If you have PS+ and a USB key you could save your regular character on the cloud storage, and your seasonal on the USB. You would want to make sure auto uploading of saves for Diablo 3 is disabled (you can set this per game so you can stop it for D3 but have it still auto upload for everything else).

It would require some micromanagement. You'd have to move the save manually at the end of your session, then overwrite the system save when you want to switch.

A major concern seems to be Paragon Points. These are not tied to your battlenet account on PS4. If you upload your regular dude to the cloud, then wipe your save, you'll be back at 0 Paragon.

Here is a 1GB USB stick for seven dollars that is Prime eligible. www.amazon.com/KEXIN-Memory-Swivel-Multiple-Colors/dp/B00OIQDUFY

Well, his reply has some data to back his claim up and you have anecdotal evidence.

Which in academia has more weight? A study, even if flawed, or an opinion with absolutely no evidence?

I want to believe you, for the record. I want to go and switch my 2TB SSHD for an equally sized and cost effective SSD. But that doesn't exist.

I can get a [2TB SSHD] (https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-FireCuda-2-5-Inch-Notebooks-ST2000LX001/dp/B01M1NHCZT/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502302351&sr=8-1&keywords=2TB+SSHD+FireCuda) for $89.99 or a [2TB SSD] (https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=2TB+SSD) for $500+.

That's strike 1 against a SSD.

And even if the SSD is exponentially faster than a SSHD, you're not going to notice much difference with the PS4 Pro. I can already get Diablo 3 up, running, and into a rift in a matter of seconds. Shaving a second off that isn't worth the cost to storage ratio.

Plus, personally, I'm playing one game over and over until I'm done with it. I'm not going from Diablo 3 to Destiny to Call of Duty in one day. I'm picking one, I'm sticking to it, and the cached times work perfectly fine for that.

So if someone doesn't mind spending more than the console itself then sure, go with an SSD. Or if you have one laying around the house. But if a person is purchasing one, new, for the PS4 Pro and want a lot of storage and faster load times? SSHD makes way more sense.

switch on elective mode in the game settings and make it the r1 button on the vita... then switch back when on your console.

Edit: also get these for 6 bux, makes the grip a bit better :

Given that the only internal bay is taken up by my ssd, I don't have a choice, it's never been a problem. I use a Pro, so the drive is tucked away in the back usng that usb port. I don't see the exact model I ordered any more, but this is a very similar case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LS31KQG
