I'm not claiming it is the best when really letting out the sweat, but when I'm at a bar or a show for 2-6 hours it holds up just enough. I still sweat through it, but it keeps me from having thst definitive BO smell and more of an earthy, natural aroma.

The best and weirdest response so far was post uh... engagement in bed, I like to spoon and bask for a while while muscles are still twitching and feel nice, and my female partner, instead of spooning up to my side and lying with her head against my chest where I beckoned her, she put her face directly against my armpit and deeply inhaled. She did this little wiggle and settled against me in this super satisfying, sexy way that made me feel so accepted and fulfilled. It was easily one of the best aftersex baskings I've ever had. It made me feel so sexy and special.

Edit: syntax mistake

Volunteer Fire Fighter and Career Systems Engineer here:

  1. Spray the inside of that box with a fire resistant spray. Flame Stop II is a good water based spray on that drys clear and chemically bonds to the wood, which is much better than pressure treating. There is also some spray on amazon you can use, but I've never tried it before. Reviews look promising though: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003M8G39E/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_1?pf_rd_p=1944687642&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B002TKLD14&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1X061QM3S972YR6MYRD5
Make sure to hit the area's that you put metal into wood, since those area's could become potential hotspots.

  2. You NEED to do something about the cooling situation in that box. You may not see issues now, but computer parts don't like excessive heat and will break down over time. That enclosure will trap excessive heat.
What I would suggest doing for an effective cooling system is installing an AC Infinity Airplate. http://www.amazon.com/AC-Infinity-AIRPLATE-Thermostat-Cabinets/dp/B00QFWWZQO
It's affordable, comes with a slick looking lcd interface, and has detachable metal guards that you can stain or rust to your hearts contempt to keep that vintage look. If the one duel fan panel isn't enough you can get another single fan and guard for like $20 bucks and add it into the existing controller.

  3. Where do you hook your VGA, aux, network, usb, ect up too? I don't see access points for those ports.

I was dinking around on her here and that made me laugh out loud. I never really thought about this before. Honest. You just blew my mind...like a 18 year old taking their first philosophy class.

I'm a fire ecologist who grew up in the true middle of nowhere on a ranch. I love welding, but I'm not that good at it. My dad is. I also LOVE glassblowing. I learned how to do it during my masters and took to it like a duck in water. I'll never get to do it again as it's too expensive (like $80 an hour). I'm too much of a tight ass. I'm in my early 30's.

I pretty much light shit on fire for work and fun. I'm a complete pyro. One of my proudest achievements is a 10,000 acre prescribed burn I planned and was in charge of. This spring, my girlfriend bought me this for my birthday. I wanted it to light cedars on fire. Plus I can melt a beer can in seconds.

https://www.amazon.com/Red-Dragon-VT-3-30-Propane/dp/B00004Z2FQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1498565976&sr=8-3&keywords=red+dragon+torch

My brother bought me a JATO rocket for the same birthday.

I don't think I could be more of pyro if I tried. I never realized this. No one ever pointed this out to me...

I just spent 5k getting 3 phase power into a shed my dad owns. Why? Because I bought a super nice and fancy plasma cutter at an auction. I didn't need it. My dad didn't need it. It was just cheap and awesome. Plus I wanted to be able to run a good welder in that shop.

My masters is literally about plant responses to lighting shit on fire after it got chainsawed.

There is a video of me starting a campfire with 5 gallons of white gas. It was zesty.

Random person...you just gave me an existential crisis. My name is probably on federal watchlists. Hello government worker! I never realized I was a pyro before.....

So, grilling food imparts heat from a constant fuel source to a food product via 3 important methods: convection, conduction, and radiation. Grilling is unique in that it uses 3 methods, whereas other cooking methods typically use 1 or 2.

  1. The food is placed on the grill and the lid is put on. This is convection: the literal transfer of heat from the charcoal to the food, due to air molecules being heated around the food. An oven uses this process as well.

  2. The food touches a hot metal grill grate. This is conduction: the literal transfer of heat from a hot surface to the food. Your stove and a hot frying pan will use this method.

  3. The heat literally strikes the food constantly due to the excessive release of energy generated by charcoal. This is radiation: the emitted transfer of energy molecules from coal to food due to close proximity. Your microwave uses this to heat food at higher (but safer) radiation levels, but feeling the heat from a bonfire on a cold day would also be an example of this method.

    (Sources: Web 1,2,3, also Book)

The above picture is spinning the meat fast enough that you can see flames rising from the charcoals. That's... not a good thing. The meat isn't sitting above the heat long enough to receive any radiation before being moved and is moving so fast that it is generating wind. Ever run past a bonfire? Did it make you feel a lasting warmth when you did? No. The air around the fire is being lowered in temperature by this contraption, making food take longer to cook. Like a lot longer. So that's radiation gone.

Moving that fast and generating enough heat to make the grill frame hot enough for conduction would require it sitting there a long, long time. But the gyroscope effect of the grill grate causes all the heat to be concentrated towards the center while all the other meat is rotated around. So any meat in the middle will be cooked much more thoroughly than the rest. So conduction is possible in the middle, but the fringe won't get as much heat, and some parts of the edge could be more cooked than others, depending on (I'm assuming) the random movements of the gyroscope.

That leaves convection. Now, convection is possible for any appropriate length of time and heat... on a flat surface. This gizmo is spinning the shit out of that meat and the food isn't always a close distance to the heat source. When you set up a grill in your backyard, you set the food on a flat surface and it gets some quality time really close to the heat- literally, like inches. Good grillmasters have more than one heat source in their grills by pushing the charcoals to one side and switching their food between the two heat zones whenever they need to change the temperature. It's called the two-zone method and it'll change the game in your backyard grilling. Anyway that's a massive temperature change and we're talking inches here, and this device puts the food a solid foot or two away from the heat at random times.

Chicken needs an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit to be considered safe for consumption. On a standard grill this is easily and efficiently achieved without sacrificing any specific desires by the grillmaster to have it cook slower or faster, or to have it be more or less tender due to the time taken to cook it.

This device would fail to be more efficient, would fail to use the advantages that a charcoal grill offers in the first place, and would fail to offer a consistent, manageable temperature for all parts of the food placed in it.

tl;dr, The chicken is probably raw on the inside.

Sounds like a nightmare. My cat would shred me and there would be wax everywhere. I would suggest buying a little bit of clay to make an impression of the paw print. There are a bunch of kits on amazon but I thought this one was adorable :)

I've put a cheap travel toothbrush in my drill before to clean wire racks before. If you got a nylon brush for your drill I imagine it would work pretty well. Like these

Lol I guess I just care a lot more about my sound then most people... regardless the guy could get a decent pair for like $10 which both sound better and can be wrapped around the ears

I lost a green sticker, too!
But my fix is a tad better. A tad.

*Edit: I just wanted to point you to this cube as an eventual replacement. They are less than $5 and spin SOOO much better. I haven't had mine long enough to see how the stickers hold up to frequent use, but so far I'm loving it, and for less than half the price of a Rubik's.

If they made an actual USB like this using silicone with a retractable USB portion, I would totally buy it, but WHY TF WOULD YOU MAKE A USB OUT OF A BISCUIT THAT'S GOING TO LEAVE CRUMBS EVERYWHERE AND ATTRACT, LIKE, ALL THE ANTS

Edit: Oreo thumb drives do exist

There's this little shop right outside my apartments. It's kind of one of those super cheap not so great stores. But I found some cute dresses with pockets and bought them. I haven't had an issues. I've also bought dresses online from Amazon with pockets.

This is what I'm wearing on Valentine's Day!

I'd recommend redoing the wording using an epoxy modeling clay. Something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000V58DS0/

You'll have much nicer lines that way. Hot glue isn't really much good for creating a finished surface.

u/chrwei · 3 pointsr/DiWHY

this isn't DIY, there's a few companies that make these, and they are pretty nice. I was gifted this about 4 years ago and held up quite well.

Surely it would be easier to just get a giant lava lamp or something.

EDIT: I have less money now, thanks for making me figure out this exists.

> There are many (and I mean MANY) sets of headphones that are superior in every way, often for a fraction of the price.

At $140 the Fostex T40RP MK3 headphones are an amazing deal.

Fostek International.

I got mine for $29 at amazon and it's a full motion swivel articulating arm. It can hold my 46" TV 20" from the wall. AND it came with an HDMI cable and a 6" bubble-level. That bubble level has been very, very useful.
