It's really complicated, impossible to summarise, really depends on all kinds of variables - frequency of use, and dosage being the most important. It's crazy but I was quite disciplined and never used too much, still I went through all kinds of psychological stuff. Amphetamine is not to be taken lightly! Wow this is one of the few times I can remember that a vendor has admitted to mucking up. You even describe your product nicely instead of just saying "microbeads" which says a lot. Technically "grainy sand" could be construed as "microbeads". Props to you for being very descriptive. I would hop on Amazon now and order a big-ish MBB with next day shipping. You can seal it with literally anything hot. Iron, warm knife, whatever. Throw the vac sealed ounce in there, seal it up, and wipe down the outside with rubbing alcohol or vodka.

Bit excessive maybe, but it would be worth the peace of mind for me. Your call. At the very least, double or triple vac sealing it should hold the odor in for long enough.

Funny enough, that method the Dutch chemist used was outlined in Strike's book Total Synthesis II, published in 1998. It's "Method #12" iirc. It was developed starting in 1938 and a patent filed for in the early-mid 1940's.
