ok, your profile text is pretty good! there's stuff there for ladies to ask you about and you seem to have a good sense of humor.
>I could do it outside if I can figure out a decent location for it, I suppose, (i.e. I need to be able to actually set my camera up somewhere other than on the ground, plus a decent background.) but I thought the studio-type lighting was still pretty good. shrug Still better than typical soft white indoor lighting giving off that yellowish tinge.
Outside really is best. I've taken a few photos of myself using a tripod out in my yard/driveway. Just think of something that naturally makes you laugh and click away. Natural light + genuine smiles are really good for photos.
>As for the others, overall, guess I'm trying too hard to actually showcase what I'm like as a person and not hard enough on simply following rules 1 and 2 of OLD amirite?
but rules 1 and 2 are pretty flexible, we all find different things attractive, and in-person chemistry is often very different from online perceptions.
you might also try Hinge, if that's active in your area.
Welcome to the world of dating my friend. You saved yourself some time with this one though. Majority of women you're going to meet on dating sites you will not be compatible with. It's a numbers game so keep improving and learn something after every attempt.

One of the best things I ever did was download the audio book below by Mark Manson (Models: Attract Women through Honesty). I listen to it every month or so while on the treadmill and learn something new every time. I just got out of a 3 year relationship in March and it's helped a ton getting back into the dating game. I've had your exact situation many times already and this book really breaks it down. Good Luck!

Part of the key is natural light. Take the pictures next to an open window or door at a favorable time of day.
> name one that has it

if you even googled his name, it comes up. is google too hard for you?
> Also extra LOL at citing "the reddingtonpost" as a credible source.
um, did you actually read the article? they took the image right out of the worldbanc report. and linked to it. something doesn't become false just because it doesn't fit your biases.
> [all the rest of the shit you said]
again, you did not present even a single counterpoint. all you did is complain about what i said.
Uh huh, thanks. Just relating personal observation but I appreciate your input.
EDIT: Just to be particularly specific the 20% stat is my recollections from this book which is very much based on very real statistics from the founder of OKC who had unfettered access to all of the data their user base coughed up. It's eye-opening.

Treat yo self
Not trying to be rude, but have you tried being more interesting?
Most guys are jerks, so don't beat yourself up. In the mean time read this book:
