With the N7 the phone clip is not necessary right? It has the phone clip functionality already built in?
I have a similar one that adds phone sensing and will flash a light. I like waking up to a flashing light rather than a shaker.

I have both, i tried 3.5 mm output but hated it because of the hissing.
