I would recommend zero light shades for the windows. Something like this. I have zero experience with this product, so you might want to do some research before you buy.

ok so it's probably not really effective at stopping very many of them.. and our entomologist from elsewhere in the thread would be angry... but these http://www.amazon.com/The-Amazing-Handheld-Bug-Zapper/dp/B00008GS96 are alot of morbid fun. bzzt bzzt.

I live in Redding and just picked fly fishing back up after a long hiatus after my father passed. Some spots I've checked out are the Mill River that flows from Trumbull to Fairfield. The Pequannic (sp) again near Trumbull. The Pootatuck out by Newtown. Sasco Brook by Westport. Not much luck yet.

I highly recommend https://www.amazon.com/Flyfishers-Guide-Connecticut-Ron-Merly/dp/1932098895/ref=mp_s_a_1_14?keywords=Ct+fly+fishing+book&qid=1567723139&s=gateway&sr=8-14

In all seriousness, drawing a comparison to "windmills" makes no sense at all.

Here are the facts.

  • It's a 24 x 7 operation. It's not just a casino, it's large regional bar. A study conducted commissioned by the state in 2009 found increases in DUI arrests and some horrific accidents.
  • The economics of casinos are trouble. Here's a good story that [summarizes some of it] (https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2014/08/a-good-way-to-wreck-a-local-economy-build-casinos/375691/). They tend to build casinos in resort areas, or in areas undergoing decline.
  • Casinos really are a threat to public health. You can have nice libertarian moment if you want, which is fine, but if you work in public health that's a luxury.

If you think casino opposition is BS, just NIMBY crap, fine. But don't compare it windmills. Defend casinos on their economics, public health, and DUI impact. Go ahead, make your case. I'm really interested why you think these are obviously a blessing from God.

I'm the same age as your Dad and there is no excuse to listen to the shit on the airwaves anymore. Especially when these things are ten dollars, and all new cars come with bluetooth.

It is time to ditch conservative economic beliefs. Cutting taxes helps to collapse the middle class, government programs help maintain and expand it. Read Capital in the Twenty-First Century. We have tried conservative and neoliberal economic theories and they are proven not to work. Foley is just the latest to try to push the same broken ideas and it will lead to a predictable end, the rich get richer while the middle class gets pushed downward. While Malloy is not very good, Foley will be terrible.

You should educate yourself about the Pequots before flinging insults, kid. Skip Hayward was white trash and not at all native, the non-whites in the group are mostly black but have some Narragansett blood. Genealogically speaking, they're not actually Pequots. The real Pequots were annihilated.

This is a good book on the topic, by the same guy who wrote "Little Pink House".

Amazon, Hulu, Netflix. We have a ClearStream Antenna mounted on the roof and get all the local stations fine (CBS is occasionally iffy).
