That's certainly one option. There are a TON of ways that you could do it. 2-way splitters would work too - that'll reduce the number of Commander Pros (CoPros) and make management easier. Depending on your fan configuration, you may also want to consider something like this Silverstone PWM Fan hub - it has its own power supply and allows you to control 8 fans as one. I have used one of these with a CoPro and it worked just fine. For lighting control - you'll need fan hubs; there's no way around that. The multipacks of the HDs come with a Fan Hub and a push-button controller - not a Lighting Node Pro (NoPro). That may drive you to get a second CoPro (for the additional lighting channels) or get some strips (they come with the NoPro). How you configure them is going to revolve around how you want the effects to work. For example - it sounds like you'll have 16 fans on the front, right? That's 3 fan hubs, minimum. But let's think about that ... each radiator will have 4 in front and 4 in back. That gives you 4 logical groups of 4 fans each. So that you can have a super-cool light show, you might well want to use 4 fan hubs with 4 fans each. Then, you can use a Fan Hub Splitter to sync the 2 hubs in the front with each other and the 2 hubs in the back with each other.

That would give you 4 channels and control over 16 fans from a single Commander Pro. Now, that's just the front panel but on the 1000D, that's the real beastie.

Some other tips - I used a label maker to label each fan hub and NoPro in my system (I have 3 Fan Hubs and 2 NoPros). I find it super helpful. Second - I use colored electrical tape to mark the fans. I'll put one little piece on an unobtrusive part of the fan and then wrap each end (both the RGB and the fan speed) with a piece of the same color. Again, super-helpful.

EDIT: Here's a link to the multicolor electrical tape that I bought. For the number of fans that you'll have, you might use 2 colors for some of the fans.

A lot of people are going to get all "definitely not you dumb shit" on this but you are pretty OK.

While I would caution against the abuse that is the dishwasher, if you pull off all your keys you can just spray/wipe/wash the whole keyboard clean gently. Dry it all you can by hand and then put it in container with one of these bad boys, I mean the whole pack of 50, and wait a good 5 days for it to dry out.

The radiator isn't a good idea, you don't want to steam out the moisture. If moisture gets into small areas then gets heated up it risks building up pressure and cracking things. Stick to just dry air.

Disclaimer: I am not Corsair. I don't speak for them. This is definitely outside of warranty. THIS should be the nuclear option, dishwasher is just... please don't ever again.

I have had no issues hooking up my LL120's in the 280x case using Y-splitters for fan power. The RGB cables from each fan go into the RGB hub box, as usual (then from the hub box into the included lighting node in the 280x). The fans are 4-pin so be sure to get 4-pin splitters, originally I had some that were 4-pin on one end and 3-pin on the other and needed new ones.

If you do need another USB header, I found a cheaper USB splitter on Amazon that works very well and is far cheaper than the NZXT hub (though the NZXT hub is a lot more flexible).

In my 280x build, I have a H100i as exhaust; the fans it came with are connected to the pump itself for both power and RGB. The included LL120's in front and on bottom are all connected to the included hardware in the 280x (RGB hub and then into port #1 on the lighting node pro). The fans are powered off motherboard fan headers with Y-splitters, two per header. This means I only get RPM reports for one fan (the other is just pass-through power) but since the fans are identical it's not a big issue. The AIO is hooked up to the AIO fan header. I have one of those USB splitters linked to to connect both the H100i and the lighting node to a single USB 2 internal header. No issues at all with this setup.

I also have a lighting node pro expansion kit (RGB strips) in there hooked up to the 280x's native lighting node on port #2.

You could opt for a Commander pro, which is nice because it breaks out every fan's RPM separately, but it's a bit pricey if you have enough fan headers on your motherboard, and it sounds like you can get by without it.

I used these splitters from Amazon but only because I was in a hurry and they were same-day delivery. They're kind of short to pass through the top opening in the 280x, but they just barely reached. If your fan headers are on the side of the motherboard they're probably fine.

I have the same case, fans and aio. Temps are awesome! I actually don't have the commander pro so mine is a rat's nest with the two separate hubs that came with the fans. I did use this sata powered fan splitter which made my life a little easier.

Yeah as long as you get a higher end x470 motherboard you'll be good to go. I believe there's already bios updates to support the 3000s for some motherboards so do a bit of Googling to find one already confirmed to have support.

Also like one other comment said, go for 3200 ram especially on AMD since it makes a big fps difference in games. This is a good deal for example: https://www.amazon.com/CORSAIR-Vengeance-3200MHz-Desktop-Memory/dp/B07D1XCKWW/

You can get a fan hub or splitter for pretty cheap. I got this hub which has 8 headers for $15. Works great and comes with adhesive to stick it wherever works best for the back compartment of your case.

u/petascale · 1 pointr/Corsair

I would go with one commander pro and a PWM y-splitter (example), so you run two of the fans off the same header.

You could also use any powered PWM fan hub (example) and plug it into the PSU (for power) and motherboard (for fan control), if the PSU has a spare molex- or SATA power connector and the mobo has a spare fan header. You can't use iCue to control fan speeds here; instead you'll use BIOS, or the motherboard fan control software, or third-party software like SpeedFan.

That's for controlling fan speed, assuming you know how to set up the RGB part.

I've got the same radiator in my 460x right now- yeah the clearance is tight, but it isn't unreasonable. What type of RAM are you using? Unless it has a really tall heatsink I'd say you're probably fine. I'll upload a picture in a bit of my clearance if you'd like. For reference, I'm running this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0134EW7G8/

In terms of using HD120s with the radiator, in terms of size I'd say you can. I don't see why connector compatibility would be an issue either, since the fans have one connection for the fan current and one for the lighting controller.

As for the fan controller, I think the HD can use the RGB controller but I'm not positive on that. I use the included RGB front fans and just added one to the rear of the case, using the plain black fans that came with the radiator for that duty. It would be too bright for my preference with 6 of them so I stuck with 4.

A nice little extra "touch" to the K95 Plat is the PBT Double-Shot keycaps. They feel amazing, and almost make it a deeper sound when keys are pressed.

The texture of the keys make the experience of the keyboard even more over the top than delivered right out of the box.

u/Jakeramsay007 · 1 pointr/Corsair

Yeah it definitely doesn't have that unfortunately. I've ordered this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B072K7PBZG from amazon, and it seems like it should be compatible to power on the LEDs and fans.

u/Tarak2818 · 1 pointr/Corsair

Yeah it’s the alt keys, windows key, space bar, and the page key (Idk what it’s called). They have caps but you have to sand them down in order for them to fit. The space bar key won’t fit at all.

Here are the keys

They are ok. I actually just removed two LL140s from pull on a my rad because they just made too much noise compared to my Noctua Reduxs.

If you want RGB and great quiet fans I might suggest EK or Noctua Redux + Halo Digital RGB frames from Phanteks

That’s odd. My solution would be to get this splitter. I have this splitter myself with no complains. Obviously no software required and works perfectly as expected. Not sure why the USB on your commander pro isn’t functioning, but this can be the only solution I can provide. Others may have different solutions. You could always try submitting an RMA or calling Corsair support over the phone.

u/x_liferuiner · 2 pointsr/Corsair

You may find this a little more suitable. It's not a full length but it is a tad more ergonomic. I bought it for the same reason you mentioned though I just use no wrist wrest now. There is also this which doesn't attach to the keyboard itself but it still a pretty comfortable option. I've also used these and if I had choose between the stock wrist wrest, the "FPS" wrest, or the foam one, I'd probably choose the foam.

u/REIGNx777 · 1 pointr/Corsair

If you're open to a soft wrist pad as an alternative (well, it's not squishy-soft, it's actually quite firm), check out the Grifiti ones on Amazon. They've got a few different sizes. I love mine

I have these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0796TLP4S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I only got them to test and see how the bluetooth and music mode works since they have a mic attached. No bandwidth issues and the brightness can be controlled, but I do like the LS100 since I would be able to sync with entire build which is corsair

Just checked this morning on amazon, still running at $18.

u/Rucati · 1 pointr/Corsair

Yup, there's one used one on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-2x4GB-Desktop-Memory/dp/B004CRSM52 for $600... Newegg just says out of stock, seems like it's no longer in production which kind of sucks and doesn't make much sense since all the other corsair vengeance's are going strong.
