> Alright thanks alot man. How much does the average start up cost? Millions? Billions?

It's not a cost, it's an investment!

There's no average of course in the Life Sciences the barrier of entry is high, since... knowledge is expensive, so are labs etc... DO NOT LET ANYTHING DISCOURAGE YOU not even me, it's not my intent.

There is much, much to learn besides the basics of how crispr actually works. Everything from knowing which types of buffer to use, types of water to use, pH of buffers, salt concentrations needed for reactions, counter balance ions, types of gels......becoming a proficient molecular biologist is a skill that take years to develop. I can't build a car or a house if instead some books on the basics of car mechanic repair or carpentry, right? No, you also need knowledge and a lot of hands on experience to become a proficient carpenter. All of the videos etc are nice, but there are sooooooo many more things to think about when actually doing this stuff in the lab in order to get quality results and to avoid things like contamination, low efficiency, and non-reproducible results.
