24" Monitor is definitely the way to go if you're looking to take things more seriously and improve

There are a load that brand themselves as 'Gaming' and have a low response time, but in all honesty when it comes down to it there is no way your reaction time is going to be good enough to make the tiniest difference matter.

I use this (and it's awesome and cheap): http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-VE247H-Widescreen-Intelligence-Technology/dp/B004T2LMP2/ref=sr_1_7?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1419868123&sr=1-7&keywords=gaming+monitor

For something a bit more expensive you could look into this (it's what the pros use): http://www.amazon.co.uk/BenQ-XL2420Z-24-inch-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B00HZF2MPE/ref=sr_1_15?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1419868178&sr=1-15&keywords=gaming+monitor

If having specialized gaming hardware is cheating, then gaming headsets (stereo or surround), gaming monitors (low input / fast response), and expensive networking equipment are also "cheating."

I don't, and wouldn't, fault someone for wanting to have the very best unless it was brazen game hacks. I'd also like to say that Call of Duty in the past sold specialized controllers that included some of the same features as a SCUF. FPS oriented controllers also existed for consoles before the Xbox 360. My first run in with one was the original Xbox. I thought it was super cool.

Don't buy into "gaming headsets". A nice pair of headphones with an external mic will give you way more sound quality. If I were you I would get:

Sennheiser HD 598's- http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD-598-Headphones-Accents/dp/B0042A8CW2/ref=sr_1_cc_2?s=aps&ie=UTF8&qid=1414427164&sr=1-2-catcorr&keywords=sennheiser+hd+pro+598

Ear Force DSS2 - http://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Force-Surround-Processor-63043006306200/dp/B006W41X36 (not sure what is up with that first picture)

Zalman clip on mic - http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ

Then you'd need an adapter to hook up a 3.5mm audio to whatever controller you're using. You can simply get a male 2.5mm to female 3.5mm adapter (won't give you chat volume control) or you can use something like this http://steelseries.com/us/products/outlet/steelseries-spectrum-audio-mixer-xb if you're using a Xbox 360.

This setup is almost exactly what I use and it's amazing. I use Sennheiser HD 380 Pro's and Ear Force DSS1.

If you have the cash, you could up it a little bit and go to a monitor with a 1ms response time. THIS would be awesome.

The monitor that l linked has a 5ms response time, which is fine with me.

  1. You will need the following for your A40's: Headset Adapter.

  2. Depends on your shipping choice, where you live etc...

  3. Someone more qualified than myself should answer this.

  4. I love it. It didn't change a whole lot, the main change is that the battery back is now more a part of the controller instead of a tumor on the back. If you have longer fingers like myself it feels much more natural. Other than that, the haptic feedback has been improved.

that's the art cover here but yeah it could be so easily fake, I'm not going to believe him until I see more proof

Pick up a set of these to keep your PS4 sticks in good shape or cover a top that the rubber has already worn off of.

Logitech g430
Had it for months on my PC with no problems, works with playstation, and I like it better than my old X11's I used on my Xbox 360.

Grip-iT Analog Stick Covers

These will give you loads of grip, are very cheap ($5 for 2 sets), and will last a while.

  1. See if your TV has a game mode setting and turn it on.
  2. Try adjusting your sensitivity.
  3. Check out KontrolFreeks, especially these ones.
