Yes and no. I didn't touch anything metal or have to take airbag out. I just undid three screws below and took off plastic housing. Below is what I purchased, I'm not sure if it will fit Malibu or not, as mine is the Cobalt. I think it was pretty easy, make sure you don't strip screw like I did. It was a pain to get out. 😂

> how big of a job am I looking at?

We need to make sure your wiring harness is not damaged/chewed by critters before making that call. Wiring repairs generally aren't too hard if you know how to properly cut and splice. The O2 sensor is only 4 wires. The sensor itself is only held in by the threads, so it's as easy as unscrewing the old one and screwing the new one back in. Sometimes these oxygen sensor adapters for your ratchet can help a lot for loosening the old one since it can be on there pretty tight.

Here's the current progress. So far I've got a rebuilt 700r4 on the bottom, touched up the chrome need more paint for the body, cleaned up the interior as the stock cluster was about 25% working and 75% melted I went with iEquus for gauges. The engine is going to be pulled and I've got another 350 SBC to work with. Friend suggested rocker roller cams and I'm going to agree. Most of what has been done is for looks. I do have more changes to make such as a [chrome grill] (https://www.amazon.com/Stainless-Billet-Custome-1981-87-Suburban/dp/B010178RTC/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1521234153&sr=1-3&keywords=grill+chevy) and painting the engine bay, rewiring the harness and some engine enamel to go with the hose candy.

I have decided to purchase these from amazon. I will let people know how they fit. I figured a universal set would be better than a custom one that did not fit at all.

I use this one that you insert into the CD slot. Works great for me as I haven't used a CD in years so this is the phone holder I'll use until I eventually replace the head unit. At that point I'll probably get one from proclips mentioned in an earlier comment.

I was told it's called the "V-Flag", when I looked up the ones we have, I got this from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Classic-Headquarters-V-Flag-Fender-Emblem/dp/B076JYPRBL

My (late) husband put those (The 327 version) on our Avalanche since it has the 5.3L 327 engine and he always loved the design on the classic cars.

I use the Meguiar's Headlight Restoration Kit It does need to be redone about every 6 months or so, but it only takes 15-20 minutes to pop out the headlight assemblies, do the restoration, and reinstall them.
BTW, is that a 2004? Looks a lot like my front end, except I have a bug deflector.

You have to vacuum the air out of the system before putting refrigerant in. You can do this yourself if you have a set of filler valves, a vacuum pump, and a very accurate digital scale. Most people don't have these lying around, so they'll just go to the shop for this part only.

Edit: You could use a kit like this. You would also need the scale to measure the correct amount of refrigerant going in.

The key to pulling the door panel is to use the right tool.

You just slide it under the panel and slide it left or right to find the fastener. Then use it as a lever to pop the fastener loose. Works like a charm.

You can find it at any auto parts store for less than $10. A million uses beyond pulling door panels too.

If you've got a 2000-2005 Impala, the job is the same as the Monte Carlo for all intents and purposes. I've done the job before (actually was replacing the pulse board, but same process) and it's not too bad as these things go.

One thing you might want to do while you're in there is to replace the cabin air filter and get this updated shield to keep water from leaking into the passenger floor board.

Well, out where i am in Cali, I rarely see temps < 40 haha. Are they by chance these? I would probably replace the halos that come in them because the reviews say they die.

Steel wheels sounds like a LS model (no push button start, no button on door handle to open with key in pants pocket) which would be 13503205. Cheapest I saw it was at the Amazon link below

Yeah this sucks. I didn't even ask the salesman if it supported music because I was sure that it would. I ended up ordering a Kinivo BTC450 for bluetooth streaming. It has great reviews and is supposedly good for calling as well but it's a big bummer for my new car to be missing such a basic feature.

I have a 2014 Equinox and I bought this last week, I just installed it this morning. It works well with my IPhone 7 but there isn't a great spot for it due to the vent orientations. I have it up high on the center vent right now and it works okay. They also sell a version the auctions to the window, that way it can go anywhere.

I work as a detailer and my tool of choice is a brush with rubber "teeth" on it similar to [this one] (http://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guys-ACC_S06-Professional-Removal/dp/B0042B4B3U)
