You asked simple questions, I'm giving simple answers:

  1. The RTX 2060, 16GB, 120mm Liquid Cooler, 500GB SSD, and 4TB Hard Drive is undoubtedly the best from those options. A liquid cooler is better than the Wraith*. You can also select the overclock option**.

  2. The ability of a computer to run those games smoothly and at high levels of details depends on your monitor resolution. HD 1080P should be no problem. If you have 3 4K monitors, that's a different story.

NOTE: You specified that money is no object. The above are best on that basis, not necessarily best in terms of value.

As for monitors, you have to decide what you want in it. You could have 3-4 small ones, 2-3 medium ones, 1-2 curved ones, or a giant TV sized one. An IPS panel is generally easiest on the eyes and looks good from any angle. OLED has the best color and performance by far. TN or VA is common in cheaper monitors, but can more easily have a higher refresh rate which can be good for gaming. Asus, Dell (includes Alienware), and LG will be my top recommendations. G-Sync is good for gaming. Going off assumptions, I'd say the LG 34UC89G-B because it has G-Sync and IPS, it's also big and curved. If money is no object, you might want to go with the Alienware OLED.

I will not make a recommendation for Mice as it is completely based off personal preference and how it fits in your hand. Mechanical Keyboards and RGB Backlights are commonly sought after for gaming. The Cherry brand is generally accepted as making good mechanical switches. They have various switches with varying levels of noise and actuation pressure - which again is a personal preference. Ideally you should try out Monitors, Keyboards, and Mice in a local store.

    * AMD has 3 Wraith coolers - the Wraith Stealth, Wraith Spire, and Wraith Max - a 120mm liquid cooler is better than all of them. Except for the Wraith Max which is OK, the other Wraith coolers are garbage. There's no shortage of posts here about users getting better performance after dumping Wraith coolers. According to this
(You have to scroll nearly all the way down) the Corsair H60 (120 mm liquid cooling) is 21-28 Celsius / 38-50 degrees Fahrenheit cooler than the Wraith Stealth causing the computer to run about 9% faster 3.7 ghz vs 3.4. Noctua is 10-22 degrees cooler than the Wraith Stealth. As it's not specified which of the Wraith Coolers it is, we have to assume that it's the worst.

** There is no correlation between an overclocked CPU and an unlocked CPU. An unlocked CPU can be slightly easier to overclock as it's multiplier can be raised independently of the system base clock.

Get an SSD. That is going to improve performance so much. It's honestly the best bang for your buck upgrade. You can also always move the SSD to a new desktop or future laptop as well so it's not money wasted.

I have personally put SSDs in older laptops for my self and family and we've all been happy with the results. It makes the computer fast as far as load times and daily tasks go. It's not going to speed up heavy CPU intensive tasks. But if you watch videos, browse the internet, do simple things like that, it's night and day.

Samsung 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B078DPCY3T/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_6OKBCbY64VS6V

This is one I've bought 2 of so far. Great performance for the money and plenty of storage. Old spin type HDDs are such a huge bottle neck. Especially in laptops where they put slow spin HDDs to conserve battery usage.

Step 2 would be ram upgrade, but it's not going to be as dramatic as the SSD upgrade. If you have 4gb of ram just leave it be. If you find a good deal on a 4gb stick for like $20 or less on Facebook market or something like that I'd upgrade it. I wouldn't put a whole lot of money into the computer. The only reason I recommend the SSD is because traditional HDDs are such a huge bottleneck that once lifted , makes even an i3 shine. And like I mentioned earlier that SSD you can use in future computers.

A 24-pin extender is a quick fix. https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-8-Inch-Power-Extension-ATX24POWEXT/dp/B000FL60AI. If you're going for performance and professional quality, I'd say I've never regretted my decision to invest in a Molex crimp tool like this: https://www.amazon.com/HT-225D-Cycle-Ratchet-Crimping-interchangeable/dp/B007JLN93S?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1. A 24-pin connector isn't a fun one to mess with, but being able to custom wire your case exactly as you need it comes with some real benefits, and there are a surprising number of options for optimizing wire management.

TL;DR An extender will do the job fine, just not optimally, but if you're feeling adventurous then get a Molex crimp tool to make all the wiring just as you want it.

I'd definitely go with a new computer lol.

If you want to go the laptop route, a Lenovo ThinkPad L420 might do. I am selling one for $125 (OBO). I believe it should be able to beat the Gateway. I can test whatever (free) games needed to make sure.

If you're thinking about a new laptop that has a little more umph, I'd maybe recommend an Acer Aspire 3. At just $270, you'll have a little left over for a good gaming mouse.

If you're willing to raise the budget to a hefty $400, the IOZ Tech Custom Gaming System will rock your world with a 3.5GHz Ryzen 2200G 12-Core Processor, 8GB RAM and a 240GB SSD, you'll be speeding around in GMOD in no time. It says you can roll with Apex Legends at frame rates as high as 30FPS.

If you want to raise the price well over $300 again, maybe this part list will work for/$450 if you're willing to assemble it yourself. Although this doesn't really seem much different where you couldn't just get this(listed above).

If I find anything better I'll let you know.

Hi! Personally I have a really similar laptop to that and it runs perfectly. The GPU is powerful enough to run GTA 5 on medium/high details. It is also not bulky and it's pretty portable, perfect for school https://www.amazon.com/Acer-SF315-52G-82TV-i7-8550U-NVIDIA-GeForce/dp/B07BMYJ269/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?keywords=acer+swift+3+mx150&qid=1566375690&s=gateway&sprefix=acer+swift+3+mx&sr=8-1

Here is a pretty good prebuilt for the price. It will crush some fortnite and should be decent at Siege. Also with a prebuilt you wanna buy from a company with good customer support as they will be the holders of the systems warranty.

FYI It is very easy to build your own PC. It might seem intimidating but its really rewarding and you get much more bang for your buck.

Here is the one that I use. It's a little larger than what you are looking for, but it still holds up for use as a work computer and a school computer, and I did some programming on it (though for your sake I hope you're better at programming than I am), and it holds up well. There are a couple of minor things that I would tell you. The vents are on the bottom, so that may be one thing you want to pay attention to when you are using it. The only other thing that I would mention is that the only coding I ever did on this laptop was Python for math. I don't know how that will translate for other programming languages.

Do you think this would be a better option?(and works for my laptop) I don’t mind buying both and trying.

Also I don’t think it’s a smart TV. It’s probably really old. I just found it on the street and it looks like it still works lol.

u/TheeRoman_TTv · 6 pointsr/computer

Its a great card for the price but it will run hot. I would recomend if possible getting a EVGA Feforce RTX 2060 super SC. It will run alot cooler by 10-20c . Heres the link if you need it. https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-GAMING-Backplate-08G-P4-3162-KR/dp/B07VM9Q9R8/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=evga%2Bgeforce%2Brtx%2B2060&qid=1572726466&sr=8-4&th=1

Here is the laptop :

https://www.fnac.com/PC-Portable-Asus-ROG-G702VM-GC074T-Gaming-17-3/a10025558/w-4

There is a USB-C port so I think it can work with the USB-C to HDMI.

Thanks for the idea, I didn't know it is possible to display via this.

Maybe something like that can works just fine?

Since I'm incredibly bored, I looked into a few power supplies on Amazon. if you don't mind could you check them out and suggest which one i should get? Again, thanks for the help previously.

Something like this Hdmi - VGA or HDMI - DVI hope this helped.

u/kittenwith2whips · 1 pointr/computer

you could remove the hard drive from the dead laptop and stick it in an external case, then plug it in the usb of your new laptop.

google "how to replace hard drive from (insert make and model here) watch the youtube video of the removal process, then stop the video,

then go to amazon for example and look for a external case, example following:

https://www.amazon.com/ORICO-External-Enclosure-Support-Tool-Free/dp/B01LY97QE8/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?keywords=hard+drive+enclosures&qid=1563035572&s=electronics&sr=1-2-spons&psc=1

you dont have to get that one, but make sure you match the drive, like if the drive was IDE or sata. and since by your words i think you might be in the uk, you can use whatever you have there besides amazon.

u/MK_Terry · 0 pointsr/computer

Wow I didn't realize SSDs have gotten so cheap.

u/ThePcSkrub · 1 pointr/computer

Yes, these are great systems to start with, however you are limited to small gpus. A low profile 1050ti would set you back about $150. Meaning your total cost would be around $340. My brother has a pc setup similar to this. You would replace the bracket with the low profile bracket that comes in the box with this one.  https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1050-TI-4GT/dp/B01N2W8MJ9/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1543459544&sr=1-2&keywords=low+profile+1050+ti

What type of laptops is your ordering? Do they have m.2? If so the above option doesn't look like it will work. I was unable to find a m.2 double dock that can clone directly to each other, so you'll need software like Acronis to do the task mentioned. You can simply clone the source machine that has been fully configured which will be #1 to m.2 #2 - #18.

I think this is will do the task.

It's not a mini HDMI it's mini displayport video connection options

mini displayport on amazon

HDMI to dvi

You will need a 3.5mm audio jack to stereo components (red and white)

Edit, forgot the TV didn't have HDMI, lol and I keep forgetting things, lol
