http://coltsacademy.com/ ---------- learn about the Colts as they are in 2014 with a focus on the tactical side of the game. This is heavily focused on week by week analysis so come here to learn what we are doing right now, not for past history

http://www.colts.com/videos/videos/COLTS-SEASON-IN-REVIEW-2006/8f348d34-c68f-4d1a-b817-4e59fdf9675f ------------ 10 minute piece on the Colts 2006 championship run, focusing specifically on the legendary AFC championship game and the super bowl itself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-trg7HGoGE ----------- ESPN 30 for 30: The Band that Never Died. This is a documentary about the Baltimore Colts marching band, and the circumstnaces surrounding the Colts move to Indianapolis

http://www.amazon.com/Colts-The-Complete-History-Indianapolis/dp/B000GYI34K -------- If you want to spend a little money ($8 on Amazon right now) A two disk documentary about the complete history of the Colts franchise, both Baltimore and Indianapolis. The documentary was released in November of 2006, so the history will end right before the Superbowl run

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1613212224/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687522&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=0760343306&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0CS6X0P0SATCSQPWX1AS ------------ Tales from the Indianapolis Colts Sideline: A Collection of the Greatest Colts Stories Ever Told. This one was written by Mike Chappell (beat writer for the team) and it is basically a bunch of insider interviews and stories from the Colts during the Indianapolis era. This is another one you will have to pay for

That is some stuff I could find on the internet over the last 10 minutes that I think would give you a pretty comprehensive overview of the team.

All I will say is this: while the Baltimore stuff is very interesting, the vast majority of Colts fans do not claim that history and most of us think it is best left with Baltimore. So if you want to condense your viewership, focus more on the Indianapolis stuff because the Baltimore stuff is not really relevant to Colts fans today and bringing up all time Baltimore greats like Johnny Unitas as "ours" is generally frowned upon

Im a huge fan of the comic-like submission we put up on the Titans, lots of fun, nothing too personal -- friendly ribbing. I would really like to continue that as a group, I think it's a great way to assert our dominance, creativity, and community while not personally insulting others. However, I dont have the talent to understand how long it took to create Luck riding a new unit of power, so I understand that it might not be reasonable to do it every week; though I'd be happy brainstorming.

With that said, I'd like Luck, wearing this but the neard MUST spill out of the bottom of the mask. What happens from here is beyond me, maybe show off Vinatieri kicking a field goal that goes in? and if we want to turn it up a notch, make it a field goal competition where their kicker sobs and the prize is $25,000.

The Best Game Ever Played (I think that's the title, the one about the Colts Giants NFL Championship Game from the 50s) might be a good one. I haven't read it personally, but I've heard good things about it, and it's probably going on my Christmas list this year.

Agreed, easily top 3 IMO. I'm actually currently reading a book set in the universe written by one of the games lead writers that follows Revan's storyline if you're interested:

Its actually pretty much done, but not releasing until the start of the season. Here's the page on amazon!

It's a lot more Jets-centric since he's a Jets fan, but its still an incredibly well-researched book with so much previously-untold stories and info.

I picked up a copy of this book by Unitas's son and I've been reading it at work. His main focus seems to be on showing what J.U. was really like behind the mythologized version. Good so far.

At the draft this year they had hats based on flags for all the teams I believe, I remember really liking San Fransisco's. So maybe that information could help you on your search? Or maybe you already knew that.

It's the third in a trilogy. The others are here and here.

I did the illustrations too, and used some of the guys on the team as character models. (Boomstick, T.Y., and Da'Rick Rogers...though after he got booted, I went back and changed some of his facial details so he looked more like Vick Ballard.)
