Going to visit various towns in Italy, France and England, as well as live with local families several nights! Super excited!


So, I've been looking around for a book to read while I'm there, and I've settled on getting a single-volume of Dante's Divine Comedy with all cantos. I wanted something that's a good long read, and is influential to European culture.


What's the best translation/copy at an affordable price? Preferably hardback.


So far, I'm thinking of this copy by Freeman's Library. Love the company. Read a copy of 1984 and Catch-22 from them and they've got quality, beautiful products, would recommend. The translation is Mandelbaum’s, which is supposed to be pretty good.


Any books that are better? Like I said, a good long read that's influential.

Sigh, sex and gender are not the same thing. Your sex is what you are biologically, your gender is what you identify as. I would encourage you to read Fausto-Sterling's Sexing the Body as it is a very fascinating and SCIENTIFIC look at gender and sex and the politics behind a lot of it. Don't want to educate yourself? Also, do you even know about intersex people? What sex and/or gender would you say they have? The world isn't black and white and I would sincerely encourage you to educate yourself as you sound like a right ignorant twat right now.

If you're into Sci-fi type books, you should check out The Sparrow. Easily one of my favorites that draws on philosophy, religion, linguistics, space travel, and more.

There was a follow-up called "Children of God" which I'd recommend if you like the first one.

Fair enough, you can buy second hand really cheaply though if you do want something to tide you over.

I have a Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Elite Mechanical Stealth Edition Gaming Keyboard, works really well and has arrow keys/number pad. It's also very quiet (for a mechanical keyboard anyway). I play with my brother in the same room and he doesn't have any complaints about it. Also it's not really a gaming keyboard, I use it primarily for programming, it just says gaming in the name. There's also a non-backlist one that's only $90, which is cheap for a mechanical keyboard. I personally really like the backlighting on mine though, and it's individually backlit so if any light breaks I can replace it (had the keyboard for a few months now and they all still work though)

This can be read in a weekend and includes a pretty solid intro to Marxism in the first few chapters

Yes... I know it isn't custom made (as it uses a Zoostorm base), but the other parts (CPU, ect) aint too bad on it. So I decided to upgrade the shittest parts

I would also recommend you read a book called Red China Today about an American journalist who goes to china and reports on the situation.
