I have arthritis symptoms and pick. The gloves help me with both. They make my hands feel better and provide enough sensory stimulus that I can easily focus on that sensation as a soothing self calming tool. And they make my hands feel good enough that it's a general positive sensation which helps alot with the urge to pick. They keep my hands warm too.
These one don't inhibit my movement, I'm a pharmacy technician and use my hands constantly with a lot of typing and fine movements.
OP my thumbs look just like that. I got these finger covers and they are pretty nice. Much better than the latex tiny condom looking ones from the drug store, and way more comfortable. I’ll share a link at the bottom, these keep me from scratching my fingers to bits and biting.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this! Here are a few products that have greatly helped me, and I hope will do some good for you. They’re relatively cheap on Amazon and at makeup stores like Sephora.
I use these dots here. They’ve helped me out a lot. When I have a new pimple, I put one of the dots on, and it protects it so I do not pick and it will heal much faster.
I had a bunch of scars on my face from picking, but my dermatologist recommended that I use Azelaic Acid. I’ve put on a little of this cream every night for the past few weeks and my scars are almost gone.
Remember to moisturize, and to make sure your cuts do not become infected! You can get through this.
I got these with the bonus that they hang over my mirror so I can’t see into it as much, but honestly any kind of external lamp or string lights works!

I just posted this the other day in skinpicking sub. I’m on day 6.
So it is day 4 no picking and out of desperation I went to the drugstore and bought some clear medical/surgical tape. I wrapped the tops of my middle and pointer fingers on both hands (once over the top and again around that). So far it is helping. I also bought these little finger condom-type things from Amazon, so now i have those on, too. I can actually type with both the tape and the lil condoms so it isn’t inhibiting my work. The tape can also come off but takes me a few moments of pulling and tearing, which so far is long enough to deter me from mindless picking. Just figured I would pass it along if anyone else maybe finds it helpful for them.
