. It's a thing that will continue well after birth.

I feel your pain. I'm 18 weeks and the nausea has finally let up a little bit. Puking has not. So far I spend my time puking so hard I pee myself or puking so hard my nose bleeds. I only eat things that are sour or cold or cold and sour. Like tequila after my 18th birthday, if I never see Ginger Ale again it will be too soon.

I got really sick with the flu almost a month ago and I thought I was going to die. I am still spending a ridiculous amount of time blowing my nose or coughing up flem.

I went from being a "log-type" sleeper to being restless all over the place and unable to sleep. The snoogle helped but not really. Cue being super cranky and just exhausted all the time. My hubby finally bought me one of these:
https://www.amazon.ca/Queen-Rose-U-Shaped-Maternity-Pregnancy/dp/B01B5ITZ4M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1483030632&sr=8-1&keywords=maternity+pillows+full+body
because he couldn't take the "all-night surprise-attack no-holds-barred pillow fights" (his words). This thing has been a godsend, it replaced the thirty thousand pillows I was using and even the snoogle, but I still wake to shift positions three-four times a night.

The heart burn just started this week.

Nobody in my family is being super supportive of this pregnancy because it was unplanned, despite the fact it was not unwelcome. So I have no one to talk with except my crazy MIL with babies rabies. Pregnancy was a total joy for her. Gag.

So far, the only solutions I have are Netflix and tears.

Boppy makes a good wedge pillow ($14 on Amzn); that plus a regular body pillow has served me just fine for two pregnancies.

I swear with each kid those only gets worse. Be kind to yourself, rest when you can. Your 6 year old probably won't remember this. We got this book (and the rest in the series) Waiting for Baby https://www.amazon.com/dp/1846432758/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_QeY3wbHE3KDAZ and read it to our kids. It shows a pic of mom sleeping on the couch while dad and generic kid get dinner ready saying let's be quiet. We try to discuss growing a baby makes mama tired. Hope you get that "second tri" energy soon. I swear I didn't get mine until 31 weeks. Sigh

Even if you are pregnant, you're allowed sushi!

I highly recommend reading Expecting Better, as the author looks at the actual scientific evidence behind most common pregnancy do's and don'ts.

For example, she says there's no problem with sushi, as long as you get it from reputable places. No gas station sushi :)
