I also don't think a person's value is tied up in what kind of work they do or their level of competence. I would bet most of our lower-skilled workers are less presumptuous than you.

Communism is an ideal more than a practical goal. News flash: most of the top 0.1% haven't worked for their wealth, but own as much as most of the rest of us put together. Many of them inherit it. Many of them made it by generating profits but not being equitible not being equitable with profits. Many made it with ruthlessness and cronyism, like Comcast or Bell. Many made wealth with financial shenanigans like hedge funds or or owning real estate which isn't useful work. Some of them actually did create significant contributions, like the pioneers of the industrial or digital revolutions. But how much is enough until you are selfishly hoarding?

In essence, communism is a global, stateless utopia - not a bread line. Communism is when we have true democracy in the workplace. I personally think we should be moving towards a concept some call post-capitalism. This is a world where we automate away as much necessary labor (farming, production) as possible. That is going to centralize wealth even more, so we need to redistribute that with a basic, living income and guaranteed basics like housing, medical care, or transportation. We could even simplify away programs like food stamps and Obamaphones with basic income. If you do work or come up with some great initiative in your vast amount of free time, you get extra benefits. Automation isn't there yet, but it's coming soon enough. We've already been automating like crazy, but economic policy and social welfare haven't kept pace. We should be working shorter hours as we make technological progress, not longer. We should be making more money, not less.

Hey everyone.

For sale today I have this gorgeous faux-vintage coffee table. It’s got a stained yellow pine top with wrought iron wire bottoms. The legs are round footed making it perfect for display (or use) on rugs or carpets. Under the plane is a great, wide undercarriage for storing board games. The open construction really allows the table to open up, and the way the iron plays with the light... it’s really something special. Pictures don’t do it justice, you really got to see this bad boy in the flesh (metal (wood)).

The top is a little want for wear, and could do with a nice sanding, but I know some prefer the aged look. Personally I like a little patina on my coffee tables.

When you learn the history of ethics, Christianity, political philosophy, and knowledge you will learn the actual legacy of western civilization and realize it has nothing to do with race, even though the philosophers who have advanced all the things I mentioned in the western world were generally white due to their privileged status in western civilization over the span of 2000+ years(a fact you want to blindly dismiss or are offended by for some odd reason).

I hope you will take this comment seriously, resist your temptation to confirmation bias your views and resist your temptation to look away and look into this book I recommended. This book I recommended will unequivocally change your mind and literally teach you how to think accurately, as that is the true subject of it. A detailed history of philosophy that shows its gradual development and advancement.

I highly recommend Steve Sailer's blog. I often disagree with him, but he consistently writes interesting, readable pieces (including many on race and IQ, genetics, etc) and dissects the bias in Western media. He's a good source to check often. Also, I highly recommend reading the comments on there, there is consistently high quality discussion on each topic (I don't post there so I'm not tooting my own horn here).

He writes on a lot of different topics, some of which will undoubtedly be irrelevant/boring to you, so be sure to use the "Topics/Categories" filter to browse whatever interests you.

It's dense reading, and out of fashion with a lot of the modern Right, but it has some interesting ideas that are pretty far out of the mainstream.

I get the sense you're from Europe maybe? Of course the above stuff is mostly focused on American society and politics, I don't know any good European sources.

That's off the top of my head, there's lots of other stuff out there I guess. Actual "books" are hard to find though because the publishing industry does not look favorably on these sorts of ideas.

ok I just spent the last hour writing an extremely comprehensive reply and then accidentally pressed f12 and messed up my browser and lost everything so let me try to sum up what i was going to say. you should try and find a buddy that also shoots and then have him spot you in between shots so basically you take one shot and he/she calls the hit and then they take a shot and you call the hit, thats how i practice for competitions. as for your fundamentals i assume you mean positioning and that kinda stuff so ill list off some things people mess up all the time that make a huge difference.

1. are you checking your natural point of aim on a shot to shot basis? at longer ranges if your NPA is off at all you will miss so its very important.
   
   
2. are you squeezing you trigger with the center of your finger pad? squeezing with your finger tip or too far towards your first joint will cause you to pull left or right which is not good.
   
   
3. are you sure you are squeezing and not pulling? you want the shot to almost be a surprise because if you know when its going to occur your brain will subconsciously force your body to react in order to counter the force of the rifle. the best why to out train this is by repeating a certain word in your head or by singing a song to distract yourself (ie. fire fire fire fire shot follow through.) it sounds ridiculous but it works well.
   
   
4. are you maintaining proper follow though? I struggled with this one for years but basically you just need to not move out of the position for a few seconds after the shot. simple in theory but its hard to break the habit if you have already developed it.
   
   
5. do you shoot with both eyes open? shooting with both eyes open will reduce the strain on the eye you use to aim which helps avoid a bunch of different issues like ocular migraines, headaches and ghost vision. I recommend buying or making a blinder that you can attach to your hat or scope for this one as they are cheap and it makes a world of difference.
   
   
6. do you have a breathing cycle? if not you should try mine (deep breath, shallow breath, shot, deep breath, follow though, repeat.) My breathing cycle my not work for you so you should try experimenting with different cycles. this is important so that you can maintain a steady heart rate, it also helps avoid ghost vision that you would otherwise develop from lack of oxygen and the light reflecting off your target. if you want to take this one step further you can practice shooting in between heartbeats which ensures 100% consistency on your end. the best way to practice this is to put a dot on the wall in your house and practice for a 20-30 minutes everyday. there is also tools out there that can aid you in dry training such as the SCATT
   
   
7. The last big one is mental training and its far to broad a topic for me to cover in 10000 characters but basically you want to balance your conscious mind, your subconscious mind and your ego a very good book covering this and specifically targeting the shooting sport would be With Winning in Mind
   
   Some of the things i listed here are very time consuming and expensive so its up to you to decide how far you want to take this but I guarantee that all of these will help you. if you need clarification on anything or if I just missed something you need covered feel free to ask.

I agree that many are loud in good times, if you do something good it shouldn't be for popularity but for genuine good. But I also don't see the point of having to be loud every time something bad happens. There usually are press releases by orgs such as CAIR, ICNA, ISNA. Or if you go to well known American scholars' Facebook pages such as Omar Suleiman, Yasir Qadhi, they generally have a status regarding attacks. But I don't believe I have to go out of my way to openly condemn it, though I do and if someone asked me I would answer.
