First things first, OP:
DO NOT BUY GAMER HEADSETS
They are cheap for a reason and are horrible headphones.
If you want quality that will last you a long time look into HiFi headphones. They're $100 for headphones for the lowest price I've seen, and $20 for earbuds that I've seen (and owned).
They are compatible with anything that has a 3.5mm jack, and most have in line microphones that will sound better that any other gaming headset you can purchase.
Go to /r/Audiophile, /r/headphones, and /r/headphoneporn for ideas on what to buy.
I've had the same headphones for nearly 2 years, longer than any earbuds or headphones I've ever purchased, they came with a microphone, and sound just as good, if not better than my speakers.
These are what I have, but have significantly jumped in price (were half that price) and these are a good replacement for them. They don't come with a microphone, but are still great for sound whoring.
Edit: I saw the budget and the Audio Technicas are ~40 pounds over budget. If you keep digging in those subs I recommended, you'll find a great deal on some headphones. I found $20 earbuds that sound absolutely amazing for the price. They take a really long time to ship from Japan (to the US at least), but if you want to try them, I'll drop a link.
I know the recommendations you're going to get will seem tempting OP, but trust me, they will break in a week, not sound good, or the microphone will shit on you, I guarantee it. I've had 3 pairs of gaming headsets over the years and they all broke after the first year and a half of having them. I've paid over $80 for each pair too.
It's around $46 on Amazon for the physical copy (new) of the Legacy edition on both PS4 and XB1, it's definitely worth it IMO.
All 16 base maps are currently available, and the remaining 4 DLC maps don't have an official release date, but are speculated to come this spring.
The campaign and multiplayer are very solid, and the recent update fixed most of the server and spawn issues.
There are supply drops in the MP, and you can earn everything by playing the game, and it is a much better system than BO3 and IW had.
To sum up the SD system, you earn depot credits depending on how much time you put in a match, doesn't matter what your K/D is. You'll typically get 2-4 credits per match if you mainly play TDM and Dom like me.
Common SDs cost 10 credits while Rares cost 30. Duplicates of items you already own give you some Parts. Rares always give you a bonus of Parts. Everything is part of a collection, and every collection has a bounty attached to it. Non-bounty items can be directly crafted with Parts or received in SDs. Bounties cannot be crafted or received in SDs, and must be earned by unlocking all the items in their specific collections.
The supply drop weapons include non-cosmetic guns: 1 AR (XM-LAR), 1 full-auto shotgun (Kam-12), and a revolver (.44 Magnum); and cosmetic melee weapons such as a gladiator sword, sickle, CQB knife, etc.
There's cosmetic combat uniforms with varying (mostly desert-style) patterns, they're not that good IMO.
There are also cosmetic weapon kits ("skins" that change the look of your weapons) which IMO is the coolest customization option I've seen in any COD to date. All weapon kits are confined to their own weapon type. A cool thing is that each weapon in a class have a slightly or very different design for each weapon kit. These include Battleworn and Stinger for ARs, Pride and Assassin for snipers, Whiteout for SMGs, etc.
Edit: Grammar.
Get the Turtle Beach Stealth 520. It's $107 on amazon right now. Link
It's completely wireless, it has excellent surround sound, and the mic is crystal clear. It also has several different audio presets, like vocal boost, bass boost, natural sound, etc. And it also has a feature called "superhuman hearing" which amplifies foot steps, reloads, etc so you can more easily locate the enemy. I've used the feature on both Battlefield 1 and mw remastered, and between the two it really feels like they custom tailored it for call of duty.
I made 3 simple mods to my controller, and had some real success:
> - hair trigger / trigger stop see here- (pretty decent mod)
Took some labour, but didn't total more than 1 or two hours. The real benefit here, is that the controller remains wireless. Strikepack forces USB only.
Worth the effort in my opinion.

There's a lot of reviews for it here and generally, people don't seem to like it. If you do purchase this, please post a review! I don't have a SCUF either since I find them overpriced, but I would consider getting this accessory
This is the one I grabbed when it was on sale friday: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H5KKRLO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I think other Benq monitors do the same thing but I'm not sure.
WiFi latency will be responsible for getting you killed many times. If running an ethernet cable is definitely not an option, I'd suggest looking into a [Powerline Adapter Set] (https://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-Powerline-Adapter-Starter-TL-PA4010KIT/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_138?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1478531040&sr=1-138&keywords=powerline+adapter). These basically use the already existing electrical wiring inside your walls to transmit the data normally transmitted by ethernet cables. There's only one caveat, The sender and receiver have to be connected to power plugs on the same electrical circuit so they either work or they don't . If they don't you could just return them. That's the latency / lag part. Now onto the NAT part. If you're using a ISP provided router can I assume you have the administrator password to log in and make changes to this router? (Lately ISPs have been including this information on stickers attached to the device itself).
