You might want to try and get an interview with Brian Enos of Tempe, AZ. He's widely respected by many of the pistol competitors here on how to cultivate a state of mind that improves performance.

He was a national champion in '83 and '84 and became legendary in the sport not for simply shooting well, but for teaching people how to focus and prioritize their perceptions.

He wrote a book. The reviews might give you some idea of its subject and impact:

Ben Stoeger is a multi-time national champ in USPSA. I found his book to be invaluable. Starts with the fundamentals, and covers everything else needed to do well in USPSA. He writes plainly, with a no-BS, get-to-the-point approach.

Needs a little polishing on the ends, but it's a great squib rod for 9mm and up. I might cut mine down to 8-10" instead of a foot long, but you don't want to go too short and hit your barrel with a hammer either.

[Quick spit anti fog] (https://www.amazon.com/Jaws-Quick-Antifog-Spray-1-Ounce/dp/B00BMSGU9Y/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=anti+goggle+fog&qid=1568988647&s=gateway&sr=8-4)

This works pretty well, but not 100% if it is really humid. When it's my turn to shoot I sometimes turn my hat backwards to allow more air flow and this seems to help quite a bit.

Yeah, I know you don't have a P320, those are just a links to the stuff I bought as examples.

I'd be shocked if your md doesn't have a chrono.

That sounds like a gun/ammo combo that SHOULD work just fine, I just don't want to give you a false sense of security and have it come back to bite you on a match that you're likely paying hundreds of dollars to attend.

If you want your own little chrono/bullet weighing setup, you should be able to get all the 'stuff' (chrono, bullet puller, small scale with grains readout) for about $100 and be 'close enough' - I'm assuming you don't have the parts that crossover into reloading since you are using factory ammo. I'll provide some sample links below (keep in mind, none of the cheaper stuff is likely to be super reliable or accurate, but serve as a check against things being WAY off).

You might have trouble angling it right, but this might work: https://www.amazon.com/Universal-Mount-Smartphone-Operable-Device/dp/B00J6KO9O8

Or if you wear a hat, maybe this: https://www.amazon.com/Streamaroo-Universal-Hands-free-Smartphone-Solution/dp/B00K1LFME2

Never used either, so no clue how good they are.

Thanks. Someone mentioned that in person. I will focus on that.

One of these on a ball cap. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FQGTBRK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_E8rbBb5RDCPEP

I am think up a new way to mount one in my head. It was a little too heavy.

This is not an "issue", this is a realization. You can explore this with readers under safety glasses, or with stick-on reader lenses in your regular glasses.

(https://smile.amazon.com/OPTX-20-HydroTac-Reading-Glasses/dp/B002LZUXAO/ for example.)

It looks like you should be able to add the HDA drop/offset kit to the ALS, as long as it is a 3-hole pattern.

I have a IFAK which I've supplemented with a tourniquet and extra Israeli bandage, which I used to carry in my range bag, but have since just been leaving in my car, due to it's relative bulk.

Then, last month at the local comp, I sliced my thumb open on something or other, and … found that the kit was sorely lacking in a/ good adhesive bandages and more importantly b/ waterproof tape to make a shitty adhesive bandage work better for the rest of the match.

I know that ITS Tactical has some first-aid and trauma-focused EDC kits, but I might piece together an altoids-tin-sized one on my own.
