Ok, but none of that is what I said was false. This is the comment that I replied to:

> Any 10pc set you buy for $140 won't be nearly the quality of a $60 pot.

> ...Not that spending that much on a stock pot would get you much value.

That is flagrantly incorrect.

And while I don't disagree that most people don't really need all those different pieces, the discount in the set is well worth buying the set, nonetheless. It is still good enough value to justify spending $140-$180 on the set.

> Sure, if you were actually planning to buy a 2,3, and 4 qt saucepan AND a 4.5 qt casserole pan along with a 5 qt deep saute pan AND you wanted all of those to be anodized aluminum

You are setting up a really false standard here. You don't need to want ALL those pieces in HA aluminum, you only need to want enough of them to make it cost effective.

That said, we have already established that a comparable stock pot alone will cost ~1/2 the total cost. And HA Non-stick is an excellent choice for a stock pot, In the long run, many people would prefer an enameled cast iron Dutch Oven, good ones tend to be expensive, so it not something most people need right away. This one will get them years of use in the meantime. So the stock pot alone is $90 of the $180.

I think most kitchens will benefit from a non-stick deep skillet or everyday pan. I know it is probably my 3rd most used pan after a lodge 12" skillet and a sauce pan. A Calphalon deep skillet is $65.

So after buying only two pans, we have spent $155 of the $180 cost of that set. One sauce pan or omelette pan will easily push you past the remaining cost of the kit.

So yeah, in the long run, anyone buying one of these sets will want to add a few additional pieces like a cast iron skillet or dutch oven. But for most people, this is an excellent way to get started.

I wouldn't do OLED over 65. Price point makes the price/value ratio drop like a rock. I know it's weird, but consider a projector once you're thinking $2500 and up. If your space is somewhere you can control light pretty well, you can have a 150" screen for 300 bucks and a decent projector for $750!

If you wanna get into the early stages of researching projectors, definitely check out Wirecutter. Their TV review articles are stellar too.

As for Costco, I'd honestly say you can't go wrong with LG at the large sizes, but depending on how picky you are about visuals, you might not want to go with "entry level" (clumsy term, but the quickest) ones like the Samsung 6/7 series. I also don't know that Vizio is that unreliable of a brand. With the warranty, you practically don't have to worry about it, but if you're swearing them off, you've probably got good reasons.

I'd start with checking out the cheapest LGs at the size you like at your local warehouse. If you want to get really bold, ask for a remote so you can poke around the settings menu and see what the TV can do when it isn't in stupid, bright, saturated, overblown "Standard" or "Dynamic" mode. But keep in mind, for the price you'll spend on an 82 inch TV (they don't carry 80s), you could do a mid to high-end projector and make it as big as you want. Just something to think about! Does that help at all?

I'd say take a look at these: https://www.amazon.com/Knee-Boots-Size-Black-Plain/dp/B00PSIP6HG/ref=sr_1_9?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1506019989&sr=1-9&nodeID=7141123011&psd=1&keywords=norcross+pvc+boot

There might not be a perfect solution for you, but the ratings seem pretty good, and I'm hoping these can get you through till better hazard mitigations are in place. Also US made.

That said, I'm not a costco insider. Does your employer have an EHS team? At my work, another large company, we've got a line we can raise the flag on areas of concern.

Because it's a lot easier and cheaper to get anti-skid mats down than it is to take care of an injury/lost-work. On my restaurant days, I took a slip and fall. Little hip soreness afterwards, and I was fine. But it was still a reportable accident.

Went to my local store and they found out I had ordered them online but the store also carried them for $12.99 and then went on clearence for $7.00! Item 1075102 German made. I use them for my whiskey drinks and they are of great quality. Did a search online and found them in Amazon for $21.99, still a great deal.

Thanks DS for the tip...

They are a much better deal than what I have been buying from Trader Joe's and Bath and Body Works. The Orange Blossom scent is natural , smells like real orange blossoms, not just "citrus." Packaging is beautiful...would make a good gift. Check out the price for one on amazon

The four pack that Costco offers for $9.99 is $39 on amazon.

u/eeeeeesh · 2 pointsr/Costco

I didn't buy that one - I bought the lifefitenss one they were selling for a couple hundred dollars more. Looks like this: https://shop.lifefitness.com/row-hx-trainer

If you look at them, they are basically the same. I am old-school and preferred the look of the natural wood versus the red frame. Very pleased with it - it really does give me a good work out (it kicks my butt). And, when I am done, it stands straight up in the air and doesn't take up much room

With that being said, EVERYONE says the gold standard when it comes to rowers is the Concept2. I didn't like the way it looked, how much space it takes up, the fan versus water, etc - so keep that in mind

My exact experience too, although thankfully I bought 2 pairs. They are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn! Thankfully you can still buy them on Amazon (and I did buy one more pair) for about the same price ($5 more.)

Izod Men's performance stretch straight fit flat front chino pant.

Amazon: QN82Q6FNAFXZA

Costco: QN82Q65FNBXZA

Amazon one says Q6F, Costco one is Q65F. Not sure what the difference is. Aside from any spec differences (if any exist) you'd just be considering the value of buying it from Costco - 90 day return, second year warranty, Concierge support. Costco one also comes with SquareTrade for free, which would be $192 on Amazon. Up to you I guess if that adds up to $500.

Also I'm seeing that Amazon only has one available at that price from that specific seller. As soon as that one unit is gone it goes right back up to match the Costco price.

AMAZON is eating away a chunk of my would-be-purchases for Costco now a day. I earn about $300-$350 in cash back a year from Costco/Citi.

I got a year membership from Sam's club for $25 (Groupon deal) but i will not be renewing it.. I bought the membership mainly for this product but now it's the cheapest on Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/Glucerna-Shake-Manage-Homemade-Vanilla/dp/B000NYSNVQ

My cousin's yearly expenses for his business is usually around six-figure number. He is spending more of his money on Amazon as well -- they are offering lower price + save and subscribe (additional 15% saving) + next day shipping! It's hard to beat when you need something in bulk, fast and do not want to wait in line.

so if you have each member spending $500+ on Amazon instead of Costco..it will add up..

My store used to have the trough /u/caecus mentioned but we switched to a new type of steel so there was no place for the trough.

Honest suggestion? Get with your sup and have them move all the repeater boards to the center of each aisle. If the cat 5 cables don't reach to the panel there you'll need to convince them that running new cat 5 cable (and leaving a few feet of slack on each end) is cheaper than having an entire department waste hours of their time, and is cheaper than a whole box of new 25' hdmi cables.

Then convince someone (I wound up buying it for the department) to buy THESE and make sure everyone doesn't just cut them open.

In a trough or under the steel ideally you'll want to separate the power cables and hdmi cables into separate bundles but TV's move often enough that it won't be very practical.

Sauce: My warehouse/sup didn't even bother to listen and bought $500+ in cables instead (Sapphire corporate account). Don't be like us.

Protip: Replace the vga adapter (edit:for the computer monitors) with a cheap HDMI splitter

I wondered if that stuff worked. Figured it didn't, since even RoundUp and RoundUp For Lawns barely put a dent in my half of my weeds, even the damn dandilions.

If you're looking for a good product for lawn weeds, this is the best I've ever used by far: Bonide Chemical 310 Weed Beater Ultra Concentrate https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009ATACVO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_MrW-AbJNTB4FQ You might be able to find it locally for the same price. My local places only carry the 16oz for $27, so the 32 oz is much better deal. I know, I know, same company, but it works. They're brown around the edges by the next day and start looking ill the same day. Plus you can spray it down to like 45° now.

The only reason I used RU for Lawns was because I got it on clearance at Walmart last year for $10 and $3, and figured it'd be good enough for at least dandilions. Nope. Those suckers only looked a little limp for a couple days before going right back to blooming.

If your interested in purchasing one of the smaller cheaper tv’s it’s worth noting that the 4 year square trade plan from amazon is a better value than the Costco 35 dollar 3 year plan.

They were blue.

I ended up switching to reusable incontinence pads for humans that could be washed in the washing machine as disposables were too costly in the end.

I moved and it's better/safer to take him outside more often so we don't use anything like that anymore, though.

Edit: These are the human version I'd switched to.

Edit 2: I also had switched to the human ones because I sometimes feed messy food/treats and it made it easier for him to have a dedicated place to eat it on. So a couple were dedicated only for potty and the rest for other stuff. Worked really well for us.

u/DomesticSlacker · 1 pointr/Costco

My drive is an hour away (or 1.25 if I go to my second closest). These totes are insulated and keep them warm during the trip home. I grab them as my last item on the way out right after my freezer run. I have this tote, but Costco was selling a nice brown option in store the other day for around $10.
