Legs are from Amazon because the angles Capita legs are expensive in the US.

It works just like any other MIDI controller, so yeah, it'll work fine in Ableton. The jog wheels work great for video editing in Premiere. All this thing does is send commands; nothing's done internally. Therefore you can reprogram every button and knob as you see fit (unless of course you use the bundled software, an old-ass version of VDJ that was built specifically for this controller. I didn't even bother installing it).

The build quality isn't very solid on this thing, though (read my review here). I've had mine for three years now and it's doing ok mainly because I baby it (one of the knobs does have a bit of a wobble to it, though), but one drop landing on a knob and it's fucked. So if you get one, keep the lid on it anytime you're more than a meter away from it.

With that being said, unless you're as broke as me, I highly recommend you save up an extra $150ish and go with the DJControl Steel instead.

That's brilliant about the 2x2, rack, and table top. I've had a hell of a time trying to find some kind of perfect record/DJ unit & audio rack to hold a couple receivers/graphic equalizers I've collected over the years. What I have in my mind's eye does not exist. I basically went with this solid night stand from Amazon that gets the job done and sits next to a expedit 4x2 w/ 2 MK5s and a mixer on top. I can't find a pic at the moment. :(

That's a nice setup.

Seems like the mic stand gets in the way, and would be a pain in the ass to adjust. What about installing a flange in the desk, then attaching a mic boom to it?

Edit: And maybe adding some decoupling risers to those monitors, and a vertical support block to that hutch so the center doesn't sag...
